Alex was baffled at Dylan’s words, he said, grinding his teeth, “what nonsense are you talking about?” his eyes were red; it looked like blood was flowing in his eyes.
Dylan was also outraged, he snarled, “Alice told me everything, how you asked the doctor to remove the baby from her belly.”
Alex cut him off angrily grabbing Dylan’s collar “stop talking nonsense, why would I do that, she is my wife why would I kill my daughter she was the one who didn’t want our baby.”
Dylan pushed him away and said, “don’t you even dare to call her your wife. She has nothing to do with you, do you even know in what condition my men found her; she was lying on the footpath soaked in blood. If we were a little late she would have been dead by now.”
Alex numbed at his spot, he didn’t reply for a moment after some time he said absentmindedly, “but the doctor told me her injuries are not serious.”
Dylan looked at him with hateful eyes and said “did the doctor tell you how they pulled out the baby forcefully from her belly, did they tell you that they didn’t treat her injuries, did they tell you that her internal organs were still bleeding when they left her on the footpath, did they tell you that after pulling the baby out they didn’t even stitch her belly properly, did they tell you that Selena and her mother slapped her numerous time and threw her out of the hospital” while saying all this Dylan had tears in his eyes he can never forget that horrifying scene when he found his sister.
Alex lost life from his body; he felt like someone squished his heart. He let his Alice suffer so much, they killed his daughter, and tortured his Alice so much and he did nothing.
He didn’t have any courage to ask any more questions, or we can say he didn’t dare to know more about Alice’s sufferings.
He turned around to leave like a lifeless body, but Dylan spoke again “Big brother, please take this with you Alice asked me to give it to you”
Alex turned and saw their couple pendant and the chain. She left it behind, indicating to him that this was the end of their relationship.
Alex took the chain with shaking hands and left Dylan’s house.
Alex came back home, dragging his heavy legs, and went to his bedroom. The moment he entered the room, his nostrils were filled with Alice’s body smell.
It felt like she was still here; he wanted to hug her badly. He fell on his knees, and tears started rolling down his cheeks.
He never cried in his life, but today he felt like he lost his everything, her sweet voice was echoing in his ears “Tony, I love you,” Tony what name we will give to our daughter,” “Tony, will I be a good mother,” Tony, don’t work so hard, I want you, not your money.”
He pressed his hands on his ears and cried out, “Alice, please come back. I can’t leave without you.”
He was in guilt; he was in unbearable pain.
It has been a few days, Alex didn’t come out of his bedroom, he will hardly have something to eat and that too in his bedroom only.
He doesn’t want to leave his bedroom; he still feels her smell here. He doesn’t want to miss it. If he leaves the bedroom, he thinks that he is leaving Alice behind, which he doesn’t want to do.
He feels that he can’t breathe in the air out of this bedroom.
He was standing in front of the French window when butler Simon informed him that his uncle Mak Williams is here to meet him.
Alex went down to the living room and sat on the sofa in front of his uncle and said, “Tell me, uncle, why are you here?”
Mak smiled gently and said, “Alex, now you have played enough. I think now you should get settled and think about the growth of our business.”
Alex replied in a monotonous tone, “And what, according to uncle, I should do for the growth of my business?”
Mak replied, “See Alex being your uncle and the only family I had already announced your engagement with Selena Morris, she is the daughter of the second richest man in our country so that we can use this marriage for our benefits.”
Alex listened to his uncle patiently; he knew his uncle very well; he always looked forward to their business growth; there were many times he had helped him after his father’s death.
After thinking for some time, he said, “ok, uncle I will do as you wish, I will get engaged to Selena after three months, and later on, we can look for a good date for marriage.”
Uncle Mak didn’t know the evil side of Selena, and he was happy that stubborn Alex had finally agreed for this business marriage, little did he know that Alex had different plans.
Mak Williams had selected Selena as Alex’s bride because she was the daughter of the second richest man of the country, and she was the lone heir of all the property.
Mak Williams never got married; it was said that he loved some girl, but that girl cheated him, so he lost faith in a relationship. After his elder brother’s death, he tried to support Alex in all the ways he could as he was the only family he had.
Alex went back to his bedroom and took a long bath while lying in the bathtub. He was staring at the ceiling; it looked like he was planning something big.
He got out of the bathroom after taking a shower and wore a tailored suit and kept Alice’s couple pendant and chain in his pocket; he wanted her to always be with him always, and after that, he walked out of the bedroom, calling Joy from his phone.
