Beeeeeep… The call was cut off again. Mia did not give up and continued to call her father. However, his phone had already been turned off. Dad, how could you be so cruel?

Mia said in a hoarse voice, “You reminded me to launch an attack on Elena’s friend. Before that, Elena almost died when she fell off that building. Everyone blamed me for that…”
Ava pouted. “Come on, don’t talk such nonsense. I didn’t ask you to do anything. Elena had destroyed you. Now, don’t try to drag me into the muddle.”
“Cousin Sister…”
“Whatever you do now is useless. Your entire life has been completely destroyed. No man in Bentson would want you anymore. Furthermore, with today’s social media, everyone would know about this and treat you like a pile of worthless rag.”

If they had been delayed, those stupid and impulsive boys might have struck Elena.
Caleb put a finger over his lips, a sign that she should not talk about that. Layla covered her lips and nodded. She understood that they should never bring up the matter again.
However, she was still curious about one thing. So, she focused her attention on Luacs. “What happened? How did you find those footages?”
“Levi gave them to me.”
“The bad guy who was always with the Eldest Young Master Williams?”
Layla’s face changed when he mentioned Levi’s name.
“What’s wrong? What did Levi do to you?” Elena looked at her as she wiped her hand.
“It’s nothing.” Layla was uneasy with Elena’s sharp stare, and her face turned red instantly.
Layla shot another question at Luacs in an attempt to change the topic. “So, what happened? You didn’t make it clear yesterday. The people who had wanted to kill Elena the other night, how are they related to Mia?”
