Chapter 216 Unexpected Surprise(2)

Alvin was speechless for a moment.
After a while, he spoke hoarsely, but his tone was much calmer, “Lamont, the youngest son of the Raye family, is a very notorious playboy. You know that dating with such a person is tantamount to ruining your own life with your own hands.”
“I don’t need you to worry about my business. Even if I want to ruin it, what I ruined is my own life. It has nothing to do with anyone.”
Lena stubbornly walked away, and for the first time, Alvin was frustrated.
After sending the guests away, Bella wearily went upstairs to take a shower, and when she came out of the shower, she saw Kevin sitting on the sofa and pulling a long face. She took a towel to wipe her hair as she sat over and asked, “What’s wrong?”
“Why do you think Lena agreed to the blind date? Lamont is a loser. Almost every time I see him, he is with a different woman. To live with such a man is to torment herself!”
“That crazy woman went too far. She thought our Lena was easy to bully. How dare she introduced such a bastard to my sister, completely disregarding our Jones-Sharp family!”
Kevin became more and more agitated, “No, I have to go and stop Lena. I have to make her get rid of this idea.”
“Hey, you come back.”
Bella grabbed his arm, and reprimanded him in a bad mood, “You are silly. You don’t understand her mind. You did not see Alvin’s face fall just now. Maybe we can let them be together through this matter.”
Kevin was stunned, “Do you mean Lena agreed to this just for the sake of being angry with Alvin?”
“Or do you think Lena would be stupid enough to give her life to a scumbag?!”
On the day of the blind date, Lena did not deliberately dress up, wearing the most usual clothes to the appointed place.
The first time she met with Lamont, after chatting a few words, she felt that the dude sitting opposite her was indeed as bad as the rumors, arrogant, narcissistic, and most importantly, very lecherous.
“Miss Jones-Sharp, can I call you Lena?”
“Yes.”
“Your name is really as beautiful as you, and when I say your name, I think of kisses.”
Lena felt sick.
“Have you ever had a boyfriend before?”
“No.”
“So you’re still a virgin, then?”
The dude opposite her had a flash of surprise in his eyes.
Lena was about to vomit. She tried her best to keep calm, “This is a private question. Please excuse me that I can’t answer you.”
“Oh, what age is it? You’re still so conservative. Now it’s normal for men and women to talk about sensitive topics together. I tell you if you are a virgin, I’m very willing to marry you. It’s not that I have a virginity complex, but I like clean women.”
“Are you a clean man?”
Lena sarcastically retorted and finally became too much for her to sit here any longer, and she got up to take her to leave, “I still have things to do, goodbye. Mr. Raye.”
“Don’t go, I haven’t answered you yet.”
Lamont stood up to stop her, one hand around her waist, and held her wrist with the other, ambiguously teasing, “You can’t tell if I’m a clean man or not after you try.”
“Let go of me!”
Lena struggled with disgust.
“Little beauty, don’t be shy. We are all adults, sooner or later we will have to face it. Let me be your first man.”
“Let her go.”
A furious roar came from behind them. Lena heard the voice and was relieved. She did not have time to turn back, Alvin took a big step forward, and pushed Lamont back a few steps.
“Who are you?”
Lamont blushed furiously, was swollen with arrogance, and questioned him.
“I’m her boyfriend.”
Alvin replied with certainty.
“Boyfriend? Well, you think I’d believe that? You have a boyfriend and you’re out on a blind date with me? Are you fooling me?”
Lamont suddenly looked up and down at Alvin with contempt, “You’re not that Jones-Sharp family’s lackey, Al-, are you? Oh yes, you’re still an orphan.”
Lena’s heart ached. She looked askance at Alvin, and the pain that flashed in his eyes deeply cut her deeply. She was suddenly furious, took half a cup of coffee on the end of the table and splashed it into Lamont’s face, cutting her teeth and scolding, “You are the lackey!”
She absolutely could not tolerate anyone belittling Alvin, even if Alvin was not her man.
Lamont didn’t think a little girl would dare to insult him like this, and raised her hand to slap her, but she was knocked to the ground by Alvin’s fierce punch.
Out of the cafe, Lena’s face was a little pale. She knowingly asked, “Why are you here?”
Alvin replied angrily, “If I don’t come, are you willing to be trampled by that brute?”
“That’s my business. If you don’t like me, leave me alone.”
She turned around and walked away, thinking about it, and then came back to add, “I won’t mind you said you were my boyfriend. It’s not true anyway.”
Alvin stopped her and yelled angrily, “You did that on purpose, didn’t you? You deliberately embarrassed me so that you agreed to the blind date.”
Lena took a deep breath and retorted, “Why would I want to embarrass you? You’re not my man, and I just want to marry.”
“Do you want to marry that badly? Will you marry Tom, Dick, and Harry, as long as they want to, right? How can you punish yourself like this?!”
Lena’s lips moved a few times, and she turned over and cried. Alvin gazed at her shaking shoulder and knew that his words were a little harsh. He then said in a light tone, “OK, don’t cry. I’ll take you to hang out.”
He comforted her to stop crying for a while, and they drove around all afternoon and had dinner together in the evening. Lena suggested, “I want to go to the bar. Do you want to go?”
He nodded, “Go ahead, I’m just about to have a drink too.”
They went into a bar, lying on the red light and green bar counter, and Alvin asked casually, “Where have you been the last two years?”
“It’s far away.”
“Can you be more specific?”
“Sahara Desert, Gama Gulch Valley, Aconcagua Mountains, Caribbean Sea …”
Hearing her count out on her fingers where she’d been, Alvin looked horrified, and she giggled, “I’m lying.”
“Did you have a good time?”
“It’s okay.”
“Have you ever been bullied?”
“Often.”
“And how do you cope with that?”
“Sometimes I screamed for help, and sometimes I ran away, and sometimes I was trampled.”
Alvin frowned, “You have never been bullied like today, have you?”
“Of course I have. I’m so beautiful.”
He took a deep breath, “How could you be so headstrong and just leave?”
“Hey, it’s all in the past anyway. Everyone will be bullied in the world.”
“Can anyone go anywhere as they want?”
“What then? It is over.”
She shrugged and Alvin was so angry that he was speechless.
They chatted for a long time, and he picked up his jacket, “Let’s go back, it’s getting late.”
When they left the bar, there was a cool breeze that caressed their faces, and Lena closed her eyes and said, “I seem to be a little bit better drunk. How about you?”
“I’m a little soberer than you.”
They went to a car parked by the side of the road, but at that moment, suddenly four or five men appeared from nowhere, each holding a wooden stick in his hand.
Lena was sober from the fright, shaking, and hid behind Alvin.
“What are you guys doing?”
Alvin questioned very calmly, his body like a huge tree firmly blocking in front of Lena.
“How dare you ride roughshod over our young master and flaunt your power? What do you think we are doing?”
It was Lamont’s men. Alvin snorted and said to Lena with a sidelong glance, “You go to one side and stay there. I’ll deal with it.”
A few men swarmed forward and lifted up sticks to smash them, but Alvin accompanied Kevin to practice taekwondo for several years. Dealing with a few hooligans was easy for him. They were beaten to the ground by Alvin easily. He clapped his hands and said, “Go back and tell Lamont he should be ashamed for himself!”
One of the men struggled to get up from the ground, and quickly shifted his target. Only to hear Lena scream, Alvin rushed over and raised his leg to kick away the lackey who almost hurt Lena, but he was impartially hit by another man and grunted in pain. When he was about to turn back to fight, he saw a dozen more thugs running towards them, so he grabbed Lena’s hand, “Run-”
Lena had always been good at sports, and running was her strong point. She was not like the other delicate ladies who ran for a while and then yelled and stopped running. She followed Alvin closely. They turned seven turns and turned into a quiet and dark alley.
“Don’t talk.”
Alvin made a silent motion to her, only to see a dozen or so people pass by like the wind, and when the sound of footsteps faded away, Lena whispered, “Are you okay?”
The alley was quiet, and all that could be heard were their tired wheezing.
Alvin shook his head, “I’m fine.”
“Did it hurt when that stick hit you in the back just now?”
“It doesn’t hurt.”
Alvin was afraid that she would blame herself so he shook his head and said it didn’t hurt, but in fact, his back ached.
“They should be far away. Let’s go out.”
Alvin stood up with support, and was about to leave the alley, but suddenly heard footsteps again, so he quickly pulled Lena to squat down beside him. After a few minutes, the footsteps faded away again.
Lena looked up, and through the weak moonlight, she saw the thin beads of sweat on his forehead and that he frowned, and asked, “How are you doing?”
“Nothing.”
“Let me see.”
She took her phone out of her pocket to check Alvin’s back.
“I said it’s fine. You don’t need to look.”
Alvin stopped her, feeling pain in his back, which had swollen.
“If it’s fine, what’s wrong with letting me take a look at it?”
Lena was stubborn, and she wouldn’t let him go if she didn’t see it.
Alvin didn’t want her to see it while Lena insisted on having a look. When they were at odds with each other, Alvin suddenly reached out and hugged her, leaned down and kissed her lips out of control.
