Nicole paced around the room, looking for a way to get through to Natalie without overdoing it, how could she use their town bond? She loved her sister but sometimes she makes it impossible to love her, and the fact that she had planned on not attending the wedding in the first place and now she was using a promise they made when they were kids against her, so manipulative and inconsiderate of others.
“Natalie, if that’s what you want, then so be it, I can’t marry a man I don’t care about just to please you, and what’s more he doesn’t even know I exist and with the way it going to be, I will be married to him as someone else, no thank you,”
Nicole said meaning every word, she had done enough for Natalie without expecting anything from her in return, her twin on the other hand have done nothing for her except use her for her own benefits.
“Nicole, I have the paper here we are both going to sign it, I promise I will be back but please don’t say no, Rafael will destroy our family if I don’t show up, I know it bad that I used our bond, but I don’t have a choice, I am helpless here and time is running out, please, I know you are kind-hearted and won’t like to see our family destroyed,”
Natalie pleaded, now she was crying, Nicole felt hopeless, time was running out, could she really do this for her sister? Marry someone who she doesn’t like and doesn’t know of her existence? Would she be okay with it? Natalie looked really scared right now, would she be so heartless and let her sister struggle when she can help? It hurt so bad how much she was thinking about this right now, of giving herself up for Natalie once again even though that’s not what she wanted.
“I can’t do this,”
She said more to herself.
“Please Nicole, it’s just going to be temporary,”
Natalie pleaded, the tears ruining her makeup.
“Are you sure Natalie? That you will come back in a week?”
“Yes, I will, I just need to get my acts together, I promise, just do this for me, I promise after this, I don’t make you do anything crazy ever again.”
“At least you know you make me do crazy things that normal people won’t do,”
Nicole lamented, she couldn’t stop herself from helping her sister, not when she could, she knew she was setting herself up by accepting to help Natalie but what else could she do? If she refuses, they might all be in trouble and if she helps, she only needs to give up a week of her life.
“Fine, let’s do it,”
She said giving in, they didn’t have much time and she had to redo her makeup because she ruined them during the argument.
“Thank you so much, Nicole, thank you so much for being such a wonderful sister to me,”
Natalie said hugging her, Nicole pushed her away, she might have agreed to help her but that doesn’t mean she was in for the hug and love declarations which she knew she was getting because she agreed to do her biddings, it didn’t feel right.
“Don’t thank me please just keep to your promise, or I am just going to reveal it to him myself, I don’t care what the consequences will be,,”
She warned.
“Okay, thank you”
Natalie said as she helped her in fixing her makeup since there was no one else to do it in the house, by the time they were done and she was in the wedding dress Natalie had bought for her, they were already late.
“This wedding gown was part of the plan too right?”
Nicole asked as they put finishing touches to her.
“I am sorry,”
“Just shut up I hate you, are you going to be there?”
She asked and Nataliesaid no.
“I have to leave, the car can drop me off at the airport before it takes you to church, as we are already late it will be a perfect excuse as to why you were late,”
“That will be ruining my name to our parents,”
“No, it’s my name now,”
“Shut the fuck up, I am Nicole,”
“Okay, aren’t you going to sign?”
She asked and Nicole shook her head, she didn’t see the use, it wasn’t like it was something legal and it didn’t even make sense what it says, Natalie just wrote, if she doesn’t return in a week then Nicole can claim full ownership of their joint inheritance, Nicole didn’t want that.
“Are you sure,”
“Yes, now stop asking me before I change my mind,”
“Sure, let’s get going, I will go get the driver, let me quickly change,”
She said as she left Nicole in her room, Nicole looked at herself in the mirror, she couldn’t believe she let her sister talk her into this, why couldn’t she ever say no to her? All it took was Natalie to shed a few tears and she was in a wedding dress and getting married to a man she knew nothing about, except the things she read about him on the internet which weren’t nice things.
“Let’s get going twinnie,”
Natalie said as she entered the room again, she had on Nicole’s clothes and even glasses. The lady must have spent a lot of time planning this, seeing how detailed she was.
“If you don’t come back as you say,”
“I will don’t worry,”
“Fine,”
Natalie went to get the driver while Nicole came down in her wedding dress, they were on the road a few moments later, first, they went to drop Natalie off at the airport, she forgot to ask her where she was going and Natalie was already inside the airport before she remembered, she thought of going to ask her but then she realized Natalie phone which had been with her had been ringing.
“Shoot, we are super late, let’s go, Rex,”
She said to the driver who zoomed off towards the church immediately, she was getting married not as Nicole but as her twin Natalie…
