Epi 13
Rachel smirked at her friends after seeing her cheeks turn crimson red just by narrating her saviour’s appearance.
‘Okay, I think she’s truly in love.’
She chuckled and couldn’t stop staring at the dreaming lady in front of her front.
“I would get you to meet him one of these days,” Celine said, fanning her face with the back of her hands. Even though the Air Conditioning in Rachel’s room is working perfectly, Celine felt hot which made her yearn for more air.
‘She’s crazy!” Rachel thought she couldn’t take her eyes off Celine who was daydreaming.
But can she blame her?
The lady is simply enjoying her life, dreaming about the guy of her dreams which she can’t relate to. Her life has already been planned. She can no longer dream of dating the guy of her dreams since she’ll be marrying some strangers that she knew nothing about.
“Did you hear me?” Celine snapped her fingers twice at Rachel’s face, jotting her out of her thoughts.
“Yes, yes, no problem. I would also like to meet this sweet guy that makes your heart glimmer.” Rachel winked twice at Celine which made her cheeks flustered even more.
“If you don’t quit blushing, you’ll end up going home with hurt cheeks.” Rachel joked and they both laughed at her taunt.
“But, aside from his name and appearance, are there any other things about him you know that could lead you to him?” Rachel couldn’t help but ask since Celine never mentioned anything apart from his name and how handsome he was. Yet, she had already promised to let her know him.
“Are you being serious?” Celine glared hard at Rachel. Not believing that her friend zoomed out when she was telling her something so important.
“I’m sorry.” Rachel palms her face in embarrassment.
“You’re unbelievable.” Celine groaned, faking a sad face but Rachel knew her friend so well that she knew she was faking the sad face.
“I’m sorry. You know I’m going through life challenges, so it’s natural for me to zoom out.” Rachel bailed herself out with her words.
Celine nodded in total understanding and Rachel raised her thumbs in the air.
“So, tell me, what else did you know about him?” Rachel asked, she couldn’t hide how curious she was.
“Well, I picked up his business card while he was busy operating my faulty car. The card contains his address and contact. You know, I’ve shown it to you before so I won’t show you again.” Celine said in a sing-song and Rachel laughed wholeheartedly at her friend.
Rachael smiles widely, Celine raised her brows, asking her what was funny.
“I’m smiling because you’re happy.” she simply said and Celine threw herself at her in excitement.

Leo drove inside a grand mansion and pulled to a halt at the garage, where various types of cars were gently parked.
He stepped out of the car and walked towards the front door, he rang the doorbell and the door opened instantly for him to enter.
It was the mansion his father used to live in, it was more like their family house which made him wonder why his mother would have asked him to meet her there.
He got to the living room and met his mother seated on one of the pure gold furniture in the spacious living room.
He was on his way back from the office when he got a call from his mother that he should meet her in their family house in the evening because it is very urgent.
He wondered what she could probably have to tell him that made her want him to drive all the way there before she could say it.
Since he loves his mother dearly and never said ‘No’ to her before, he decided to do as he was told without asking her any questions.
He moved closer to his mother and plunged into one of the neatly arranged single sofas that is nearest to his mother.
After exchanging greetings with his mother, he asked his mother what the urgent matter was and how he could help deal with it.
“Hmm, so it’s about your betrothed that I told you about.” Rebecca started, gazing at her son’s face and she saw how his facial expressions grew darkened at the mention of his betrothed.
“Mom, c’mon we’re in the modernised century, no one does shit like this no more.” He groans, slapping his forehead in annoyance.
“You should cancel whatever shitty promise he had with the girl’s family. Please, allow me to marry the one that my heart wanted.” he further said, crossing his right leg over his left leg on his seat.
“Did you know how much I love your father?” Rebecca asked her son at the edge of tears, which Leo never noticed.
“Of course, isn’t it obvious?” Leo chuckled, grinning heartily as he recalled his memories with his father.
“And you know how much he fights for this family before we’re this prosperous today?” Rebecca asked again, this time a ball of tears had already dropped from her eyes, and she sniffed in the remaining tears which caught Leo’s attention.
“Mom don’t tell me you’re in tears because of this my darn betrothed?” Leo creased his brows and his mother nodded her head.
“It’s your father’s last wish, why don’t you want to understand?” She whimpered which softened Leo’s heart a little bit.
One thing about him, he loves his mother so that he could kill her if anyone tries to make his mother cry.
“Promise you’ll consider her,” Rebecca said, cleaning her tears and Leo only waved his hands in the air. Telling her to do whatever she wants.
“I promise you’ll love her if you get to meet her.” Rebecca beamed, recalling how sweet the girl was when she was a kid.
“She has a set of hazel brown eyes that glows under the gloomy ray of light. Her dark hair is crafted gorgeous which fits her oval face. Her slim figure will make you look her way twice. She is a bright, cheerful woman…”
“Mom!” Leo exclaimed, smiling brightly at his mother at how perfectly she had described his betrothed at a go.
“C’mon boy, you have to wait until I get her picture for you, you’ll know what I’m saying.” she winked at her son, and he hid his smile away from his mom, not wanting her to know he was already liking his betrothed with the way she had just described her.
