“Get out of my way Sabrina! I won’t warn you again!”
“You’ve already seen what I can do Kiron! Do not make me unleash my wrath….”
“Sire?”
Their argument was interrupted by Kain and the other guard who had just returned to resume their positions in front of the alpha’s chambers, only to find that the main door to the room had been broken badly.
As soon as they entered, Kiron didn’t waste time in giving them the order.
“Arrest her!”
Sabrina had been provoked; she didn’t know when she let out her powers, knocking down the two guards coming towards her from a distance, they hit the back of their heads against the wall behind, the strike knocking them both unconscious.
It surprised Kiron, but he wasn’t new to seeing such mystical powers at work, Sabrina’s heavy blow against the alpha’s guards provided him just the right amount of distraction he needed to sneak past her and quickly run into the inner chambers, and then, he saw the wrinkled up alpha Lucas De’ Clan for himself sitting there.
“Oh! Dear goddess!!!” So… it was true! So, it was all true! Ava wasn’t lying! Thank the goddess for his instincts…
The sight of Lucas in that poor state distracted Kiron, and he didn’t know when Sabrina sent a blow in his direction. Unfortunately, he wasn’t able to see it on time. It hit him right in the chest, throwing him off course and sending him backwards. He too, hit the back of his head against the wall, and as he dropped to the floor for a moment, it felt as if he’d seen the goddess’s face for a few seconds, he tried clearing his eyes by blinking severally, before he could make out a green flame coming from Sabrina’s hand, she was chanting some strange words. He tried, tried so hard to get up, but he could literally feel drips of his own blood splatting down his neck, he then finally closed his eyes to shut out the wreathing pain….

.
No… no… he… he… cannot… he will not let this happen. His head hurts so much, his back feels as if it’s been broken into a million pieces, but he cannot…. He cannot let alpha Lucas die…
Sorry dear goddess, but please… just give me a few moments to… to… release Ava from that cell, please… just a few minutes…. And then you can take me… just… a few… minutes…
The renewed strength suddenly came from nowhere as he opened his eyes, he couldn’t stand up immediately, but he could crawl, he began crawling silently… crawling was even better, because if Sabrina caught sight of him trying to escape from here, she’d hit him again.
He crawled quietly while her back was turned against him, his legs and hands making slow motions as he made his way towards the door, his hand suddenly felt a sharp item, a sharp item he didn’t see on time, as the moment his hand came in contact with the blade, it cut him deeply, increasing his pain.
“Arrrggghhhhh!” He grunted, maybe he should have added more effort to bite down the urge to make any noises, because his shout had alerted Sabrina, she’d turned from the concussions she was boiling to face him back.
“Well, well, the mighty gamma has woken up… I guess it’s time to put him back to sleep….”
She dropped the pot and the doll, and began whirling her hand round numerous times, preparing a bigger blow that Kiron would in no way survive from. As she sent it in his direction, he acted on impulse, grabbing the sharp knife that had cut him to hold it out in front of him, closing his eyes, his heart not knowing what to expect next.
The knife he held out performed a miracle there and then, as the minute her power touched that silver dagger, the blow reversed, and struck Sabrina instead. It sent her backing away, as the unexpected backfire made her lose balance and fall to the ground.
Now was his chance; gathering all of the strength he had left to stand, he couldn’t stand straight as his legs remained crooked, but he could still manage to walk at least. He made limping steps; they were slow enough for the best effort he could give at this point. He clutched the knife tightly in his uninjured hand, he didn’t know what kind of dagger this was, but he sure was going to hold onto it for his dear life.
Sabrina had gotten up, he held the knife in front of him again, planning on defending himself to his last breath if he has to, but to his utmost surprise, she didn’t send another blow towards him again. He then marked out something unmistakable in her eyes… what was it?? Fear??? For someone so powerful, he didn’t expect that she’d be scared of such a small knife, it must hold some power to it somehow to have redirected the blow.
She tried coming closer to him, but then backed off again as soon as he held the dagger out in front of her. Thank the goddess for this knife, he kept holding it out while he slowly made his way out of the room, never daring to turn his back to her, Sabrina was scared to come any closer, so it was a good opportunity for him, and he used it well for his escape.
Sabrina scowled. Just like that, he’d slipped off her fingers. All because of that blasted silver dagger, should she go after him? No… not while this boiling concussion is at its peak. Let the fool run wherever he wants to, by the time he or any other person comes here, it’ll be too late, as Lucas De’ Clan would be no more.
***********
Just… a few more grounds to cover… just hold on Kiron… we’ll soon reach the dungeons… he couldn’t, he couldn’t do this anymore… he’s bleeding from different parts of his body. With the damage Sabrina caused him, it’s going to take a lot of time to heal. But no… he… can’t… he can’t give up now. He’s barely even left the outer area, and he’s already feeling as if he can’t go any further… must… keep… trying…. That’s it, he collapsed to the ground, still clutching the knife in his hand. He didn’t lay there for long before he heard footsteps running towards him.
It was Nani and Kiara, they both crouched down in front of him upon reaching where he was.
“Oh goddess!” Nani shrieked. “Kiron! Who did this to you???
He was so weak, he could barely respond, but still, he at least found a way to force out the words from his mouth, “S-Sabrina…”
“Oh dear, she… she’s in there with Lucas! She’s finally going to end his life!” Another realization struck her then which made her fidget even more… “Cian told me that Ava is in that room…!!! Oh, dear goddess! She’s probably killed Ava! She’s killed his wife and child!!!” she cried.
“Calm down Nani, please,” Kiara managed to sound calm, even with the fear of the possibility of Nani’s words gripping her heart. “Kiron was just there now, look… he’s even holding Ava’s dagger, he’ll manage to tell us what happened, if he managed to escape then maybe Ava might have too.”
Nani nodded and turned to Kiron, nudging his shoulder carefully despite his condition, “Kiron!!! I know you’re unfit but please… you have to find the strength to talk! Please tell us… Did Sabrina kill Ava????”
