Giselle’s POV:
Stefan and I exchanged looks before Stefan spoke,
“No. Not all” and shook his head.
“What do you mean by ‘not all’? How many calls did you receive?” Riven asked in an eager tone.
“I received only one. But I got three calls today!” Stefan said honestly and looked at me.
“The previous two calls were from an unknown number but the third and final call was from Caleb’s number and Stefan only received Caleb’s call”, I added, as I was the one who checked the caller ID when his cell phone was ringing continuously during our s*x session.
“What!” Caleb shouted in astonishment.
He immediately removed his cell phone from his pocket and began to check.
“But I didn’t call Stefan Brother at all! And there is no record of a call on my cell phone”, He said worriedly, and showed his call records to us.
“Check the recycling bin” I said, while pointing towards his cell phone.
The person who used his cell phone wasn’t really smart as he didn’t bother deleting his call recording from the recycling bin.
“It is here. The last call to Stefan… was today? But I didn’t call him!” Caleb said in a horrified tone.
“We know it’s not you, Caleb. We just need to know whoever it was and if he really did sound like you that he succeeded in fooling Stefan and Giselle”, Riven said in a polite tone while holding our little brother’s shoulder.
“Give it to me” said Riven, and Caleb handed him his phone.
He took Caleb’s cell phone in his hand and played the recording.
~ “Hello, Caleb?”
“Stefan? Brother? There is an emergency!”
“Why? What happened, Caleb?”
“Mother! Mother..!!”
“What happened to my mother?”
“Calm down, love”
“What happened to Vera? Is she okay?”
“Mother had a heart attack!”
“WHAT???!!”
“Yes, we are taking her to the hospital.”
“Which hospital?”
“Dark Sapphire hospital, of course”
“Yes, we are taking her to the Dark Sapphire hospital, which is two miles away from our pack house. Please be there soon”
“Oh, okay. Don’t worry, little bro. We will be there soon. Just take care of Vera and father”~~
Riven kept the cell phone on the table and looked at Caleb because it really did sound like Caleb.
“This…. This… is not me. I mean he sounds like me but… it was not me! Trust me! I didn’t call him!” Caleb said worriedly in his defense.
“We know, Caleb. It was not you but it really did sound like you. No wonder that person fooled Stef and Giselle”, Kevin said with a deep sigh.
“What about the last two numbers?” I asked in a curious tone.
Stefan called the unknown number but it was switched off.
“It is turned off!” Stefan replied plainly.
“Someone called Stefan from an unknown number. Then someone called Stefan from Caleb’s number before the real Caleb called Kevin and he was coming to deliver the file. What the hell is happening here?” Alpha Riley shouted in a frustrated tone.
“Someone called Stefan from my phone before I called Kevin?” Caleb asked in a confused tone.
Riven nodded in reply.
“I was taking a shower before calling Kevin! All of a sudden, father told me to deliver a file to the office and, as you all know, it’s my habit to take a shower before going out. Someone might have called Stefan during that time”, Caleb pointed out.
“That means the culprit is someone from our own pack!” Riven said in a confident tone.
Everyone’s eyes widened in shock.
“What rubbish! Our pack members are loyal! They can’t even think about doing this to us! Riven, you can’t judge the loyalty of our pack members like this! You are going to be their Alpha soon! Alpha Riley scolded Riven and even glared at him coldly.
“Of course, it’s not one of our pack members, dad! It is someone in the shape of our pack member”. Riven corrected his statement to help his father understand what he actually meant.
“Do you mean there is a fox in our pack?”
