“You monster!” Kathryn yelled as she gave Ella a right slap across the face, and Ella staggered as she fell to the ground.
She held on to her cheek as she stared at Kathryn, shocked. She knew Kathryn would be mad when she heard what had been done to Daniel, but a slap? She had never expected that Kathryn would raise a hand to her.
Kathryn, on the other hand, wasn’t done yet. She had made a lot of sacrifices just to be with Daniel; she had even put the life of the one she loved at stake just so she could be with him and wouldn’t have to kill him, but what happened? This woman had the audacity to hypnotize him into thinking she was his lover.
She grabbed Ella by the hair as she looked into the room, making sure Daniel was fine before dragging her away to the terrace, and the moment they were on the terrace, she pushed Ella to the ground.
“Ah!” Ella screamed as she started to step back in fear. She swallowed as she stared at Kathryn, who had anger in her eyes. She looked like someone who was willing to commit a few murders because of how upset she was, and even though she had been doing her best to prepare for this moment for some time, it felt like it was all for nothing because, seeing the anger in Kathryn’s eyes, she knew she was done for.
Kathryn was more skilled than she was; all she had was the brains that would help her get answers to certain questions, but the skills, the strength, and every other thing a woman needed to be able to protect herself were what Kathryn had, and thinking about this, she was starting to regret ever doing that to Daniel.
Kathryn moved closer to her and gave her a kick in the stomach as she coughed out in pain, holding on to her stomach. She gasped. She wouldn’t regret what she had done to Daniel; what she was supposed to regret was telling Kathryn the truth. Maybe if she had just kept quiet and watched all the drama unfold, this wouldn’t be happening.
Kathryn was very upset, and she made sure Ella was at the receiving end of everything. Poor Ella; she couldn’t even fight for herself. She just stayed there, letting herself get beaten up as she cried out in pain, and Kathryn only hit her more.
“How could you? You don’t know what I had to do just so he could be alive, and then you wake up one morning, and the next thing you do is wipe his memory and make him think you… Before she finished speaking, she paused as she stared at her.
The moment she was about to speak, she recalled the words of the godfather. He had told her that he would take Daniel away from her. He had told her that she would long to be with him, and staring at Ella and recalling what she had said about hypnotizing him, she slapped the woman so hard across the face that she ended up falling to the ground, hitting her head against the table that held the vase, but it didn’t do any major damage to her.
She held on to her head as she stared at Ella. “He sent you here, didn’t he?” She asked as she grabbed her by the throat while she screamed in pain.
“Let go of me; what are you doing? You’re hurting me! Daniel!” Ella called out in pain, and the moment Kathryn heard her call out to Daniel, she let go of her as she stepped back. She clenched her fists. At this moment, Ella was on the winning team, especially as Kathryn didn’t have him on her side.
“You know who I’m talking about. The godfather. He sent you here, am I right?” She asked, and Ella stared at her, confused.
“Who is the godfather? What do you mean? Listen to me, madam. I’m here because I want to be with the man I love. You….” Before she could finish speaking, Kathryn grabbed her by the hair as she pulled on it hard, hurting her.
“You’ll pay for this, Ella. Trust me, you’ll pay for ever doing this to the man I love.” She said that, and with that, she rushed to the room she used to stay in.
She sat in the room, tears streaming down her cheeks as she buried her face in her hands. She sniffled as she wiped her tears slowly. What was this? All she wanted was to be with Daniel. Did she really save his life so he could just forget her and end up with another woman?
She just wanted Daniel back. She just wanted him to recall who she was so that their lives would go back to the way they had been. She sighed as she stared at the picture by the bedside. This was really strange. He had forgotten her and had been hypnotized, so how come pictures of the both of them were still lying around?
At that moment, it didn’t matter to her, and she couldn’t care less. She pulled the picture close to her heart as she started to sob, and while she cried, Ella walked into the room.
“You love him, don’t you?” She asked with a mocking smirk on her face, and Kathryn turned to her.
She wiped her tears slowly as she stared at her. “You think you’ve won, don’t you? You think that because he can’t remember who I am, you’re the winner of this? Trust me, Ella. That’s where you’re wrong, because until I make him remember me and accept me back, I won’t rest, and trust me, once that happens, you’ll see the real me.” She said that, and Ella chuckled.
“Are you challenging me?”
“Take it as whatever you want, but if challenge in your own context means winning the love of my life back, then yes, I am.” She said that, and Ella chuckled.
“Challenge accepted.”
