Although Miller White had agreed to let go of Amanda to do what she wanted, two bodyguards were still assigned to protect her.
As soon as Amanda showed up on the day of the press conference, all sorts of cameras were aimed at her.
Unfortunately, they didn’t even find the slightest sign of fear on Amanda’s face.
“Is the threshold for celebrity so low now? This kind of person with low moral character is also called the movie queen?”
Amanda paused on her feet, shot him a smirking look, and continued to make her way to her seat.
“Thank you so much for being here, journalists, there was a malicious slur against me yesterday and I think I need to clarify it.”
Bette received a look from her and inserted the flash drive in her hand into the computer.
Soon, the screen connected to the computer showed several bills for the money transfer records.
The bill showed that Amanda has remitted money to it for two years, and the name of the account was Alice!
Now the reporters were all blowing up and mingling with the people around them.
“Ladies and gentlemen, Alice’s mother had a serious illness two years ago. At that time, she was my assistant, and I gave her an advance out of humanity.”
“I’ve been helping her mother, and if I’m bullying her, why would I do that?”
Amanda rosed to her feet and methodically laid out her evidence.
“Alice’s accusations have damaged Amanda’s reputation and we will hold responsible according to law.”
The reporters, who were so eager to see Amanda make a fool of herself, had to leave.
“Bette, I can’t even fathom how she could do such a brainless thing.” Amanda rubbed her aching brow.
“What can’t Jane do to deal with you?”
They sat in the car with the air conditioning on full blast, but Amanda still felt irritated for some reason.
Bette saw that she wasn’t in the right mood and suggested, “How about skipping the set this afternoon?”
“It’s just one scene this afternoon, It’s OK.”
“But Jane will slap you in the scene this afternoon, so you have to be careful. If she takes this opportunity to ng several times, no one can say anything.”
“Bette, don’t you remember? I’m the king of NG prevention.”
Amanda has been called a movie queen since she was very young, mainly because she had a skill that allowed her to get into character quickly not to mention leading others into the scene.
As for Bette’s comment about Jane wanting to use the script to give her a good beating, with her unorthodox skill, there was no such thing!
While they were conferring in the car, Alice was also crying in front of Jane.
“You said that I could do it without fail, but now the reporters have gone to my home.”
Jane was now distraught, and who knew that Amanda had kept the evidence of the money transfer, hit her by surprise.
Upset by Alice’s tears at this point, and afraid that she might say that she had ordered her to do so, she had to be nice and reassured.
After sending Alice away, she took an old cell phone out of her bedroom and dialed a number out.
“Hey, kill a woman for me.”
Not knowing what was being said, Jane was full of impatience, “No, I can’t do it, I’m pregnant now.”
After a few conversations, Jane seemed to compromise and asked for the address before heading out.
Before leaving, she dialed her agent’s phone number, “Herman, I’m a little sick today. Take a leave of absence from the crew.”
