Crazy

Chapter Forty-One – Crazy.
Chen sighed, then spread out his hands. “Ta-da! Now you know why! But don’t blame my little cousin, love has a way of making you do the craziest thing possible.”
“It does. I mean look at you, trying to remove my wife from my life so that the girl you love can have me.” Damien said with low energy.
He shook his head. He was yet to absorb that fact that Debby had a crush on him and that crush was the reason she was being like that.
How petty could she be? And this was a dangerous measure.
Chen smirked. “Right, don’t we both have a lot in common?”
“Yeah, crazy. You two are crazy!” Damien spat out.
Chen burst out laughing. “I’m in a stage where people calling me ‘crazy’ and ‘weird’ sound like a compliment. It likes saying ‘unbelievably cool’ and ‘otherworldly different’ in my dictionary.”
“You have a weird dictionary.” Damien sighed. “Well, now I know why she’s being crazy. What are her demands? I should marry her, or what!” a slight chuckle left his lips.
The boy groaned, stretching his limbs. “It’s stupid, really. This Arya had slapped and insulted her then took what she loved. Did you know Debby was preserving her virginity for you?”
Chen tsked. “She is crazy. Your dictionary crazy.”
Damien cringed on hearing his words. “What is the solution to stop this madness! Answer me already!”
“Kill Arya.”
Time stopped around Damien. But he smirked.
“Or divorce her.” Chen added. “Basically, she shouldn’t be in your life. What other demands were you expecting, huh?”
It was truly funny to Damien. The smirk on his face stayed there for a while before it fell and he exhaled. “Do you know what I did to get Arya to be married to me?”
Chen raised a brow. “Wasn’t she set to marry you? Oh right, there wasn’t a history of you dating her. I remember Debby say the marriage was sudden because you had no girlfriend.”
Damien nodded. “And now you want me to divorce her?”
“You could kill her so seeing her won’t hurt you. Would you need help?” Chen licked his lower lips.
Damien’s fists clenched and he made them visible to Chen. “Don’t provoke me, Chen. I know a lot about your mafia business to put it to an end.”
“How dare you speak of that….”
“I have money, Chen. Huge one. And influence. I respected Debby and your father to stay quiet but don’t see it as being a pushover.” Damien added.
The young boys clenched his fists pointing at him. “Don’t forget who has a bomb around your house. I’d kill you too!”
That fact nearly skipped Damien’s mind but still he knew Chen wouldn’t blow the place up.
For three reasons, that wasn’t Debby’s instruction to him and he’d rather die than do what she didn’t order.
Two, Chen would die too if he blew it up. And three, he’s a wuss and a coward, he couldn’t do it.
Either ways, Damien deemed him wasting his time and if the young man habitually blew places up to show he’s mad, they’d be a mess around his mansion.
Meanwhile, Arya helped the last servant out of the house. A smile was constantly on her face, glad that they hadn’t met unexpected death but locked themselves in a safe room.
She felt like a heroine as they thanked her with teary eyes. To some extent, it wiped off the guilt she felt for being the target. “Thank you, God.” she sighed in relief.
Her mind went back to the balcony that fell, that was surely in Selena’s room. She hurried there but with tiptoes.
“Don’t forget who has a bomb around your house! I’d kill you too!” she heard a young man scream. It startled her but slowly a frown rested on her face, that was her offender.
Damien must be in there for him to be speaking with. She wondered if he was injured or just trying to talk reason to the boy.
“All you have with you is a bomb though, one you’d never use till you leave here.” Damien replied after a while.
Arya was stunned at how collected and clear he spoke. He didn’t seem scared or fazed that they was a bomber in his home. Fear was eating her head out.
“D-Don’t you dare underestimate me!” Chen shouted.
Damien ran his hands through his hair. “You’re the one who underestimated me. Kill my wife so your lover will be happy? Bullshit. Total bullshit.”
Arya’s hands flew to her mouth on hearing that. Kill her? They wanted her dead? What did she ever do to them?
Chen took steps backwards. He might have underestimated the young man. Threatening him with a bomb to divorce his wife was a waste.
He had assumed Sir Damien would treasure his legendary home over a girl he seemed to have picked from the roadside to marry.
Chen never foresaw Damien being very protective over her. He didn’t even look fazed that his house was in disarray.
“Your wife must mean a lot to you.” He sighed. “But you barely know her for a year, you’re being stupid.” He added.
Arya frowned, then tried to peek through the keyhole to see the bastard that wanted her dead.
“On the contrary, I’ve known her for ten years.” Damien replied getting closer to the boy. “And she’s someone who’d sacrifice for someone she met a month ago. Why can’t I?”
The bomb control was taken from Chen without the boy struggling. He knew it was no use to fight back as he wouldn’t dare set off the bombs.
“You know you’d go to jail, but then your father would easily get you out. But again, I’m a big shot here and we’re not in China. If I want you to rot in jail, you will.” Damien smirked.
The boy was quiet.
“But, you’re still young and do crazy thing for Love. I would know. Go back home and don’t bother listening to anything that bitch tells you. You’d always be a criminal here.”
Chen looked up in surprise. Did he get spared?
“Since when were you that kind?” he mouthed.
“I have good influence.” Damien replied, attempting to leave.
Chen cocked his head. Was the good influence his wife?
Arya sighed in relief that everything was resolved. She flew down the stairs before Damien will leave the room.
Something pondered in her head. How had Damien known her for ten years? Since she was nine?
Wasn’t he just her sister’s university friend? That’d be barely four years if her sister had begun talking about her right when they met. Was he joking about it?
She sighed again then attempted to get back inside the car outside. Just then, she came face to face with Chen.
Her heart skipped a beat.
She looked up the window, and realized he must have jumped down from Selena’s room. He must be very athletic. She went back, fondling on her words. “Y-You?”
