Sabrina’s end 1
Kiron tried to answer, breathing heavily, “Ava… Ava…”
“Nani, we can’t remain here for Sabrina to come and catch us! I don’t think Kiron will be able to say anything…”
“Ava…, she’s….”
“She’s what? She’s what???” Nani ignored Kiara, still asking Kiron desperately.
“In… the dungeon, locked…”
A sigh of relief for Nani, “Ava is in the dungeon… oh, Ava is still alive!!! The goddess be praised…!”
Kiron wasn’t done, “Sabrina… she’s…. scared of…. the knife…” he finally spoke before giving up his breath, thankfully, they’d already gotten the answers they needed from him.
“We have to take him to the healer’s quarters now Nani! He’s losing so much blood!!!”
Now that Ava was safe, one half of Nani’s heart could rest, the other half still panicked for what Sabrina would do to Lucas if they didn’t stop her on time.
“I’ll take him there, there are guards at the end of the hall that will help me carry him once I reach there. You have to take Cian to the dungeons with you to release Ava… she shouldn’t be held captive there now that Sabrina’s true motive has been exposed, especially with her condition!!!”
“Ok,” Kiara got up to quickly head to do what Nani had said.
“Wait Kiara….” Nani called her before she was about making her way out, taking the dagger from Kiron’s hand and handing it to her. “Give this to Ava… now thanks to Kiron, we are sure that the silver works…! Let Cian gather as many guards with all the heavy silver weapons he can find in the vault. We’re going to be having small war right there in the alpha’s chambers….”
“On it, Nani!” She hurried off, leaving Nani alone with an unconscious Kiron. It took a lot of strength for Nani to be able to lift and carry this heavy wolf to the end of the hall, but she was assisted by the guards on that post as soon as they saw her approaching. Thank goodness they took him from her on time, for she thought she would collapse the next moment if she didn’t find where to drop him.
**********
The spell is finally complete, it was delayed yes, by disturbance from Ava and that stupid guard but thankfully, none of their powers matched hers, now only a few seconds stood in the way of Sabrina’s victory.
She grinned as she held the doll, dipping it slowly into the scorching concussion, watching the man sitting in front of her. It gave her so much pleasure seeing as poor Lucas grabbed onto his neck, grasping for air as soon as she’d drowned the dummy. She was choking him!!! And oh, how she wished this spell would work faster! She dipped the doll further, continuing her cants.
“Now the time has come; the time I’ve waited so long for, you don’t know how much it gladdens me to see you suffer Rabbi, but you will now.”
Lucas struggled and struggled to keep the air from escaping his lungs, but sadly, the spell overpowered him this time, he gave up his last breath, dropping to the ground, finally captured by the claws of death.
“Now for the final feat,” after dropping the pot, Sabrina brought out a little chest from her pocket, a magical box that had the power to contain and imprison souls, called a soul keeper, only a few seconds remained for his soul to escape to the afterlife and she knew she mustn’t let it happen again; quickly opening the chest, she channeled all her energy to plunge the soul out of the body, and then and there, the power from the box drew Lucas De’ Clan’s soul into its confines, there to be imprisoned in Sabrina’s keep forever.
**********
Ava felt a sharp pain in her tummy then, she knew that something bad has happened, but she doesn’t want to think the worst now. As fast as she could, she ran along with Kiara to her mate’s bedroom after being released. Cian followed behind them too, with as many guards as were available, all carrying different assortments of silver weapons.
Her fears were confirmed as she reached the bedroom, her mate lying on the ground, all form of life drained from his body, the spell pot still contained the voodoo doll, now burnt beyond recognition, Sabrina stood there beside the corpse, holding a strange box, the most dreadful sight for Ava was seeing the body of her mate lying there. Kiara saw it too, and at that moment her heart felt nothing but pity and sadness for Ava.
“NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Ava yelled uncontrollably in tears, running towards him, she knelt on the ground, wrapping her arms round his head to lay it against her chest, “no… you cannot…” sniffs, “you cannot… leave me alone like this Lucas…. You cannot leave our child!!!! Wake up!!! Wake up!!!”
“Do not waste your time!” Sabrina grinned. “Your mate won’t be waking up, EVER!”
“You witch!!!! YOU WITCH!!!! YOU KILLED HIM!!! Ruining his life was never enough for you! You just had to return to kill him!!!”
“Yes, it wasn’t and yes I did!” Sabrina admitted boldly.
Upon reaching the scene with the guards and seeing what had happened, Cian quickly gave the loud order, pointing towards Sabrina, “ARREST HER!”
Of course, that won’t be happening! No way would she bow as a prisoner to anyone! Especially after just attaining her victory, she released her wings, ready to fly away, she’d already calculated how one of the large bedroom’s windows would grant her just enough passage for her exit, it was time to leave now and return to her Nabin.
“Don’t let her escape!” Cian ordered as soon as they all saw Sabrina’s attempt. Ava couldn’t care less, still clutching Lucas tightly in her arms.
Sabrina threw a mighty blow at the guards, sending them in different directions, thankfully, they’d dodged, as if knowing what to expect from her. After the hit, Sabrina had launched, and was already flying in the air, almost reaching the window until… until, she suddenly felt a sharp item hit her, the object sent pain coursing through her entire body and making her lose the strength to fly. She dropped to the ground then, screaming loudly, dropping the box as she fell too.
Cian had just gotten up from the ground and seeing Sabrina in that state, he wondered who had propelled the silver arrow that shot Sabrina. He saw her then, his beautiful Kiara, who had picked up a bow and arrow one of the guards had unknowingly thrown to the ground near her while escaping Sabrina’s blow. If it wasn’t for the situation at hand, he would have grabbed her at that moment to express his undying love for her.
Sabrina wreathed there in pain, she couldn’t touch the arrow, nor remove it from her back, she just lay there on the ground, sterile and helpless. Cian then gave another order for her to be arrested, and this time, there was no escape for her.
