CHAPTER THIRTY SIX
“You are back!” I huffed extremely happily and I jerked off the couch.
He didn’t say a word, rather he pulled me into his arms and I really wished I could concrete and live in the moment but I just couldn’t.
The look on his face wasn’t promising, he was sad. I was no werewolf neither did I have detecting skills but I still know when things aren’t already with Dylan.
“Hey, what’s wrong?” I asked, staring into his eyes.
They are dull and pale, my ears are itching to hear something but he doesn’t grant me my wish. Rather, he kissed me on the forehead and requested to eat.
“I’m hungry.” His husky voice filled my ear. I stared into his eyes, and decided not to trouble him further.
In a swift, I’m in the kitchen preparing what I know he loves best.
He turned off the television and headed towards the room. I can’t say for sure but I know something was wrong somewhere and one thing was certain, I would find out about it.
Aside from the intimate relationship we now share, Dylan was still a friend and I will stop at absolutely nothing to know what was eating him up.
I swirled around in the kitchen and within a short period of time, I was done preparing the meal.
Dishing it out, I clenched on the tray, taking it to his room.
I knocked before slightly pushing the door open and coming instead.
His attention is drawn to the for when I suddenly pulled it open and he faked a smile taking the tray away from me.
“Seems perfect, just like you.” He smirked, turning over to see the surprised expression written all over my face.
I blushed as he bridged the distance between us and claimed my lips.
Our lips collided, and I felt a rush of adrenaline all over my body.
I’m still lost in the moment, he placed his hands around my waist, drawing me closer as his hot wet lips devoured mine.
I skidded my hands through his shorts and could feel his cock rising…
What was I thinking? He had just returned back from a rough day. I took steps back from him and I’m about to say a word when I hear a knock on the door.
“I’ll go get that, you stay right here and eat.” I chuckled, pressing my lips against his cheeks.
Sauntering towards the door, I felt someone pull me back from behind. Turning sharply, my eyes met with Dylan’s and I huffed thinking it was someone else.
He pulled the door gently and the person my eyes fell on is none other than Derek.
I gave a faint smile and walked into the house so they could talk.
The second I walked away, I could hear them whispering inaudible words and I tried to listen, but I could barely make out anything.
I gave up and just went straight to the bed, waiting for Dylan..
Curiosity did rise inside me, why had Derek come all the way from the pack just to pay a visit, Dylan was certainly going to answer all my questions tonight.
I muttered to myself waiting patiently.
I’m finally at rest the second I heard him slam the door. He comes into the room shortly and I’m glaring at him as though he was some kind of monster.
“What happened?” I asked, not really expecting him to reply positively.
“We are no longer safe here…” he stares deep into my confused eyes, picking up my hands and kissing them softly.
“What do you mean?” I scrutinized him.
“Trust me on this, it’s the best thing to do.”
“Why?”
“Because everyone is in danger, I can’t let anything happen to you.”
“And I keep asking you what happened! Say something.”
He sighed before speaking again.
Rogues have invaded this city..
You might find it funny but they had attacked Raymond on that day he had come here.
I saw him wounded and when Derek came to run a test on him, the claws were totally different from that of a werewolf.
That was when we started our investigation and I found out there are rouges
My mouth is opened and I can feel my heart beating faster.
Firstly, I didn’t even know what the term rogues means but from Dylan’s eyes, I know they are terror!
Secondly, did he just say Raymond got involved in what?….
“Where is Raymond?” I managed to say after some time.
“He is fine, Derek has him hospitalized.” He affirmed.
“What does rogue mean?” I let the words slip out of my mouth and she turned to look at me before speaking.
“They are wolves that don’t have a pack! They wander about, lonely and seeking packs to destroy.” He narrated.
“Oh,” that was all I said and let him enjoy his meal.
Dylan had insisted we move out very early the next day so I sat at the edge of my bed packing our stuff and arranging it into the bags.
I honestly wished I got the opportunity to go out one last time with Dylan before we moved but his scowl shut my perfect imaginations down.
Returning back to the pack wasn’t a bad idea either, I got to communicate with the pack members and to be serious, I really missed their company.
Later that evening, Dylan took me out to a fancy restaurant after we bickered for a long while.
He grasped my arm in his as we walked into the lounge.
He beamed a luring smile at me and I could feel my stomach twirling and we settled down on our reserved table.
The waiter approached us in a matter of seconds and soon penned down our order.
He leaves shortly and I find myself lost as I stare at how charming Dylan looked.
A perfect curled hair, his sleeves and shorts that could barely hide his builded torso and muscles. An earthly scent of strawberry swirled around him and my heart danced with every second I inhaled it.
“Perhaps a dance?” He gestured.
I smiled, nodding my head and taking his hand.
“You look more beautiful tonight.” He spinned me around and planted a kiss on my neck.
“Everyone’s watching.” I scoffed but he continued.
“I don’t care.” He whispered and I felt myself smiling at his words.
It’s halfway into the dance when I felt Dylan drawback harshly causing me to lose balance..
I panicked and became a bit mad at him, but when I turned around, there was no sign of Dylan. I was literally walking in circles until I bumped into someone.
“Dyl…” I paused my words as a strange huge man was standing next to me.
I remembered Dylan talking about rogues invading the town. I don’t want to think much about it and I tried to stay away from him.
“Sorry.” I muttered.
“You don’t have to be sorry, come on, let’s enjoy the night. Your darling had been taken very far away. He won’t be Interrupting us anytime soon.”
He smirked and I bulged my eyes, what was he saying… What does that mean? Where is Dylan and where have they taken him?
