Joy stood straight in front of Alex holding his iPad in his hands, Alex was immersed in his work but when he didn’t hear Joy saying anything he looked up and the expression on Joy’s face was unreadable.
Alex frowned and said in a stern tone “Do you have anything to say?”
Joy gulped hard and said gathering his courage but in a stern tone in which he had never spoken to his boss “President, I know I might lose my job today for my cocky behavior, but you are wrong this time”
He waited for Alex to shout at him but it didn’t happen in fact Alex was ready to hear him so Joy continued “President, only you and me know that you have a hidden camera in your office and only two of us can see its footage and I can see it only with your permission but I have looked into the footage without your permission this time” and he paused.
Now Alex was running out of patience and he said angrily “Joy, can you come to the point?”
Joy handed over the iPad to Alex and said “President that day Mam’s accident happened in front of our office building, I suspected that why she was here so I did some investigation and I found out that she was here because you had messaged her to come to the office and have lunch with you”
Alex got angry and said “are you an idiot?, I know she is pregnant why would I call her from so far and that too alone”
Joy continued “President, I have hacked Mam’s phone and it had your message and I enquired same at your home also and Butler Simon confirmed that she left the home to have lunch with you”
Now Alex stood from his chair holding the iPad in his hands, things were not as it was visible.
Joy said “President when I looked at the accident Maam ran out of our office building crying, she looked lost, so I understood one thing that she must have faced something which she was not able to bear because she is not an easy person to cry”
“So I started looking at all the CCTV footage and it was clear that she had seen something in your office after which she ran outside without senses, that’s when I decided to have a look of the CCTV footage of your office and you can have a look in the iPad what Mam had seen”
When Alex heard all this he already felt the floor moving from his feet with trembling hands he turned on the iPad and saw that he was making out on his working table with Selena and when Alice ran back to the lift these two people in the office smirked, wore their clothes and left his office.
He was startled, he looked at Joy and said “I never did that, in fact, I was in a meeting with you and another board of director at that time, how could it be possible?” his mind was in a mess.
It was all planned by someone and he didn’t trust his Alice, he left her alone in the hospital. How will he forgive himself?
Joy looked at him and said “President, your phone was hacked and the message was sent to Mam”
Alex was blank at this moment; he didn’t know how he would face his Alice whom he left in the hospital alone. She didn’t have anyone around her. He was anxious; he wanted to see her right now.
Without uttering any other word he started walking out of his office. Joy followed him silently.
At this moment what Alex was thinking no one could say, but it was visible that he was in pain, the pain of not trusting in the love of his life, the pain of leaving her alone when she needed him the most, the pain of pushing her away when she wanted to stand with him.
Alex reached the hospital in a hurry and ran to the reception and asked, “in which ward is Alice Williams?”
The receptionist looked at him, nodded, and started looking for Alice’s records after a few seconds; she said: “she was discharged from the hospital on the same day of her admission.”
Alex frowned and asked, “who discharged her?”
She replied as per our records “her husband discharged her”
Alex was furious, and he roared banging the table, “what nonsense you are talking about I am her husband, and I didn’t discharge her.”
The receptionist was badly scared seeing Alex like this; he tried to suppress his anger; he turned around and left the hospital.
Joy knows that his boss is in a bad mood, he should be, he deserves it, how could he leave his injured wife alone in the hospital.
After sitting in the back seat of his car, he ordered his driver “to Dylan’s home” he somewhere knew that Dylan must know where Alice is.
Soon they reached Dylan’s home; no one dared to stop him at the gate or the door. He directly entered the living room and started calling Alice’s name, but he didn’t get any response.
After a few attempts, he turned to Dylan’s butler and asked, “where is Dylan?”
“What can I do for you, big brother?” said Dylan, getting down from the steps. It was the first time that he didn’t have a smiling face when he was talking to Alex.
He always respected him, but today something was off.
Alex looked at him and asked, “Where is my wife?”
Dylan replied angrily, “After two days of her accident, you remember you have a wife?”
Alex was running out of patience he roared “Dylan, tell me where she is? Or I will kill you.”
Dylan sneered at him and said, “same like you killed your daughter and almost my sister?”
