Andrianne quickly finished her breakfast, feeling a sense of urgency rise within her. She had an appointment with Steve, her father’s alleged bodyguard, and she knew that she needed to be ready.
As she made her way up the stairs, Andrianne couldn’t help but feel a sense of unease. She had always been suspicious of Steve, and she couldn’t shake the feeling that he was hiding something from her.
But she pushed those thoughts aside and focused on getting ready. She stepped into the shower, feeling the warm water wash over her body, and she couldn’t help but relax for a moment.
Once she was dressed, Andrianne made her way to the door, checking her appearance in the mirror one last time. She wore a black dress that hugged her curves in all the right places, her hair styled in loose waves that cascaded down her back.
Andrianne’s heart skipped a beat as she heard Steve’s words. Her mind couldn’t process the information as her eyes widened in disbelief. She hadn’t seen Steve in years, not since their bitter breakup in college. But here he was, standing in front of her, professing his love for her and threatening Lucas.
“Steve, what are you talking about?” Andrianne asked, her voice shaking with confusion.
“I’m talking about Lucas,” Steve replied, his voice low and dangerous. “I heard about your arranged marriage, and I couldn’t let it happen. I love you, Andrianne. I always have. And nobody on earth is going to take you away from me, not even Lucas.”
Andrianne felt a chill run down her spine as she looked into Steve’s eyes. There was a darkness there, a rage that she had never seen before. She knew that she needed to tread carefully, that Steve was capable of doing something drastic.
“Steve, I appreciate your concern, but I am happy with Lucas,” Andrianne said, trying to keep her voice calm. “He treats me well, and I have grown to love him.”
Steve’s expression darkened, and Andrianne could see the anger building in his eyes. “You can’t be serious, Andrianne. You belong with me. We were meant to be together.”
Andrianne could see that there was no reasoning with Steve. His mind was made up, and he was willing to do whatever it takes to get what he wanted.
“Steve, please,” Andrianne pleaded. “Don’t do anything stupid. You could get hurt, or worse. Just let me go, and we can both move on with our lives.”
But Steve wasn’t listening. He had made up his mind, and he was determined to follow through with his plan. Andrianne felt a sense of panic rising within her, and she knew that she needed to get away from him as soon as possible.
As she turned to leave, Steve grabbed her arm, his grip tight and unforgiving. “You’re not going anywhere, Andrianne. You belong with me, and I’ll do whatever it takes to make that happen.”
Andrianne felt a surge of fear as she looked into Steve’s eyes. She knew that she was in trouble, and she needed to find a way out of this situation before it was too late.
“Steve, please,” Andrianne begged. “Let me go. We can talk about this another time.”
But Steve wasn’t listening. He had made up his mind, and he was determined to have Andrianne at any cost.
Andrianne felt her heart pounding in her chest as Steve pulled her closer to him, his eyes burning with intensity. She knew that she needed to find a way out of this, and fast.
“Steve, listen to me,” Andrianne said, her voice shaking with fear. “You can’t do this. You’ll ruin everything.”
But Steve wasn’t listening. He had made up his mind, and he was determined to have Andrianne at any cost.
Andrianne’s mind raced as she tried to think of a way out of this situation. She knew that she needed to find a way to distract Steve, to give her enough time to escape.
“Steve, look over there,” Andrianne said, pointing to a group of people walking down the street. “Isn’t that your friend from college?”
Steve turned his head for a split second, and Andrianne took her chance. She pulled away from him and ran as fast as she could, her heart pounding in her chest.
As she ran down the street, Andrianne could hear Steve’s footsteps behind her. She could feel the panic rising in her chest. Why was Steve chasing her? What did he want from her?
She didn’t dare to look back, afraid of what she might see. Instead, she kept running as fast as she could, her heart pounding in her chest. She didn’t know where she was going, but she knew she had to get away from Steve.
As she turned a corner, she saw a police car parked on the side of the road. Without thinking, she ran towards it, hoping to find some help.
“Please, officer, you have to help me,” she said, panting and out of breath. “My ex-boyfriend is chasing me and I don’t know what to do.”
The police officer looked at her with concern, his hand resting on his gun. “Stay calm, miss. What’s your name?”
“Andrianne. Andrianne Parker.”
“Okay, Andrianne. You’re safe now. Can you tell me more about this man who’s chasing you?”
“He’s my ex-boyfriend. His name is Steve. He’s a bodyguard my father hired for me, but we used to date in college. He just told me he would kill my husband if he tried to take me away from him.”
The police officer nodded. “We’ll take care of it, Andrianne. You’re going to be okay. Let’s get you to the station so you can file a report.”
Andrianne felt a wave of relief wash over her as she got into the back of the police car. She knew she was safe now. She just hoped that Lucas would be okay, and that Steve wouldn’t do anything crazy.
As Steve watched Andrianne being taken away by the police, he felt a sense of defeat wash over him. He knew he had messed up, but he couldn’t help the way he felt about her. He turned around and walked away, his mind racing with thoughts of what he had just done.
Andrianne, on the other hand, felt a sense of relief as she sat in the back of the police car. She knew she had done the right thing by getting help, but she also couldn’t help feeling guilty for what had happened to Steve. She knew that Lucas might charge him with a crime or sue him, and she didn’t want to be the cause of anyone’s suffering.
As the police car drove away, Andrianne couldn’t shake the feeling that things were only going to get more complicated from here. She didn’t know what would happen to her marriage or to Steve, but she knew that things were never going to be the same again. The future was uncertain, and Andrianne was filled with a sense of foreboding.
What would happen next? Only time would tell.
