CHAPTER 38

He just silently watched the two and waited to see Monique make love to Julius, but the woman just frowned. Julius went to the counter and bought a ticket, and he simply followed the two. He didn’t know which movie the two would watch so he bought one ticket each per show available.
Wearing her hat and shades was a big help because they hid her appearance so she was not immediately noticed by the two. When Julius and Monique sat on a bench near the cinema, he sided with the two and made sure he kept himself busy drinking milktea and texting supposedly.
“Have you already decided about what you’re pregnant with?” Julius asked.
“Yes, and so I agreed to meet so that we could end our relationship. I am ready to marry Damian, “Monique said.
“Monique, I’m ready to marry you too.” Julius’s statement.
Monique laughed and looked at the man. “And how are you going to keep us alive when a policeman’s salary is meager!” Monique emphatically declined Julius’s offer.
“Let’s work together,” Julius said.
“Julius, if you really love me, let me do whatever is best for my son… for our son.” Monique said and got up first and left without saying goodbye.
Ella saw how Julius’s mouth moaned as his gaze followed the departing woman. Monique has always been selfish and she hasn’t changed at all! Ella just shook as she felt the man next to her.
Monique had left earlier but Julius just stayed in his seat and seemed to have no intention of leaving. He felt sorry for Julius because it was not the man’s fault if his monthly salary was small. There are only women who are really ambitious and look money like Monique. If umasta is like a saint but the mood is even darker than charcoal!
An hour has passed when Julius stood up and decided to leave. Ella silently followed him but when the man entered a fast food restaurant, she decided to have a meal too. He also hadn’t eaten at Mang Inasal for a long time so he simply lined up next to Julius. Julius ordered chicken breasts and unli rice so he ordered the same but he added two special halo-halo. One for him, and one for the man. After paying and getting his number, he followed the man and he thanked him because the table he chose was the one in the corner part of the restaurant.
“Excuse me, can I share a table?” he asked Julius and he just nodded but didn’t look at him. Infairness, Julius also has a puff, not an obvious loser. When Ella sat down, she imitated the politician’s pose for five hundred pesos and just stared at the frowning man.
“Why?” Julius asked the woman he had just noticed following him. “Why are you following me?”
Ella sneezed because she was upset. By the way, he lost his mind that he was a policeman! He removed his hat and shades, and then smiled at the man. “Remember me?” She asked the man and his eyes widened when he recognized her.
“Baby!” Said Julius.
Her jaw dropped when Julius called her ‘baby’. “Just Ella, and not baby.” He said to the man.
“You said before, I’m Ella but you can just call me baby.”
“I just beat up your fellow bullies. So, how are you? You look sad, “she said, feeling close to the man. Julius suddenly laughed and Ella was shocked because it was nice to hear his crisp laugh. “What’s funny?” She asked.
“You. You are still asking questions, you heard what we talked about before, “said Julius.
“Which?” He maliciously denied that he had heard what the two were talking about.
“You didn’t really hear us?” Julius doubted even though the woman was wearing a headset.
“What are you talking about? I just listened to music there and drank milktea,”he lied, but their conversation was interrupted when their food arrived. “Boss, your halo-halo will come later.” He reminded the crew before he stood up to wash his hands.
“Okay,” he replied.
“I’ll just wash my hands, please keep an eye on my food and don’t interfere, okay?” He jokingly instructed the man.
“Aren’t you afraid of breaking your figure?” Julius asked the woman when she got back to the table.
“You can exercise later to burn calories,” Ella replied before she started eating. Usually the chicken oil of mang inasal is for the sauce but he is used to mixing it with rice.
“Maybe. Or I will wash my hands again and watch my food,”said Julius.
After they ate, they agreed to continue watching the movie because it was a pity that he bought the ticket. They went back to screenville and even though they were full of chicken and rice, Ella still bought popcorn.
“Can you still eat?” Julius asked the woman.
“Why not? Another, boring so if there is no popcorn while in the cinema. Let’s go, “he pulled Julius into the cinema without hesitation.
As for Julius he appreciated the presence of the strange woman because he didn’t think too much of Monique. He did not give malice to Ella’s approach to him because it was obvious from the woman’s face that she was not interested in him as a man. He thinks it’s just looking for someone to be with or talk to.
“Do you have a boyfriend?” Julius asked the woman when they were already seated inside the cinema but the show hadn’t started yet.
“There is, so if you plan to woo me, don’t continue because you basted on me.” Ella replied.
He knew it was forbidden to make noise inside the cinema but Julius couldn’t stop himself from laughing out loud. “I knew it. But where is he? I hope you don’t mind me asking, “Julius said.
“At work,” Ella replied.
“Ah, you’re just so bored that you went for a walk here.” Julius responded.
“Exactly!” Said Ella.
“Wouldn’t he be angry if he saw you with someone else?” He worried the woman might resent it because of him.
“Nope. He was very understanding of me, and he even ordered me to just take a walk first and entertain myself because he was still busy, “he lied but Julius would not know the truth.
“Hopefully all,” Julius replied jokingly, and Ella laughed.
“Oh there, we’re shhhh and the show will start. ” Said Ella.
After they watched the movie, he said goodbye to Julius who was going home. When he got home, he didn’t expect to see Damian in the garage, as if waiting for him to come home. “Good evening, Damian.” He greeted the man as he got out of the car.
“Good evening? Ella, where are you from? It Sofia like you often come home late, “Damian criticized the woman.
“Just imagine that I have overtime at work,” Ella replied.
“If only I could, that’s all, I know you’ve met a man!” Damian shouted.
Ella frowned as she was confused by what Damian had said. “Which man did you say?”
“I don’t know about you. Someone told me that you had a man with you at ICM earlier, “Damian’s voice rose.
“And then? What if I have someone with me? I’m single, and willing to mingle! ” He teased the man, but Damian didn’t like what he said and firmly grabbed his arm.
“Single but pregnant… with my child!”
