Emily knew that the party celebrating Lucas’s birthday was the perfect opportunity to try to make amends. She had been feeling guilty about the way she had acted towards Lucas since the breakup and was determined to apologize and make things right. She knew it wouldn’t be easy, but she was willing to try.
As soon as she arrived at the party, Emily spotted Lucas talking with a group of his colleagues. She took a deep breath and made her way over to him, her heart racing. When she got closer, Lucas looked up and saw her.
“Emily,” he said, surprised. “What are you doing here?”
“I came to apologize,” she said, trying to keep her voice steady. “I know I acted badly towards you, and I’m sorry. I shouldn’t have tried to push the relationship when it was clear that it was over between us.”
Lucas looked at her for a long moment, his expression unreadable. Emily felt a knot forming in her stomach. She had expected him to be angry, or at least cold towards her, but his silence was worse.
Finally, he spoke. “I appreciate the apology, Emily,” he said. “But you’re right, it’s over between us. I think it’s best if we just move on and try to be civil to each other.”
Lucas was feeling quite tipsy after a few rounds of drinks with his staff. He was having a great time celebrating his birthday, and the alcohol only made things better. However, he knew he needed to leave soon, as he had promised Andrianne that they would go out to dinner later that evening.
As he was about to stand up, Emily approached him with a coy smile on her face. “Hey, Lucas, I was wondering if you could give me a ride home? I don’t want to take a taxi at this hour,” she said, batting her eyelashes.
Lucas hesitated for a moment, but then shrugged and agreed. He figured it wouldn’t hurt to be a gentleman and help out one of his employees. Besides, Emily had apologized earlier for their past issues, and he wanted to show her that he was willing to let bygones be bygones.
As they walked out of the bar and into the cool night air, Lucas felt a bit woozy from the drinks. He stumbled slightly and Emily laughed, taking his arm to steady him. “Careful there, big guy,” she teased. “Don’t want to fall over and hurt yourself.”
They got into Lucas’s car, and Emily gave him directions to her house. Along the way, they chatted about work and the recent projects they had been involved in. Emily seemed genuinely interested in what Lucas had to say, and he found himself opening up to her more than he had in the past.
However, as they reached Emily’s house, Lucas suddenly felt an overwhelming sense of drowsiness. He tried to shake it off, but it was no use. “I’m sorry, Emily, I don’t know what’s come over me,” he slurred. “I can’t keep my eyes open.”
Emily smiled sweetly at him. “Don’t worry, Lucas. Just rest your head for a bit. I’ll keep an eye on you.”
Before Lucas could protest, he felt himself sinking into a deep sleep. Unbeknownst to him, Emily had slipped a drug called Rohypnol into his drink, causing him to become lethargic and vulnerable. She watched him for a few minutes to make sure he was completely out, and then took out her phone to make a call.
Emily struggled to carry Lucas’s heavy frame up the stairs to her room. She had not anticipated how difficult it would be, but she was determined to follow through with her plan. Lucas was too drunk to notice what was happening, and Emily was grateful for that. She finally made it to her bedroom, where she gently laid him on the bed.
Lucas groaned softly and tried to sit up, but Emily pushed him back down. “Shh, it’s okay,” she whispered, running her fingers through his hair. “Just rest.”
Lucas mumbled something incoherent, and Emily smiled to herself. She had him right where she wanted him. She left the room momentarily to grab a glass of water for Lucas, hoping that it would help him feel better.
When she returned, Lucas was still lying on the bed, his eyes closed. Emily set the glass down on the nightstand and sat down next to him. She watched him for a moment, admiring his handsome face. She had always been attracted to him, and she couldn’t believe that he was finally in her room, lying on her bed.
“Lucas,” she said softly, touching his arm. “Lucas, can you hear me?”
Lucas groaned again and turned his head slightly, but he didn’t open his eyes.
Emily sighed and shook her head. She had hoped that he would be more awake, but she knew that she had to act fast. She took a deep breath and leaned over him, kissing him gently on the lips.
At first, Lucas didn’t respond, but then he began to kiss her back. Emily felt a rush of excitement as their kiss deepened, and she knew that she had him right where she wanted him.
“What are you doing, Emily?” he slurred, his eyes glazed with confusion.
“I’m just trying to make things right between us, Lucas,” Emily said, her voice dripping with sweetness. “You and I belong together, don’t you see that?”
Lucas shook his head, his mind still foggy from the drugs.
“No, Emily, we don’t belong together,” he said, his voice growing stronger. “I love Andrianne, and I always will.”
Emily’s eyes narrowed, and a look of anger flashed across her face.
“You don’t love her, Lucas, you’re just confused,” she spat. “I’m the one you truly love, and you’re going to realize that soon enough.”
Lucas struggled weakly against her, but Emily was too strong. She leaned down and kissed him fiercely, her hands roaming over his body.
“Stop it, Emily!” Lucas gasped, trying to push her away. “This isn’t right!”
But Emily was relentless, and she continued to kiss and caress him, determined to make him hers. For a few moments, they were locked in a fierce struggle, but eventually, Lucas grew too weak to resist.
As Emily looked down at him, triumphant and victorious, she knew that she had finally won. Lucas was hers now, body and soul. And nothing would ever tear them apart.
