Liam opened his eyes, and relief washed over him when he saw his stepbrother lying lifeless on the ground, soaked in his own blood.
“Yes, I didn’t miss my target,” a guy said from behind, and Liam’s eyes brightened when he recognized Elliot’s voice.
“Elliot!” Liam called out to his real brother, who had shot his stepbrother from behind, just as the police officers started chasing the goons.
“Hey, love, your real brother is here to save you,” Elliot sheepishly smiled, having overheard everything Liam’s stepbrother had said.
“You,” Liam chuckled but immediately remembered Amelia.
“Amelia!” He rushed over to her and carried her up.
“Let’s take her to the hospital quickly,” Liam said, and with Amelia in his arms, he and Elliot ran out.
They arrived at the hospital, and Amelia was immediately taken to the operating room to remove the bullet.
“She’s gonna be fine,” Elliot assured Liam, who was praying silently.
“I pray so,” Liam muttered.
The doctor emerged from the room, and Liam approached him, anxious for news.
“How is she?” Liam questioned the doctor.
“She and her babies are out of danger,” the doctor informed Liam before leaving.
“Babies?” Liam and Elliot said in unison.
“Doc, wait!” Liam stopped the doctor before he left.
“Yes, Mr. Scott?” The doctor turned to look at Liam.
“What do you mean by babies?” Liam asked, puzzled.
“Yes, doc, what do you mean?” Elliot added, holding Liam’s shoulders and smiling sheepishly.
“She is one week pregnant with twins,” the doctor informed them before leaving.
“I see. Dude was hitting it every night. No wonder you got mad anytime I called you at night,” Elliot joked.
“I’m going to be a father,” Liam’s eyes lit up with joy.
“And I’m going to be an uncle,” Elliot added, and both of them jumped with joy, not caring about the eyes on them.
A few hours later, Amelia woke up and had regained her memories completely, remembering everything.
“Oh my goodness, you remember me,” Elliot said, pretending to wipe fake tears away, making them chuckle.
“I’m so happy you remember me, Teddy,” Liam said, earning a smile from Amelia.
“I’m so sorry I lied to you about not regaining my memory before,” Amelia apologized to him.
“That’s okay. I’m just happy you have regained your memory,” Liam happily hugged her.
“Okay, I will give you lovebirds some space to talk,” Elliot grinned before leaving.
“I’m gonna be an uncle!” Elliot yelled before leaving, making Amelia turn to Liam.
“What does he mean by that?” Amelia questioned Liam.
“Well, you are pregnant… I mean, we are pregnant with twins,” Liam informed Amelia, making her eyes widen.
“Wow, I can’t believe I’m about to be a mother,” she excitedly announced.
“Yes, Teddy,” Liam smiled brightly at her happiness.
Four months later, Amelia’s pregnancy was showing, and Liam took great care of her, ensuring she didn’t stress or do anything. He even stopped her from going to work, and sometimes Elliot visited them.

Laila was running along the hallway and accidentally bumped into Claudia but didn’t stop in her tracks, which annoyed Claudia, who cursed at her.
“What’s making that bitch run so much?” Claudia wondered and decided to follow Laila to see what she was up to.
“Guys!” Laila yelled, drawing everyone’s attention.
“What’s wrong?” Mike asked Laila.
“Guess what?” Laila uttered.
“You and Mike have finally decided to announce that you are together,” Miss Cynthia stated, and Laila and Mike gasped, exchanging glances.
“What do you mean?” Laila stuttered nervously, looking at Mike.
“Come on, Laila, do you think we wouldn’t find out?” Nina scoffed, moving closer to her.
“Everyone sees you guys sneaking out of the company at night together,” Nina informed them, surprised.
“This is all your fault for not meeting me at the back door like planned,” Laila muttered to Mike.
“I’m sorry, honey,” Mike apologized, and him calling her “honey” made everyone gasp, followed by Laila playfully hitting him in his chest.
“Busted!” Nina and Xavier said in unison, making everyone laugh, except for Laila and Mike.
“Yes, we are together,” Mike confessed, pulling Laila into his embrace as everyone cheered.
“Let go of me,” Laila pushed him away, fixing her hair.
“Don’t be mean, honey. Everyone now knows you are mine. I mean, yesterday we…” Mike grinned, and Laila covered his mouth, stopping him from saying more, while she laughed nervously.
“That’s enough now, or I will break your bones,” Laila whispered in Mike’s ear while laughing to cover up.
“Laila,” Miss Cynthia called out to her, looking at her.
“Fine, we are together,” Laila admitted, making everyone cheer once more.
“But that isn’t what I wanted to tell you guys,” Laila said, pausing the jubilation.
“What else can beat this news!” Nina yelled, and the jubilation resumed.
“Amelia is pregnant with twins for the boss!” Laila’s announcement caused the jubilation to pause for a moment before continuing.
“Amelia is pregnant for Liam,” Claudia gasped, covering her mouth.
