The warm April passed in the blink of an eye, and the hot summer arrived on schedule. Bella felt this summer felt hotter than any previous summer because her heart was hot.
After her aunt underwent an operation in mid-May, her condition improved more markedly, and at the end of May, the doctor informed her that she could go home to recuperate, and the family left the hospital where she had lived for more than three months with joy.
That evening, Quintin order a meal at a five-star hotel in the city to celebrate her aunt’s discharge.
After returning home from dinner, Mika held her niece’s hand and said gratefully, “Bella, thanks to you for taking care of me this time. Without you, I would have been separated from your uncle forever.”
Armand smiled and interjected, “Bella has a credit, but don’t forget that another man has contributed even more.”
Mika knew full well, “You should go back to B City tomorrow. I’m really sorry to have delayed you and Kevin’s three-month reunion for nothing.”
“It doesn’t matter. Eternal love between us shall withstand the time apart. It’s not too late for me to go back after your condition has completely improved.”
“I’m already much better. You quickly go back, otherwise, I really feel sorry for you.”
Bella thought, “Then I’ll hire a carer to take care of you in daily life. You and uncle’s living expenses will be borne by me.”
“We are happy that you set your mind on us.”
The next morning, Bella packed her luggage and prepared to return to B City. On her way out, her aunt said in all earnestness, “Go back and thank Kevin for me.”
“Alright.”
She nodded and looked askance at her uncle, “Then I’m leaving. Call me if anything happens to auntie.”
“Okay, I got it.”
The couple sent her out the door and watched her get into the cab and disappear.
Bella did not tell Kevin she was going back. In the afternoon, the plane landed in B city. She made a phone call to her sister-in-law, and Lena drove to the airport to pick up her home.
They met happily. Bella greeted warmly with Blanche and sister-in-law after a while, and mysteriously said, “Please don’t tell Kevin I’m back, OK?”.
Lena winked at her, “No problem. You just want to give my brother a surprise, don’t you?”.
In the evening, Blanche gave her son a call, asking him to come home for dinner no matter how busy he was.
Kevin didn’t finish work and return home until seven o’clock. Bella hid in the dark, saw him get down from the car, and immediately dialed his number.
“Hello, Bella?”
He was tired after a long day, but his tone was still gentle when he answered the phone.
“Are you off work yet?”
“Well, I just got home.”
“Do you miss me?”
Kevin replied firmly, “Yes.”
“Do you really miss me?”
“I really miss you.”
She laughed on the phone, “So can I show up now?”
Kevin sighed heavily, “Forget it, it’s better not to joke.”
As soon as he finished, Bella suddenly strode forward and grabbed his waist from behind, “Am I joking?”
Kevin froze and his phone was still attached to his ear. He turned back incredulously and saw that the woman behind him was really the one he had been missing, and immediately carried her in his arms with excitement, “Bella, is it really you? Why are you back? Am I dreaming?”
He asked three questions in a row.
Bella held around his neck and giggled, “Of course I’m not dreaming.” She took the initiative to kiss him on the lips, and they hugged each other tightly, sucking each other hard, and the sweet and lingering kiss lasted for a long time, until Lena suddenly appeared, “Hey, hey, hey, we are waiting for you with empty stomachs. Can you let us fill our bellies first before making out?”

Kevin stopped her, “Let’s talk about it tomorrow. Bella is tired after flying for a few hours.”
Lena understood her brother’s thoughts, so she deliberately said, “Sister-in-law, I saw a dress I liked this afternoon that was particularly beautiful, so why don’t you go with me to buy it?”
“Why do you go to buy it in the middle of the night? It’s not like we won’t have time during the day tomorrow.”
Kevin was unhappy. They were not observant. They should be aware that they just reunited and needed to be alone to tell each other their feelings.
Before Bella responded, she was eagerly pulled by Kevin upstairs.
As soon as he entered the room, he locked the door, and pushed her down on the sofa, kissed and nibbled. While responding to him warmly, Bella was teasing him, “Don’t you separate from me?”.
“No. We even will be buried in the same coffin.”
After making out, Bella soaked all over like running a marathon, and was exhausted, softly lay back in the bathtub, and didn’t want to move.
“Baby, didn’t you say you would surprise me next time we meet? What is it?”
Bella looked up weakly and replied in a buzzing voice, “Now isn’t that just a surprise?”
“…”
So, her sudden return was what she called a surprise.
However, it was quite a surprise…
Late at night, while curled up in Kevin’s arms and sleeping soundly, a cell phone ringing woke her up, and he languidly answered, “Hello?”
Bella felt his body stiffen a bit, “Okay, I’m coming over now.”
He hung up the phone, took out a black shirt from the closet and put it on, and when he put on his watch, he saw Bella sitting up, and he asked gently, “Why did you wake up?”
“Is something wrong? You’re out at this hour.”
“Nothing’s wrong. You go back to sleep.”
Kevin kissed her forehead, picked up his suit, and prepared to go out.
“Kevin.”

Kevin smiled at her with a spoiled look, “Well, I understand.”
He didn’t come back until dawn. In the morning, Bella gave him a call. He said he was already in the company. Listening to his calm tone, she was relieved.
Mother-in-law’s birthday was coming soon, and Bella wanted to make it grand. When she was discussing with Lena, Blanche came down from upstairs.
“Just call a few friends and relatives to the house for a meal. It doesn’t need to be too extravagant.”
Blanche had heard their conversation and directly stated her thoughts.
“Mom, it’s your 60th birthday. How can you be casual?”
“If it wasn’t for the fear that you might feel a pity about it, I wouldn’t even suggest calling over my friends and family, and I’m too old to enjoy the fun.”
Lena shrugged, and Bella sighed, “That’s okay.”

Kevin also took his glass of wine and toasted to his mother, “Mom, happy birthday.”
“Thank you.”
Bella sighed in his heart. He was really a man who was not good at expressing his feelings. Obviously he wanted to say a lot of blessings to his mother, but it was only a concise happy birthday.
Lena was the last one to stand up. In the past two years, she had been slim and graceful, like a Lily out of the water, with a clear and lively temperament.
A noblewoman stared at her for a while and suddenly said, “Blanche, is Lena married?
People at the table were stunned, and Blanche shook her head, “Not yet, what’s wrong?”
“And she has no boyfriend either, right?”
“Yes.”

Staring at her disappearing outside the living room, Alvin’s face leisurely turned black.
At the end of the dinner, Alvin left in a hurry. He was very familiar with the layout of the Cloud Mansion and knew exactly where Lena would be. He easily went to the back garden, and indeed saw a small silhouette in that patch of flowers.

Alvin was angry and picked her up, “It would be a pain for you who don’t love each other to live together.”
Lena retorted, “So that’s why you refused to accept me in the first place.”
