Epi 14
Rachel packed her phone and other necessary things inside her handbag. She glanced over at Celine who was busy touching her face with a little makeup.
She walked to her back and zipped up the zipper of her Coral dress.
Rachel was clad in a knee-length dusty blue gown, her feet were clad in a pair of white sneakers. Her hair was packed in a loose ponytail, leaving a strand of hair to the front.
She doesn’t need to do much before you’ll know she’s a beautiful young lady.
“Are you done?” Rachel asked, glancing at Celine in the full-length mirror.
Rachel wonders why Celine has to go through the stress of applying makeup, she is already beautiful and she doesn’t even need to do makeup.
“Let me apply this lipgloss,” Celine mumbled through her closed mouth as she carefully rubbed the nude lipgloss on her curved lips.
“Do you need my help with anything?” Rachel asked, glancing at Celine’s hair but she shook her head negatively and Rachel mouthed an ‘oh’
She turned around to leave but Celine’s voice stopped her.
“You haven’t texted your friend yet, about me tagging along with you.” Celine reminded her, and Rachael gasped, knowing fully well that it was best to inform Williams ahead before taking her friend to their hang-out.
She quickly brings out her phone from her bag and texts Williams that she’ll be taking a friend along to the place they had planned to hang out.
She left her phone in her bag as they walked out of her house to hail a cab. After standing under the gloomy ray of sun for about 3 minutes, a cab pulled to their front. After telling the driver their destination they got in and he zoomed out of the street.
Rachel stepped out of the cab, together with Celine when they got to the front of the restaurant. She paid the driver and he smiled at them as he collected the money from them, then zoomed out of their presence.
Just when they were about to enter the restaurant, Rachel’s phone made a beep sound and she hastily brought out the phone from her handbag.
She unlocked the phone with her face ID only to see that it was a message from Williams.
He texts her just to inform them to go inside without him, and that he’ll join them soon. He further said that he was hooked inside the traffic.
Rachel told Celine about it and they both walked inside the restaurant. They sat at the far end just to avoid the gaze of people at the restaurant.
Their table was close to the window which made them gaze at the street through the window.
They called a waiter to their table and Celine advised that they should order a bottle of juice.
Claiming that they didn’t know if he was still going to come or not and that they should buy what they can afford to pay if he didn’t show up in the end.
Rachel didn’t have any problem with her ordering a bottle of juice.
After a while of waiting with a bottle of juice at their front, Williams walked inside the restaurant, eye searching and his eyes landed on Rachel, he walked towards where they sat and he stopped in front of them.
“I’m sorry for standing you, I was hooked inside the traffic and…”
Williams furrowed his brow, he got interrupted amidst his sentence when his eyes caught up with a lady he had help from a group of guys, days ago.
“Ain’t you…”
“Oh! Williams, meet my friend, Celine.” Rachel introduced, pointing at Celine.
“Celine, this is Williams, he’s a good friend of mine.” She introduced the two to each other and Williams shook his head in surprise.
“This is a small world. I never expect to meet you again.” Williams smiled, sitting on the seat.
Celine nodded in agreement with him.
“Indeed! Thanks for the other day.” She said amidst a blush, she hid her face from them and Rachel arched her brows in surprise.
Celine raised her head after Rachel tapped her lightly on the arm.
She gave her a ‘is he the guy’ look and Celine nodded shyly.
“Wow!” Rachel grinned. Looking from Celine to Williams.
“Alright, let’s order something,” Williams announced, calling a waiter to their table.
After the trio had fun to the fullest, Williams walked them to get a cab and after exchanging hugs and greetings, the cab zoomed off.
Getting home, Celine couldn’t stop grinning and Rachel knows why.
Rachel walked out of the bathroom minutes later to meet Celine sulking on the bed.
“Are you okay?” Rachel asked, a worried frown plastered on her face.
“I can’t find the card and I never save his contact on my phone,” Celine said, moving all the content in her bag onto the bed.
“Oh!” Rachel mumbled, plunging herself into the bed.
A thought flashed through Celine’s mind and she gasped.
“Rachel, can I have Williams’s number, please?” She pleaded and tilted her head backwards.
“Have you lost it? What do you think you’re doing?” Rachel asked, looking at Celine weirdly like she has grown horns.
“C’mon, I truly like him and I think he’s the one for me.” She smiled, bugging Rachel to grant her wish.
“Okay!” Rachel smirked.
“If you call him now what are you going to say to him?” Rachel wonders why her friend is acting out of character.
“It’s simple.” Celine smiled shyly.
“I’ll call him and make sure he saves my contact.” She raised her shoulders high.
“Oh, girl!” Rachel laughed heartily.
“You think that will work?” She asked and Celine nodded in response.
“It’ll work. Trust me.” Celine insisted and Rachel brought out her phone from her bag.
“I’ll dare you.” She grinned, sharing William’s contact with her.
She watched Celine’s face light up in excitement once she got her ‘dream man’ contact with her dear friend.
“Watch as I make him mine.” she winked as she put a call across to him.
Rachel couldn’t help but laugh at her sudden character.
