Third Person’s POV:
“Um. With Natalie and her mate. I told Riven that I was coming to meet her mate!” Giselle replied in a confused tone, listening to Kevin’s sudden angry voice.
“Yeah, did you tell Riven that her mate is a vampire?” Kevin asked in rage.
“Nope, I just got to know that myself!” Giselle replied honestly.
“Giselle, do you know how much dad hates vampires? If he knows that you are sitting with a vampire right now without informing any of us, he will get angry”, Kevin said in anger.
“But he is her mate, Kevin! We can’t decide what is written in our fate!” Giselle tried to argue with her.
She heard Kevin, taking a deep sigh before replying,
“I know, baby. But I can’t handle father when it comes to vampires. I am coming to pick you up. Please understand!”
“But Kevin..!” Giselle was not ready to be ordered by him like that.
“Giselle, baby, please. I will talk to father. Make him understand everything and then you can even take him home, but right now, come home with me. The Beta from the Rose Essence pack saw you sitting with a vampire and called me, because we have a good friendship. What if he had called father before me? Please understand my concern, love. You know, I don’t force you for anything”, Kevin said in a polite tone.
“Okay, fine. Come and pick me up. Vera dropped me and left for the party with Lunas of the neighboring pack”, Giselle informed him in a calm voice.
“Alright, I am coming. Be ready”, Kevin said casually.
Giselle disconnected the call and kept her cell phone on the table.
“Sorry guys, I think I have to leave” Giselle said in an apologetic tone.
“It’s okay, we understand” Arthur replied with an understanding smile.
“Why is he ordering you around like that? I thought your mates were not..!” Natalie began to complain but stopped talking when Arthur held her hand again.
“Let her adjust to her new pack first, Nate. Werewolves and vampires’ rivalry is from centuries. You can’t expect everyone to be accepting like us! Let her go with her mate. We will meet the triplets officially next time and explain everything to them. I am positive about this”, Arthur said, smiling while intertwining their fingers.
“Thank you so much for being so understanding, Arthur”, Giselle said with a smile, but she was still embarrassed about what happened.
“No worries, dear.” Arthur replied nonchalantly.
Just then the door of the café opened and Riven walked in with enraged expressions.
“Giselle, why didn’t you tell me you were meeting vampires? Do you know how much Kevin scolded me!” Riven shouted in anger.
“I am sorry, but I also didn’t know..” Giselle tried to explain but Riven cut her off.
“It’s okay, let’s go now before they chew off my brain” Riven groaned. He grabbed her hand roughly and dragged her away without greeting any of them.
“Easy, bro!” Arthur said when he found Riven’s behavior towards Giselle a bit too harsh.
“Don’t teach me how to behave with my mate!” Saying that, Riven dragged Giselle out of the café.
He made her sit in the Black Mercedes and left.
“Um, Natalie. I want to tell you something”, Arthur said in a nervous tone.
“Hmm! I know. I am sorry, Riven is always weird. Just last night, I thought he was a good guy. We can’t understand him”, Natalie said in a frustrated tone.
“It’s not about Riven. It’s about Giselle!” Arthur said in a serious tone.
The moment Arthur took Giselle’s name, Natalie focused her complete attention towards him.
“I noticed you looking at her weirdly earlier. What is it, Arthur?” Natalie asked in a curious tone.
“Yeah, I was. Please don’t get me wrong, love. You know in our community, royals are blessed with special abilities. The gifts! And, my gift is I can see, hear or feel what is unknown to others,” Arthur replied nervously.
Natalie noticed that it was the first time. Arthur sounded really nervous.
“I do know that, baby, what is the problem? You are scaring me!” Natalie said in a worried voice.
“Your friend, Giselle… She is pregnant!” Arthur replied in a serious tone.
