Sabrina’s end 2
The day went by quickly, and no one realized how much time had been spent, night had now taken over, and the bright moon glistened in the sky amidst the stars.
It does not matter that Sabrina has been captured now. It does not matter that she’s now kneeling in front of the guards, her hands and legs cuffed in silver chains, it does not matter at all, because she knows that no matter what these people do to her, no one, and absolutely NO ONE will ever be able to bring back Lucas De’ Clan!
“Ha! You fools! Even if you kill me now, his soul stills remains in my captivity! I will take your mate’s soul along with me and gift it to my sisters when I unite with them in the afterlife!”
Everyone there ignored her, as all their attention was placed on the alpha, who lay in the on the floor of his bedroom, in the arms of his crying mate, all heads were bent in sadness, including that of the guards, Kiara ran to Cian, burying her head into his chest, weeping profusely.
It’s over! It’s all over. The mighty alpha Lucas De’ Clan is dead, and they all mourned him in their hearts.
Sabrina realized it then, all that Lehi was talking about, of course! Lehi had mentioned that there would be consequences for her actions, indeed, now there was no escape for her. These people would surely kill her, but it does not matter if this is the end for her, what matters is that she remains victorious, in life or death, besides, she has nothing else to live for now, she’s gotten what she’s waited 800 years for, she does not regret anything she did, and she would bear the consequences gladly.
“It does not matter if you kill me now Ava! No matter what you do to me, your mate will never come back to you! You, nor your child will ever see him again!”
Ava paid her no attention, still clutching her mates head tight to her breasts with her eyes closed, caressing him as her tears made small spalts on his face. Sabrina grinned, with words radiating joy and laughter still bursting from her mouth.
“It’s all over for your mate, Ava, he’s gone! I’ve won, and there’s nothing you can do about it!”
Sabrina’s words pained Ava so much, but she chose not to give her an answer. She wouldn’t let anything, no matter how aggravating it was, she wouldn’t let it ruin the final moments she has now with the only man she’d ever loved in her life.
After giving Kiron treatment, Nani ran to the alpha’s chambers from the healers’ quarters, her legs carried her there quickly as she’d somehow sensed something was wrong. Upon seeing Lucas there with Ava, she didn’t need to be told what had happened, she just bent her head, joining them in sadness. How she tried, how much she tried… but still… it was never enough.
Sniffs, “dear goddess… you never told me it would hurt this much… you never told me it would be this would be the greatest pain I’d ever experience… you never told me…”
Her words were suddenly hushed by the sound coming from beside her chest, “Ava…”
Everyone raised their heads up then upon hearing the familiar voice, what??? How???
No one could give an answer to what had just happened. Everyone gaped in bewilderment, including Sabrina. He… was not supposed to be alive! How is this possible! How can a man live, or even speak without a soul???
Indeed, Sabrina’s curse turned out to be a blessing as well, because her curse might have taken everything away from him, but it gave him so much more, it gave him the strength to lead, the strength to hold on, the strength of an alpha, strength like none other. Whenever Sabrina tortured him in plans to take his life, he held on, because he knows that he cannot leave this world without his heart being reunited with his mate, that’s one of the laws of the mate bond, after all.
“Lucas?? Oh, look at you… look at what I let her do to you. I should have fought… I should have never let her come between us, and now look at you…”
The two mates shared their final moments, as life gradually slipped from him, now that the two mates are at peace with one another, now that their hearts have united, Lucas can finally leave this earth.
Sabrina’s heart calmed as Lucas De’ Clan closed his eyes again.
“I love you, Ava. I love you, Layla,” Ava heard man and wolf whisper. As tears still flowed down her eyes, she then bent to give him a final goodbye kiss on the lips.
“I love you Lucas, I love you Erasmus,” she and her wolf whispered back.
This was her final goodbye kiss to him. She cannot begin to imagine how life would be for her from now on, her thoughts do not even want to begin to travel down that lane at all, so she cleared her mind, away from her surroundings, away from everyone there, traveling to a world visible to only her and her mate, as her lips were still in contact with his.
Right then and there as they kissed, something unexpected happened.
.
.
.
Everyone turned to the direction where they heard the quaking sounds, and there they saw Sabrina’s box that had trapped the imprisoned soul, vibrating there on the ground.
What is happening again? Sabrina wondered… It had better not be what she is thinking…
Yes, it was… the chest broke and the soul released from its confines, making its way back to the owner’s body, Lucas body shook, welcoming its essence once more.
Sabrina couldn’t control herself then, “WHAT??? HOW IS THIS POSSIBLE??? THIS CANNOT BE!!!” This was her ultimate weapon, no!!! Something must have gone wrong; this plan had never failed her! And the soul, how did it escape from the box?? How??
Her attention then caught the moon shining bright through the window, it was a full moon; of course, she should have known it was that bitch. Right there, she closed her eyes, harnessing the power of telepathy was one of the greatest gifts she possessed, and she was going to use it now. Gods were not supposed to interfere with matters regarding the humans, especially in the cases of death, she needs to know why the moon goddess did what she did.
