Andrianne was waiting at the hospital entrance for Lucas to be discharged. She was dressed in a simple white dress that hugged her pregnancy curves, with her hair tied in a neat bun. She couldn’t help but feel nervous and excited at the same time. It had been a long two weeks since she had last seen Lucas, and she missed him dearly.
Finally, she saw a nurse wheeling Lucas out in a wheelchair. He looked fragile and weak, but Andrianne’s heart skipped a beat at the sight of him. She rushed over to him and gave him a gentle hug.
“Lucas, are you feeling better?” she asked him.
Lucas looked up at her with a blank expression. He didn’t seem to recognize her at all. Andrianne felt her heart sink, but she tried not to show it.
“Yes, I’m feeling better,” he replied in a monotone voice.
Andrianne felt a lump form in her throat. She knew that Lucas had lost his memory, but she didn’t expect him to forget her completely.
“Come on, let’s get you home,” she said, trying to hide her disappointment.
As they made their way to the car, Andrianne noticed that Emily was waiting for them. She looked ready for a fight, with her arms crossed over her chest and a scowl on her face.
“What are you doing here, Emily?” Andrianne asked, trying to keep her voice calm.
“I’m here to take care of Lucas,” Emily replied, her tone cold and unfriendly.
Andrianne didn’t like the sound of that. She didn’t trust Emily, especially not with Lucas’s well-being.
“I don’t think that’s a good idea,” Andrianne said firmly. “Lucas should be with me.”
Emily glared at her. “I have just as much right to take care of him as you do,” she said.
Andrianne could feel her anger rising. She wanted to scream at Emily and tell her to leave Lucas alone, but she knew that wouldn’t solve anything.
“Fine, you can take care of him,” she said through gritted teeth. “But I’ll be checking in on him regularly.”
Emily smirked. “Suit yourself,” she said, before turning on her heels and walking away.
Andrianne watched her go, feeling defeated. She couldn’t believe that Emily was going to be the one taking care of Lucas. She didn’t trust her, and she knew that Emily would do anything to get back at her.
As she drove Lucas back to the mansion, Andrianne couldn’t help but feel sad. She missed the old Lucas, the one who would wrap his arms around her and tell her he loved her. But now he was just a stranger to her, and she didn’t know how to make things right.
When they arrived at the mansion, Andrianne helped Lucas out of the car and into the house. She led him to his room, which had been freshly cleaned and decorated.
“Here you go, this is your room,” she said gently, helping him sit down on the bed.
Lucas looked around the room, taking in his surroundings. “This is a nice room,” he said.
Andrianne smiled weakly. “Yes, it is,” she said. “You used to love this room.”
Lucas looked at her with a blank expression. “I don’t remember anything,” he said.
Andrianne felt tears prick at her eyes. She didn’t know how to handle this. She wanted to shake Lucas and tell him to remember her, but she knew that wouldn’t help.
“It’s okay,” she said softly. “We’ll make new memories together.” she replied, she stayed for a while but left when she couldn’t bear Emily’s constant fuss and Lucas was not in the right frame of mind to stand up for her– oh how she loathes Emily!
Andrianne took a deep breath and tried to hold back her tears. She knew that Emily was not the best person to take care of Lucas, but she didn’t want to start another fight. Instead, she just wished them luck and watched as they left the hospital together.
As she walked back to her car, Andrianne couldn’t shake off the feeling of dread in her stomach. She didn’t trust Emily, and she was worried about Lucas’s well-being. But she knew that she had to give them a chance and hope for the best.
Andrianne decided to drive back to Jackie’s house and rest for a while before heading to the mansion. She needed to clear her head and come up with a plan to win Lucas back from Emily. She was determined not to let Emily destroy their marriage.
When Andrianne got to Jackie’s house, she immediately went to her room and sat on the bed. She took a few deep breaths and tried to calm herself down. But her mind was racing, and she couldn’t stop thinking about Lucas and Emily.
She picked up her phone and dialed Lucas’s number, but it went straight to voicemail. Andrianne sighed and put her phone down. She knew that she had to be patient and wait for Emily to call her.
As she sat there in silence, Andrianne started to feel a sharp pain in her stomach. She gasped and held her belly, feeling the baby kick inside of her. She knew that she had to take care of herself and the baby first before she could focus on Lucas and Emily.
Andrianne got up from the bed and went to the kitchen to make herself a cup of tea. She sat down at the table and sipped on her tea, trying to relax her body and mind. But her thoughts kept drifting back to Lucas and Emily.
After a while, Andrianne decided that she couldn’t wait any longer. She got up from the table, grabbed her car keys, and headed to the mansion to see Lucas. She knew that Emily would be there, but she didn’t care. She had to see Lucas and make sure that he was okay.
As Andrianne drove to the mansion, she felt a mix of emotions. She was nervous, anxious, and scared. She didn’t know what to expect when she got there, but she knew that she had to be strong and stay focused.
Finally, she arrived at the mansion and parked her car outside. She took a deep breath and got out of the car. As she walked towards the front door, she saw Emily through the window, sitting on the couch with Lucas.
Andrianne’s heart sank as she watched them. She could see Emily talking to Lucas, but she couldn’t hear what they were saying. She felt a surge of jealousy and anger, but she tried to push it aside.
Andrianne took another deep breath and knocked on the door. Emily got up from the couch and answered the door, looking surprised to see Andrianne.
“What are you doing here?” Emily asked, crossing her arms over her chest.
“I came to see Lucas,” Andrianne replied, trying to keep her voice steady.
“He’s resting,” Emily said, blocking the doorway.
“I just want to check on him,” Andrianne said, trying to push past Emily.
But Emily didn’t budge. “I don’t think that’s a good idea,” she said, glaring at Andrianne.
Andrianne felt her anger rising. She knew that Emily was trying to keep her away from Lucas, and she wasn’t going to let that happen. “Move out of my way, Emily,” she said, pushing past her.
Emily stumbled back, but Andrianne didn’t stop. She walked into room but stopped in her track when she saw Lucas sleeping, she walked over to his bed and kissed him on his fore, mostly in a bid to spite Emily, she left but vowed to come regularly, she didn’t trust Emily for a split second.
