CHAPTER 37

Book:FLIRTING WITH A BILLIONAIIRE Published:2024-6-2

Every time he and Monique reached out, whether in the kitchen, in the garden, or in any corner of the house, her blood boiled even more.. Trying hard to get Damian noticed his prowess in cooking, cleaning, and interior designing. I guess Monique wanted to change everything.
She was in the living room and comforted herself by watching videos on top when she noticed some of the helpers with Rebecca heading to the second floor. “Man, what’s on the second floor?” he asked Rebecca.
“Monique is asking you to help clean your Pop’s old room,” Rebecca replied.
“W-what?” He got up quickly and ran up the stairs because he was sure the woman had other plans. If only to clean, why do we need five helpers? Can’t it sweep on its own? The door to her Pop’s room opened and she entered Monique who was busy changing the bedsheets. “Trust me, Monique. What are you going to do in Pop’s room? ” He raised an eyebrow at the woman and crossed his arms over her body as he waited for her answer.
He resented Ella’s presence in the house because he felt it was always blocking them and Damian. “It would be a pity if this room was left to be filled with dust. I plan to make this a nursery room for Damian and I,”Monique replied.
Ella narrowed her eyes towards Monique but the other woman was unfazed by her death stare. “There are many guest rooms that can be transformed into a nursery room, why do you have to mess with Pop’s room?” His voice rose.
“You know, I’ll be grateful if you just leave this house, Ella. Please, don’t push yourself on Damian and me. ” Said Monique.
Ella laughed because Monique didn’t seem to know who the house was named after Damian’s father died. “Why didn’t you leave?”
“And why would I do that? This is my fiancé’s house! ” Monique’s statement.
“Is that so? Why don’t you ask Damian later whose ‘house’ is? Ask him when he comes home from the ranch, “Ella challenged Monique. “Leave Pop’s room alone or else,” she warned Monique not to touch anything inside the old man’s room.
“Or else what?” Monique thinks that her plastic surgery with Ella doesn’t matter because they both know the truth that they can’t really get along. “Do you like my boyfriend?” Monique then asked Ella.
Ella is suddenly silent and doesn’t know how to answer Monique’s question but she also can’t admit their true state of Damian. “Are you so insecure and are you jealous of me? Tsk tsk tsk, “he said and motioned for Monique to leave her Pop’s room.
“You have a day with me too,” Monique said in a whisper before leaving the room.
He followed the outgoing woman with his gaze and then stared. Maybe Monique thought it would win her over. Never! Ella continued cleaning her father-in-law’s room and then she talked to the old man’s photo. “Dad, I miss you so much.” He said and kissed her face which was in the picture frame.
After she cleaned the whole room, Ella thought of going to bed first and resting. It’s also tiring to clean, however, he won’t let Monique do what she wants in Jack McBride’ room.
His deep sleep was disturbed when the door suddenly opened and slammed shut. His forehead furrowed when he saw Damian’s angry face at the door and he wondered why it looked like that. “Damian…,” he called the man’s name.
“Ella, you’re really overreacting! Why do you have to hurt Monique? ” Damian’s voice thundered across the room.
In an instant, she’s awake! He got up and faced the man furiously at him. “When did I hit him? I just told him not to move Pop’s room! ”
“Reprimanded or slapped? How can you explain to me that his cheek is still red because you slapped him? ” Damian asked. The two have been together under one roof for less than a week but they have only caused him stress.
“And did you believe what he said?” He was offended because Damian believed Monique more.
“Why not? It would be inappropriate if one of the helpers slapped Monique, “Damian said.
Ella tried to calm herself down as her blood was already boiling and she wanted to stone Damian with a lampshade to make her conscious for a moment. “Why don’t you ask him how he slapped himself?” he asked the man in a defiant voice because he knew in himself that he had not hurt Monique. “Do you think I’ll be content to slap him?” he boldly asked Damian, and then he left it. She’s not the kind of woman to spank, maybe punch maybe!
He went back to his room and there just continued watching videos on the tap. If Monique hadn’t reappeared in Damian’s life, she wouldn’t be able to discover Tiktok because she only knew about Facebook then. Will I be able to make my own video?
He laughed at the idea that entered his brain because he really didn’t have the talent to dance and make people laugh. He’s just serious and cranky sometimes but he’s not a comedian. But unfairness on the tip, andaming yummy on display and pure heartfelt love for those who tried to dance. If Damian finds out what he did, he will definitely be fired, but that won’t happen because Damian doesn’t like social media.
After Damian accused her of allegedly slapping Monique, she never appeared to the man again. He would only come down to eat when Damian had left, and he was already in the room when he came home from work. For a few days he tried to distance himself from the two because he had no confidence in himself and he might be able to pull out the coward in no time.
One afternoon, Ella thought of going out first because she craved milktea and wanted to hang out at the mall. Before he could operate his car, he tried to call Sofia but still could not be contacted, as well as James. He thought the two might be locked in their room.
Carrying a large size Okinawa milktea, Ella wandered around the mall and just looked around. He has no plans to go shopping or anything. He really just wanted to take a walk and have milktea, but he thought that if there was a good show at the cinema, he could hang out there for a while.
He was only a few meters away from the movie theater when he saw Julius, the man he had met there at the street food restaurant. She was about to approach the man when suddenly a woman like… Monique!
