Chapter 132 Angry Alpha Logan
MYSTIC SHADOWS FORTRESS
“How dare that bitch!” Logan screamed. He was losing his mind.
Kyrian stood at the far end of the room, worried he might get hit from the glasses thrown in the air by Logan. They were forced to travel back at night and Logan has resulted in raging crazily since they returned. Kyrian still couldn’t get over the shock that Jovy was the new Luna everyone was talking about. That silly nephew of his called Arlo definitely knew of her new position and had chosen to keep it away from him. He wouldn’t let it slide that easily.
Logan pulled at his hair, pacing the large living room back and forth. It would have been fair if he only harbors hatred at the sight of Jovy. However, his wolf has chosen to let its desires consume it. How does one yearn and hate someone at the same time? Logan let out a loud yell that startled Kyrian.
“She is going to ruin my years of hard work! All for what? How is it my fault that she was unlovable?!” He lamented.
All of a sudden, a snort escaped Kyrian’s lips. “You didn’t just say that did you?”
Logan turned to him. “You heard me quite alright didn’t you?”
“You are one to talk, calling someone unlovable. You, my friend, is one of the hardest person to love in the entire universe. If not the only one. It hurts to say this but don’t you deserve everything coming at you?”
“Why would you utter such demeaning sentence and still claim to be my friend?!” He yelled.
“Shouldn’t you be ashamed of yourself?! That girl was beneath you but you didn’t mind to pump your dick into her. And when she did come into your life as your wife, I remember pleading with you to ease up on the poor girl. But you chose to be the monster you are called. How do you intend to live with that? Tell me! All of this is your fault! I am tired, Logan. Tired of dealing with your emotions, tired of helping you live through decades of grudges and tired of having to cover up your mess every damn time!”
Kyrian sniffed back the tear that threatened to trail down his cheeks. “I have never felt so embarrassed in my life. Jovy was one person who respected me so much. All because of you she couldn’t even look in my face. I do nothing with my time anymore but stick by your side and be the one true person to you. You call me a friend but you never listen to anything I say. What else do you want me to do when you are always hellbent on doing what pleases you. Am I suppose to feel guilty for loving you as a friend and brother?”
Out of nowhere, guilt crippled Logan. “And why are you saying all of this? Is this because of Jovy?” He said softly this time.
Kyrian breathed in and out to calm himself. “This has nothing to do with Jovy. It’s about you. Until when do you think you can keep up this crazy attitude of yours? At this rate you might end up fading because of loneliness. Love makes you realize just how amazing it is to live. It makes you happy on the deepest level. I feel like a part of me died along the way trying to help you heal. If you don’t get over your past at this point it will eat you up to crumbs. You aren’t the only one with a sad past. Did ever sit down to think of what Jovy had to go through? And she is only just a teenager. Still she has learnt to live and you are the reason behind her becoming that kind of Jovy.” He paused to take in a deep breathe. “I think I have been talking too much. Do whatever you want, Logan. I will take my leave now.” He walked out as fast as his legs could carry him out of the fortress house. His car was back at his own house. He inhaled and exhaled. And he dialed the only person he would really love to talk to.
‘Can you come pick me up please?’ He mumbled into the receiver.
Arlo arrived in ten minutes. “You look a mess.” He mused when Kyrian got into the car.
“Thanks for notifying me.” He responded with a sneer. “I never knew this is how one feels when you get into a fight with someone you love.”
“You didn’t tell me you were in love with him. How could you have hidden such thing from me?”
Kyrian rolled his eyes. “Sometimes I wonder if you are stupid or it’s just intentional. Do I not love you? Why won’t I love Logan too? He has been more of a brother than a mere friend.”
“I have always known you love him more than you will ever love me.” Arlo kissed his teeth.
“Shut up. I can’t cope with two bratty adults at the same time.” He said, staring out the window. “I’m sure you already know what happened.”
Arlo pulled his lower lip in. He knew there was no point lying. “Yes, she called to tell me a while ago.”
“You brat!” Kyrian spat as he threw a punch at Arlo’s arm.
“Ouch! That hurts. For real!” He whined
“That’s for keeping the secret away from me for so long! You could have at least trusted me. Also, why did you give off Logan’s properties to her?”
Arlo gasped. “How did you know about that? Does uncle Logan know I did it?”
“He doesn’t. And I got to know because aside the seller of his properties, I am the only person who knows and has a copy of each property. I am sure you snooped around my study to find them.”
Arlo grinned too widely. “I guess so.”
Kyrian caressed his forehead. “I don’t know what to do to you, Arlo. I should really take a break from you two.”
“You really should. I agree to it hundred percent. You have done so-”
“How about you just drive and stop talking.” Kyrian cut him short.
Arlo made a mocking face. “Aye, Captain.”
Logan woke up the next morning feeling disgusted with himself. He didn’t get to sleep until he had jerked off with the thought of Jovy and moaning her name consistently three different times before he got to sleep. To make matters worse, he slept better than he had ever since she left. One of the maids brought him coffee that helped put him a bit at ease. He didn’t want to go to the office to avoid being faced with the board members tons of questions that they have for him.
When he checked the time it was an hour past the time Kyrian always arrived to drag him to the office on days he acted disinterested. However, there was no sign of Kyrian till noon. Even when he called the office, they said he hadn’t arrived. Logan worried he might have been deserted by his only true friend.
When he dialed his number, Kyrian didn’t pick until the third trial. ‘Kyrian?’
‘Please give me some space to myself. I really don’t want to talk to you right now.’ Kyrian told him before hanging up.
Logan tried to hold down his anger as he squeezed the phone in his hold hoping it would break. Jovy was definitely going to pay for the humiliation she brought upon him and he will make sure she never dreams of crossing his path ever again.
