Chapter 312 Wifey, Wifey, Wifey

Book:The Reborn Wife Published:2024-5-1

When Michael changed into a fresh set of clothes and came out of the restroom, Elena was on the bed as she played with her mobile phone. Her little mouth would occasionally twitch as if she wanted to laugh. Michael had no idea what she was doing that made her smile so happily.
The signal on the island was not very good, and they had to communicate with outsiders via their own exclusive network. How did the girl connect to the Internet?
Could Henry have told her?
Michael walked toward her and realized that Elena was not on the phone with anyone. Instead, she was looking at the photos on her phone.
Photos of Henry and her…
He had mixed feelings about that, but he recalled that it was Henry who took care of her when he left. His interactions with her seemed to be lesser than the opportunities she had had with Henry.
He made his way to her and wanted to hold her gently in his arms.
Elena was shocked by his sudden appearance. She hurriedly hid her phone and looked at him. “You …”
“What’s up? Can’t show me the photos on your phone?”
Michael’s words were meant as a joke, but Elena’s face sank, and she was upset.
He smiled. “What’s wrong? What are you hiding from me?”
“Nothing.” Elena lowered her head and looked uncomfortable.
Michael did not bother with that kind of trivial matter. He helped her up and said, “Let’s go. I’ll accompany you to lunch. By the way, Henry is here too. He mentioned that he had brought you a lot of delicious food.”
Their relationship had been so good that she would surely be happy to see him.
Michael had been busy with the training, so he did not have the time to keep her company. It was a good thing that Henry was there. At least she would not be too lonely.
“He’s here?” Elena had a look of surprise and excitement on her face.
“Looks like you’re already bored.”
Michael smiled. Then he picked her up and left the room with her in his arms.
Elena felt a little weird. She did not know whether to label the man as kindhearted or magnanimous. She sighed softly and whispered as he stepped out of the door, “Let me down, I… don’t want everyone to see me like this.”
“Is there a problem?” Even though Eldest Young Master Williams did not want to let her go, she had the final say because she was his pregnant wife.
A wife’s words were like gospel.
His chest tightened when he addressed her as his wife. He carefully put her down and gently squeezed her slender waist. He looked at the bright blue sky outside and said, “When all of these passes, we’ll go abroad and get married.”
An 18-year-old could only get engaged in Bentson, but in some places abroad, 18-year-olds could already register for marriage.
Marriage!
Elena’s body trembled briefly. She had no idea why she was so moved, but she nearly cried. It was the first time Eldest Young Master Williams had willingly taken the initiative to talk about marriage—be it her past or her new life. Did he just propose to her?
Eldest Young Master Williams was a proud and arrogant person. He would not make any proposals. He would carry her into a hall and marry her there!
A marriage—it did not look like it was something she could reach at that moment, but it was a choice if she wanted it. She looked away and did not reply to him. Her heart was already full of emotion.
Michael merely believed that she was shy. After all, a wedding was an important and momentous occasion.
Even though he deliberately made that statement with calmness and composure, the truth was that he felt a little uneasy in his heart. He was afraid that the girl would refuse him.
Nevertheless, marriage was absolutely necessary even if she were to refuse him. If that were to happen, then he would just carry her into the hall and force her to accept the matrimony. It was not that big of a deal even if she fought or scolded him after the wedding.
As he thought about that, he was excited about the possibility. He wished he could carry her into the ceremony as they proceed with one of the most significant events in his life!
The corner of Michael’s lips curled up in a smile, and a pleasant glow appeared in his eyes.
During their walk, his thin lips moved, and he suddenly uttered two words, “My wife.”
Elena’s heart pounded like it had been struck by something!
Her breathing labored, and her legs weakened. She could barely stand upright.
“Hmm?” The man seemed to have no idea why she reacted that way. He caught her gently and held her in her arms.
He raised his eyebrows and was very satisfied with her reaction. “What’s wrong?”
He even deliberately asked her what was wrong!
It was the first time he had called her his wife!
In her past life’s marriage to Michael, he did not even call her by any nickname, let alone to address her as his wife! He would either call her by her full name, or he would ignore her completely! At that moment, however, he had called her his wife! She had not expected that to happen.
“What’s going on?” Michael’s thin lips brushed against her ear as he whispered, “Hmm? Wifey?”
“Don’t call me that!” Elena found it a bit hard to bear. Her heart continued to pound, and her breathing labored.
Michael chuckled softly, and then he realized something. “Don’t you like it when I call you wifey? But you’ll have to get used to it.
“Wifey!
“Wifey, wifey, wifey!”
She would soon take his surname.
Elena bit her lip and placed her hand firmly on her heart.
It had hurt. It had ached and throbbed!
Why was he so kind to her? Why must he give her so many things that she would be unwilling to part with? She did not know whether it would spell another disaster for him.
The man next to her walked steadily as he led her into the cafeteria. There were many people there. All of them were the same comrades who had done that specialized training on the practice ground that morning.
Elena felt uneasy as soon as she walked into the room. Those people had a hostile air around them that made them so much colder than the ordinary people.
She knew who they were and why they were Eldest Young Master Williams’s docile subordinates. Eldest Young Master Williams had money and the ability to be the leader that they wanted. However, their leader should be high and mighty, not a man who would be so gentle in front of his woman.
Elena pushed Michael away instinctively and saw a man enter through the door as soon as she looked up.
“Henry!” She pushed harder, and finally, she managed to escape from Michael’s arms. She hurried toward Henry.
Michael frowned. That girl did not want her husband when she saw her good friend. He would just have to educate her better. The husband should take priority over everything else—she must never leave her husband for the sake of her friends!
He ought to give her a good lesson that night—perhaps he could chastise her a little. After all, she was pregnant. He had no idea if he would scare the baby with his loud voice.
When he saw Elena hurried toward himself, Henry got upset and met her halfway.
“Walk slowly! Be careful! Don’t be so hasty!”
That girl was nuts. Did she not know that she was still weak? How dare she walk even faster than she ran!
He looked at the two big bags of junk food in his hand and smiled. “Did Big Brother mistreat you again? He must not have prepared any snacks for you!”
Why was she so excited when she saw him? She must have had some insane cravings!
