Alexa’s Point Of View
“What happened? Cyan talk to me!”
“Oh wait…” He hissed. “I thought it was your alpha. Sorry, false alarm.”
*What do you mean?”
“I saw some guy heavily injured and he resembled your alpha from behind. Don’t fret, he isn’t the one.”
I sighed in relief and turned to Xena. “Cyan?” She asked and I nodded.
“Tell me, where is this injured man?” I asked him.
“I don’t know. I’m in the middle of a forest.”
“You’re out of the palace?” I gasped.
“Yeah. I thought I heard my mother call so I followed her voice.”
“How is that even possible?”
“You can’t understand. Anyway, I’m fine but I don’t think this fella is. He’s fainted, Alexa.”
“Just stay where you are. We’ll find you.” I said and he hummed.
“Xena, we need to go.”
“Where are we going?” She questioned.
“To save someone.”
“Alright. Looks like my job here is done so…” Xander made to leave but Xena pulled him back by his collar.
“You’re coming with us.” She said as she pulled him along.
Xena and her brother wouldn’t stop bickering on the way. They kept throwing insults at each other and hitting each other at every slight chance.
“What’s wrong with you guys?”
“It’s Xena.” Xander snapped and I sighed.
“Who is older between you two?” I asked and Xander smiled smugly.
“Me of course.” He said proudly as he adjusted his collar. I scoffed out a laugh and pointed at Xena. “So Xena is older.”
Xander gasped. “She is not.”
“Younger brothers are the only people that annoy the hell out of their older sisters. I once had a younger brother so I know.” I said and Xander grinned mischievously.
“Gosh, where is this wolf?” I said under my breath as we walked deeper into the forest. I looked ahead and saw a little blue tail wagging.
“Cyan!” I beamed as I rushed to him.
“You’re here.” He said and I nodded. I looked down at the man groaning in pain on the ground.
“Are you okay?” I asked as I crutched down. I carried his head and placed it on my lap gently. His face was bruised so badly. He had his hand at the side of his abdomen. I took his hand off and gasped at the sight of the ghastly pierce wound.
“That’s bad.” Xander said as he bent down. He inspected the wound and said, “it’s infected. There is no way we’d get a physician here and we’d walk miles before we see one. He’s not gonna make it.”
“It would have been better if there were some black mountain tulips around but they are only found on the lands of Raven Pack.” I said.
“Let’s go there then.” Cyan said.
“Even if we decide to go, he’ll be gone before we get there.” Xander replied and I looked up at him. How did he hear Cyan? We’ll figure that out later. Right now, my priority is this man.
“Excuse me, can you talk?” I asked as I placed my palm on his wound. He swallowed painfully and let out a gasped.
“What happened to you?” I asked.
“He… yo… coming…” He tried to speak but I couldn’t make out whatever he said. I grew more worried as he began to struggle for breath.
“It’s fine, it’s fine. Just breathe… breathe…”
He held my arm and said, “he… help me…”
“I’m trying…”
He looks so familiar. His eyes…
“You know what, let me carry him on my back. I’m a really fast runner.” Xander said.
Fast runner. If only Akira was here. He would take him to the physician in seconds. I looked down at the man and he looked like he was giving up.
“Stay with me. Please, stay with me, okay.”
“I… can’t…”
“Shhhh, it’s fine. It’ll be fine.”
Oh Moon Goddess. I seek your help. Help me save this young man. He must not…
“Alexa, your hand!” Xena yelled and I opened my eyes. I looked down and saw light emitting from my hand which was placed against the man’s wound.
“What the -”
The light intensified and the wound closed up as it did. The light died down and I took my hand off his chest. His wound was healed up.
“What was that?” Xander gawked. Even I myself don’t know what just happened. I looked up at Xena and she had the same shock in her eyes as mine.
The man was already breathing steadily as he rested.
I hissed in pain as I felt a sharp pain in my chest.
“Are you okay?” Xena asked and I nodded.
“Let’s… let’s get him home.” I said breathlessly. For some reason, I’m getting out of breath. Xander carried the man on his back and Xena helped me stand.
“Are you sure you’re fine?” Xena asked and I nodded.
“Yeah. Just a little bit weak that’s all.” I said and she nodded. She supported me by my waist as we walked back to the pack. We got back home in thirty minutes. We entered the palace and Xander took the man straight to the physician.
“Let’s get you up.” Xena said as we climbed the stairs. When we got up, Raya was standing by the entrance of the hallway.
“Raya, get me the physician.” Xena ordered.
“Your highness! You look pale, what’s wrong?” She asked worriedly.
“I’m fine, Raya.”
“As if! You look so pale. One would mistake you for a vampire.”
“Enough with the chitchat! Get the the physician.”
“Ah, yes yes!” Raya rushed out and I turned to Xena.
“You should have been so harsh. She was just worried.”
“You should worry about yourself.” She said with hardened expression. “You look like you’d faint anytime from now.”
I shrugged and took her hand off my waist. “Look, I’m fine!” I said as I wiggled my body. She scoffed and flicked my forehead.
“You’re unbelievable.”
Honestly, I’m not feeling well at all. I really feel like I’d lose consciousness in a second.
“Alexa!” My heart skipped a beat as I heard the voice I’ve so much missed. I turned and smiled when I saw him.
“Akira…”
“What’s wrong? You look…. what happened?” I smiled weakly and went to him. I wrapped my arms around him and placed my head on his chest.
“You have a fever, Alexa.” He said worriedly. I smiled and held him tighter. I just want to stay here, in his arms, forever.
“Your highness, the physician is here…”
That was the last sentence I heard before I slipped into consciousness.
