Chapter 68
Emily sat on the couch in her living room, her mind racing with ideas of how to get rid of Andrianne. She knew that she needed to act quickly before the pregnancy announcement could affect her plans. She had been Lucas’s mistress for years and had grown accustomed to the luxurious lifestyle he provided her with. Andrianne’s presence threatened everything she had worked for.
As she sat there, Emily remembered a time when Lucas had mentioned to her that he had a deep love for Andrianne. She knew that she had to find a way to turn Lucas against her, but she couldn’t do it alone. She picked up her phone and dialed a number.
“Hello,” a voice answered on the other end.
“Hi, it’s Emily,” she said. “I need your help.”
“Sure thing,” the voice replied. “What do you need?”
“I need to get rid of Andrianne,” Emily said bluntly. “She’s pregnant with Lucas’s child, and I can’t have her ruining everything I’ve worked for.”
There was a pause on the other end of the line before the voice spoke again. “What do you suggest we do?”
Emily leaned back on the couch, deep in thought. “I don’t know yet. But we need to come up with something quickly before Lucas finds out.”
The voice on the other end of the line agreed, and they hung up. Emily knew that she needed to act fast and come up with a plan to get rid of Andrianne. She couldn’t let anyone stand in the way of what she wanted, even if it meant resorting to drastic measures.
For the next several hours, Emily sat in her living room, brainstorming ideas and thinking of ways to get Andrianne out of the picture. She knew that Lucas was a wealthy man with a lot of resources, so she needed to be careful and strategic in her approach.
As the sun began to set, Emily finally came up with a plan. She picked up her phone and dialed the same number she had earlier.
“I’ve got it,” she said when the person on the other end of the line answered. “Meet me at the coffee shop on Main Street in an hour.”
The person agreed, and Emily hung up the phone. She knew that this plan was risky, but she was willing to do whatever it took to get what she wanted. She took a deep breath and stood up from the couch, ready to put her plan into action.

Lucas sat behind his desk in his spacious office, his mind wandering as he stared at his computer screen. He couldn’t concentrate on work, not when his thoughts kept drifting back to the news he had just received. Andrianne was pregnant.
A smile played on his lips as he thought about how much this would change their lives. They had been talking about starting a family for a while, but the news was still a surprise. He couldn’t wait to tell everyone he knew and start preparing for the baby’s arrival.
He leaned back in his chair, closing his eyes as he pictured the future. A family of his own with Andrianne and their child, spending weekends together, watching their child grow, teaching them new things. It was a beautiful dream, and he was eager to make it a reality.
His thoughts were interrupted by a knock on his door. He straightened up and cleared his throat. “Come in,” he called out.
One of his assistants entered the room, holding a stack of papers in her hand. “Good morning, Mr. Thompson,” she said, smiling politely. “I have the reports you requested.”
Lucas nodded, taking the papers from her. “Thank you, Lisa. I’ll take a look at these later. Is there anything else you need from me?”
“No, sir,” she replied, turning to leave the room. “Just let me know if you need anything else.”
Lucas watched her go, his mind returning to the news of his impending fatherhood. He wondered how Andrianne was doing at home. He wanted to call her, but he knew she was probably resting. He decided to wait until later to check on her.
As the day went on, Lucas found it harder and harder to focus on work. He kept thinking about the baby, about Andrianne, and about their future together. He knew he had to be patient, but he couldn’t wait to hold his child in his arms.
Finally, it was time to go home. Lucas grabbed his briefcase and headed out of the office. He couldn’t wait to see Andrianne and talk about the baby.
As he drove home, he thought about how much their lives were about to change. He had always wanted to be a father, but now it was becoming a reality. He was excited, nervous, and happy all at once.
When he arrived home, he walked through the door and called out to Andrianne. She didn’t answer, so he headed to the bedroom. He found her lying in bed, her eyes closed, looking tired.
Lucas approached her slowly, trying not to wake her up. He leaned down and placed a gentle kiss on her forehead. “Hey, how are you feeling?” he asked softly.
Andrianne stirred, opening her eyes slowly. She smiled weakly at him. “I’m okay,” she said, her voice quiet.
Lucas sat down on the edge of the bed, taking her hand in his. “I’m so excited about the baby,” he said, grinning at her. “I can’t stop thinking about it.”
Andrianne smiled back at him. “I know, me too,” she said, her voice filled with happiness. “I can’t wait to be a mother.”
Lucas leaned in and kissed her softly. “You’re going to be an amazing mother,” he said, his voice full of love. “I’m so lucky to have you in my life.”
Andrianne reached up and touched his face. “I’m lucky to have you too,” she said, her eyes shining with tears. “I love you so much.”
Lucas leaned in and kissed her again, holding her close. He felt a surge of emotion as he thought about all they’ve been through as he stared right into her eyes, he knew he had fallen completely for her.
