Good old friend
A look of worry overshadowed Nani then, “I don’t know… I honestly don’t know what to do about that Madeline, Susannah has caused so much damage between them now… now they hate each other so much! So much so that Ava doesn’t even mind killing his child!!!”
Nani’s words didn’t surprise her, “of course, the enmity between your alpha and his mate was well planned by Susannah, it was her aim after all, and she succeeded quite well. Ava has already been given the necessary instructions, and if she fails to dwell on it on time, if she keeps letting Sabrina succeed, not only will her mate pay dearly for a crime his ancestor committed that should have been long forgotten, but she will lose him forever.”
“Oh… what do I do now Madeline? I am honestly confused right now… I’ve tried everything to talk to Ava, I’ve persuaded her, but she won’t listen… that girl is so stubborn, she won’t listen to me at all!”
“You will have to make her listen to you; do anything you can do to make her change her mind.”
“You didn’t hear what she said to me this morning! There’s no way she’ll agree to come back!!! Oh… I’m so confused right now Madeline…. I honestly don’t know what to do…”
Upon seeing that Nani broke down again, Madeline then took her hand, helping her up and leading her back to the couch, “I know it’s hard Nani, but trust me, in the end, there’ll be nothing but overflow of joy and laughter in the dawn house.”
“I don’t know if I can do this anymore…”
“Yes, you can Nani… and you will… I have decided to help you… I will come along with you to talk to Ava.”
Nani’s eyes lit up then, “Oh, thank you so much for all your help, Madeline! I don’t know what I’d have done without you, my friend!”

Nani returned to the camps the next morning with Madeline, upon reaching there, she was devastated to hear that Ava had escaped from the guards that held her hostage.
“You let her slip right through your noses?? A small omega ran away from ten whole able-bodied wolf guards like you???”
“We’re sorry Nani,” Devan began to explain. “… but you know she’s a pregnant woman, apart from the fact that she disturbed us so much with her urge to pee every thirty minutes, she complained that she wasn’t getting enough good sleep in the restraints. As soon as she was released from the chains, she knocked out the guard and ran off.”
“When did she leave?”
“Just last night, we know she’s still hiding the forest somewhere, it’s a large forest and she couldn’t have travelled overnight. We have guards combing the entire area.”
Nani slumped on a nearby bench, “oh, I don’t know what to do with that girl anymore!”
Madeline bent, comforting her, “don’t worry dear, I’m sure they’ll find her, she shouldn’t have gone too far according to what the guards said.”
A thought then came to Nani which made her jump, a thought she had the strong urge to try, “Madeline! You are a seer, right? Can’t you detect Ava’s presence or something? Maybe foretell where she went, or something like that?”
Madeline burst into laughter upon hearing her words, “detecting her presence? I’m afraid only her mate can do that with those wolf scenty things. I’ve never used my gifts to find any missing person before.”
“Can’t you try??? I mean, there’s always a first time for everything!”
“Hmmm… yes, well I guess there is, maybe I can’t foretell where she went, but I can tell where she WILL be, probably in the next couple of minutes, but it will only happen if I’m given the vision, I can’t force myself to see what is not revealed to me.”
Nani’s face lit up then, “thank you Madeline! At least it will help in a way, have you started seeing anything now?”
Madeline chuckled, closing her eyes, “Patience, dear friend, like I said, I can’t force myself to see anything, it has to be revealed to me itself…” she shrieked, “wait!!!! I’ve seen her now.”
Nani jolted up. Her eyes revealed pure desperation, “where is she???!!!”
“She’s travelled far, that girl is really strong! She’s about to leave the forest in about three minutes, we’d better hurry, there’s an abortionist who lives around the area that borders the forest; she has plans to remove the child.”
“No!!! three minutes!!!” Nani panicked, “we don’t have much time before she reaches there!”
“We can take the truck Nani,” Devan suggested. “I’m sure it will reach the other side on time if the driver hurries.”
“Really??? What are we waiting for then? Let’s go now!!!”

Ava’s legs hurt like crazy, she’s travelled all through the night and now as she keeps walking, she has the urge to try to rest, but no, she can’t. She knows the wolf guards are out looking for her, and they could easily catch her if she risks wasting precious time.
She’s almost at her destination now; the local abortionists house shouldn’t be too far from here, soon it will be all over and she will rid herself of this seed of Lucas De’ Clan she carries in her body. She travelled through the last batch of trees bordering the forest, she’s already out now! She’s made it! She can already spot the abortionists house a small distance away!
Honk-honk!!!
As she left the forest, she suddenly heard the horn of a large truck, the horn sounded familiar, like the kind that used to run around delivering supplies to the camps. The truck parked near where she was and then her joy was instantly cut short when she saw the people who came out through the door of the vehicle.
Nani left the truck first, running towards her. “Ava, please! Listen to me; you’re making a mistake! You cannot kill this child!”
“Leave me alone Nani! I’m warning you! Don’t try to stand in my way! My child! My body! I chose to do with it as I wish!” She scowled.
