Akira’s Point Of View
“How is she?” I asked Yamo, the physician that has been tending to Alexa all week.
“She is stable.” He replied with his full attention on the needle he was inserting at her collar bone.
“I don’t want stable. Tell me if she’ll wake up soon.”
He sighed tiredly and faced me. He looked frustrated. “If I knew that, I wouldn’t be feeling as frustrated as I am. Your impatience is adding to my frustration and I’ve had it up to here.”
I pulled him up by the collar and raised my fist to hit him but mother’s yell stopped me.
“Akira!”
I turned to her furiously with blazing eyes.
“Let the man go.” She said calmly but authoritatively. I pushed Yamo back to the chair roughly and dusted my shirt. She took graceful steps to Alexa’s bed and turned to Yamo.
“Sorry about that, Yamo. He’s been irritated all week because of the Luna’s state.”
“Yes, your highness.” He said in understanding and I scoffed. He was complaining a few seconds ago. Mother looked at me and I turned away.
“I understand your frustrations, alpha, but you have to understand that everyone is doing the best they can to make sure the Luna awakes. It frustrates me too that she’s here, lying unconscious, but what can we do? We can only let the physicians do their job and pray to our goddess that she regains consciousness. Don’t let us act irrational.”
“Understood, Luna mother.” I said grudgingly and she smiled.
“Good.” She turned to Yamo. “Yamo, how is she?”
“She’s stable, your highness. Her cold and hot energy is getting balanced but for some reason, the process causes her breathing to be shallow.”
My heart picked its pace as I heard that.
“What do you mean shallow?” I asked impatiently.
“Alpha,” mother called warningly and I sucked in a breath to calm myself down. “Tell me…” I said calmly. “What do you mean by shallow?”
He sighed. “During my training days, my master told me a story about a woman. Centuries ago, she fainted just like the Luna after releasing a large amount of energy. She fell into unconsciousness and stayed there for three months before-”
“Three months?” I exclaimed. “You mean to tell me she’s going to stay in this state for three months?”
Yamo eyed me tiredly. “or more.”
“M… more?!”
“Akira…” Mother called and I sat back down.
“As I was saying, when she finally woke up, she seemed like a completely different person. Like her soul was interchanged. She seemed stronger and fiercer. The legend has it that even her husband fell out of love with her because his wife seemed like a stranger.”
“That means he never sincerely loved her.”
“All I’m saying is that the Luna might seem different when she wakes up. My master told me that an ancient soul took over the woman’s body to achieve her long time goal.”
“Which is?” Mother asked.
“No one knows but what’s sure is that her goal is revenge. Revenge against what or who? No one knows. If she fails to finish her quest, she dies and come back again in the body of a woman she chooses.”
“This… this is crazy.” I said in disbelief and Yamo nodded.
“It is. I didn’t believe this story when he told me but seeing Luna in this state, I’m starting to believe it. This was exactly what happened to  that same woman.”
“So… you’re saying Alexa might wake up and not be the Alexa I know? My Alexa?”
He nodded. “I’m sorry but yes. You should brace yourself for whatever is coming.” He said  and I looked down at Alexa. I took her hand and kissed the back of her palm.
“I don’t care. She’s Alexa. My Alexa. No matter the form she takes, she’ll always be my queen. My love. Nothing can ever change that.”
Alexa’s Point Of View
I don’t know how I got here. I remember fainting in Akira’s arms and then when I opened my eyes, I found myself in the middle  of a blue flower field. I don’t know how long I’ve been here but I know it’s been a long time.
There is no darkness. The sun is not the yellow sun I remember. It’s blue. I don’t need a sorcerer to tell me I’m not on earth. I’ve been walking down this vast flower field that seema to be neverending. No one is in sight. Not even an animal. It’s just me.
Despite this, I still call out to anyone who could be watching me.
“Hello? Anybody here?” I yelled.
“Please, anyone, answer me!”
Just then, a might wind blew past me and I shut my eyes to prevent debris from entering them. When I reopened them, I found myself in the middle of a mystic forest.
“Wow.” I gawked as I looked around. Everywhere is beautiful. Colourful butterflies flew past me as I began to tread ahead. I got to a lake ahead of me and admired how beautiful it shone under the… moonlight? It’s night?
I looked up and admired the beautiful blue moon.
“Is anyone here?” I asked as I looked around. I looked at my reflection in the lake and finally noticed my appearance. My hair was red and long. Longer than it has ever been. I was wearing a white flowing gown which was off at my shoulders. I felt like a princess in a fantasy book.
My skin was so smooth and silky. I have never looked this perfect in my life.
“Whoa,” I gawked as I touched my face in fascination. I touched the water and its ripples were like guitar strings.
“Where in the world is this place?” I wondered aloud as I walked to a rock. I placed my hand on it and a strange sensation ran through my body. It was as if I could feel the heartbeat of the rock. I closed my eyes as my whole body felt calmness.
“Beautiful, isn’t it?” An angelic voice said from behind and I turned abruptly. I gasped as I beheld the most beautiful creature I’ve ever laid my eyes upon. She did not only sound angelic, she looked angelic.
“I’ve been waiting for you, Alexa.”
