Cleared evidence
Sabrina had already sensed another presence in the room with her, but it didn’t stop her from continuing what she was doing, she wasn’t going to let anyone tamper with this fragile spell.
“Dear Ava, what a lovely surprise!”
“Give up the pretense Sabrina! I know who you are now, and I will never let you succeed in taking Lucas away from me!!!”
“Ha! And just how do you intend to stop me from doing just that?”
“I’ll expose you! Everyone here will know you for the witch you truly are, and we will all fight till our last breath to protect our alpha from you!” She swore.
“I see… And what proof do you have towards your “claim” that I am a witch?”
“Don’t be a fool Sabrina, even what you’re doing now is enough evidence that…”
A wide grin on Sabrina’s face, and in an instant, the smell from the room cleared and the atmosphere was once more filled with fresh air, the boiling pot as well as the voodoo doll disappeared from Sabrina’s hand, and now she held nothing; no more pungent smell, no more boiling sounds, not a trace of anything she was doing! Sabrina had cleared all evidence of her witchery right in front of Ava, to her utmost bewilderment.
“What evidence?” Sabrina asked sarcastically as she looked around, feigning as if she didn’t know what confused Ava was talking about.
Ava shook her head, as if blinking would help clear her eyes from what she’d just seen, “no… no… this… can’t be… you were just…”
“Just what Ava??? Huh??? Now the only fool I see here is the one standing in front of me…”
“I will not let you win Sabrina, no matter what you do…”
“I’ve already won dear, whether you allow it or not.”
On an impulse reaction, Ava quickly reached for the knife in her boot, but as soon as Sabrina saw what Ava was about to do, she acted quick as well.
“Guards!!! Guards!!!!!”
The alpha’s personal guard, Kain, along with another guard on duty ran into the room upon Sabrina’s order, the shock on Ava’s face mirrored theirs as soon as they’d seen who had returned. How did she…
Sabrina wasted no time, pointing towards Ava, “she’s trying to kill me, look!!!! She’s holding a knife! The traitor returned to kill the alpha! I stopped her and now she’s trying to kill me!!” She panicked.
“That’s a lie! You know I would never do that! She’s the one who is trying to kill alpha Lucas….”
“You try to kill the alpha and now you’re still pointing accusing fingers??? I’ve had enough of this…” Sabrina angrily directed the guards, “arrest her.”
“She’s lying!!!! I was the one who was trying to save him! Sabrina is not who we all think she is… she’s… she’s lying!!” Ava tried all she could to convince them, but all her screams and shouts fell to deaf ears as the guards mercilessly dragged her away from the room, leaving her weapon on the ground. No way would they ever believe the words of a traitor over someone who had shown so much mercy and kindness in taking care of their alpha.
“That will keep the bitch away until the spell is done!” Sabrina smirked as she closed the door behind them, and with a snap of her finger, the items along with the flames from her powers returned to her hand as if they never disappeared. No one ever dares to go against the greatest witch in history! No one.
She then continued with the incantations, as only a few minutes remained for the spell to be complete.
**********
Ava was dragged to the dungeon area like a rag, she was placed in a small cell separate from the other prisoners, there to remain until the alpha decides what to do with her for flouting the unbroken laws of her banishment.
She might have been caught, but still, she didn’t give up. Yelling at the top of her voice in hopes that help from somewhere would come for her.
“Please! Sabrina has deceived all of us!!! She is not who she appeared to be… she is a witch! She’s ruined the alpha’s life in the past but now it’s wore, she’s here to take his life completely. Alpha Lucas will die if we do not stop her! She’s using black magic…”
Ava yelled and yelled, and when the guards at the post couldn’t take any more of her jabbering, “shut up your mouth woman! Else, we’ll come and shut it for you…”
“Please don’t hurt me… I’m carrying the alpha’s child…”
“Humph, yeah right.”
The guard’s rudeness didn’t discourage her, as she kept on yelling and yelling at the top of her voice, hoping that someone would hear her.
“This is a dungeon yard lady, no one upstairs will hear you. Might as well stop wasting your time and conserve your strength for the “alpha’s” child”
All the guards burst into laughter upon hearing the sarcastic statement made by one of their counterparts, ignoring the crazy lady who was still yelling and claiming to be pregnant.
Ava didn’t stop, she shouted and screeched until her voice could no longer take the stress, the guards did well to ignore her since she wouldn’t stop, they wished they could silence her but no one would dare to do such a thing without a command from the alpha.

.
It was hopeless; she’s been yelling for a long time now, but no help came. Ava dropped to the ground on her knees disappointed, she might as well stop now and conserve her strength like the guard had advised.
So, this is the end of her mate, so this meant that all hope was gone for the both of them ever reuniting, so her child would never get to meet his father, the painful reality of that fact stung, it hurt so much, too much that she didn’t know when tears began streaming down her face. She held her tummy tight as if she could feel pain there too, not just in her heart. The reality was just too much too bear… too much…
But alas! All of that shouting was not in vain, as someone had heard her voice echoing nearby, and that someone had just stepped into the dungeon yard.
