Akira’s Point Of View
“Alpha, we have the spies in the dungeon already.” Gorki, the head warrior, tells me, walking into the office with his heeled boots making clicks against the floorboards. I drop my pen and look up, “Perfect,” I compliment their achievement and he smiles.
“Lady Alice specifically took part in that only for your love. You should give her a try, Alpha.” Gorki says jokingly but my wolf doesn’t take it as a joke. I fight the urge to pounce on him and remind myself he’s my warrior. I calm my wolf down and stand up, dropping the paper sheet on the desk.
“Say anything, but don’t step a foot out of the office. And you might just want to tell Raya to prepare for a gorgeous dinner.” His blue doe eyes gleam at the mention of her name. Clearly, he has feelings for the woman every other person in the pack counts to be lowly. I leaned back and eyed him up and down. Since when did he start liking her? Have they even ever met? “Or you might like to offer yourself to her as dinner.”
“Alpha!” His voice is scolding but her face says something different. Crimson colored cheeks can only tell of fluttering feelings.
“It’s obvious you like her, Gorki.” I say, “Just tell her. You have my blessings.” I wink at him before turning around and walking out.
I’ve been out of the pack for three days. The pack warriors reported a case of a rogue. Getting to the border, we did catch some rogues but the most surprising thing is that they did not resist. They surrendered. Which is highly suspicious.
I make my way to the dungeon as the rest of the pack won’t stop greeting me. The place is dark and smells of dried blood, just what it is used for. The dungeon is dirty and stinking with wolves and a bit of vampires’ dried dead bodies and splashed bloods everywhere. It has been used more in the years before than now. Just making an estimate about the number of bodies that has been killed in this place over the years makes me realize why I am regarded as the most powerful alpha.
After a second scanning around the room, I finally find the two livings in a corner of the room. They aren’t dead yet but it looks like they’ve been battling for their life for hours now. And their skin? It’s burning already. Wolfsbane! It’s even beginning to affect me.
I squat before the two dying werewolves and one of them slowly looks up. A smirk plays on my lips as I read the pitiful expression on the beta’s face.
“Mercy?” I laugh at the word and he tries to open his mouth to talk but the wolfsbane potion on an open wound… The smell is beginning to make me weak too.
“Don’t worry, your blood won’t dry up like the others. You would make a gorgeous dinner for our the hounds.” I tease but the next second, I plunge my claws into their heart. A loud, sharp grunt and silence. Death! I smirk at their splashed blood. If there’s something I love then it’s the sight of the enemy’s blood. And if there’s a job I preferred most, then it’s preparing the best of dinner for the hounds with their blood.
I stand on my feet and replace my claws with human fingers before stepping out of the dungeon. I walk to the stairs that leads to my stay. I ascend it and step into the hampton styled living room. I walk to my room and to the bathroom where I cleanse my blood stained self.
I can’t feel Alexandra anywhere in the palace. I wonder where she went to. I changed my clothes and exited my room. I walked down the stairs to the exit. Thankfully, I met Raya on the way out.
“Alpha,” she bowed.
“Hey, Raya. Where is Alexa?” I asked her and she scooted back.
“I’m also searching for her, alpha. She’s nowhere to be found.”
I frowned. “What do you mean?”
“I-”
“Have you not seen her today at all?”
“I have. I helped her dress up thus morning and I left her room. When I came back, I couldn’t find her.” She said and I hummed.
Did she go out on her secret quest again? I nodded at Raya and turned in the direction of her room. I went in and shut the door. I went over to the curtain and drew it, allowing sunlight to light to room.
I walked to her bed and pulled the pillows up. Did the maids not take care of this place today? It’s quite disarranged. I walked over to the dresser and arranged the creams and perfumes. I noticed that one of the drawers was  ajar. I pushed it in and adjusted the chair.
“Alpha,” Raya said as she came in.
“What happened here?” I asked her.
“Here?” She looked around. She gasped, “what in the world went down here?” She looked up at me. “We arranged the room the moment she left this morning.”
“Then what happened here?”
“It… looks like someone came in here.”
“To steal?” I wondered and she nodded.
“Probably.” She said. Who dares to steal from the Luna?
“Search every where, right now!”
“That will have to wait, alpha. Her highness is back.”
Hearing that, I sprinted out of the room without wasting time. I rushed down the stairs but couldn’t find her on the first floor. I looked back to ask of her whereabouts from Raya but I couldn’t find her. Gosh, I should have asked her where Alexa was. I went back up the stairs and found Alexa and Xena going toward her room.
“Alexa!” I called and she turned to me. Her face was so pale like all life was drained off her body.
“Akira-”
“What’s wrong? You look… what happened?”
She smiled and let go of Xena. She came to me and hugged me.
“You have a fever, Alexa.” She held me tighter. I felt her grip around me loosen and I looked down at her.
“Alexa? Alexa! Get the physician, now!”
“Your highness, the physician is here.”
I carried her in bridal style and rushed to her room. Whoever is responsible for this is dead meat, I swear.
