She stated this to her as she chuckled slightly. “You know, I’d argue with you if I wasn’t sick and the love of my life wasn’t in there, battling for his life, but now, I can’t. So please, move out of the way; I need to get to him.” She told her, and the woman chuckled.
“You don’t even know who I am, and you’re already this rude?” The woman asked her, and she took a deep breath as she stared at her.
“Who you are doesn’t matter. I want to be with Daniel; move out of the way now!” Kathryn told her and made her go into the room when the woman held on to her hand, which had already become more injured, causing her more pain.
“The name’s Ella. Ella Roxanne, and I’m going to be the only woman Daniel wants to see when he wakes up, so please, move out of the way; I don’t entertain guests like you who only know how to be rude.” Ella told her, and she chuckled as she dragged her out of the room.
“Listen to me, Ella. The last thing I want to do now is argue with you. The last thing I want to do right now is get into a fight with someone I don’t even know, so please, let’s just respect ourselves and behave. You’re the nurse here; you’re just here to tend to him and take care of him. Don’t push me to the place where you would regret what I would do to you.” Kathryn told her, and Ella chuckled.
“Just a nurse? Do you really think I’m just a nurse and nothing more?” She asked Kathryn, who couldn’t help but just stare at Daniel.
She didn’t want to be having this conversation with Ella because it was just making her even more upset and pissed off. All she wanted to do at that moment was go to Daniel and take care of him.
She wanted to tell him the truth-everything there was to know about her-but with the nurse in her way, she couldn’t, and she was slowly getting frustrated and more pissed. She didn’t want to get any more upset than she already was because, in just the blink of an eye, almost everyone she loved was slowly being lost, and she didn’t think she would be able to take it if this happened too.
“Ella, don’t you have better things to do? Don’t you have things like taking care of him and checking if he’s doing any better to do, or are you being paid to humiliate yourself by saying he is your lover?” She asked her as she kept staring at Daniel.
Seeing the love of her life that way broke her heart into many pieces. She couldn’t see him that way, and she had to because of the mistake she had made. At this point, she wanted to know the truth about how he had been stabbed, but above the truth of how this happened to him, all she wanted to know was how he was doing.
“You don’t get it, now do you, Kathryn? I’m not a nurse; I never was and never will be. I’m the woman who loves him.” She told Kathryn, who rolled her eyes as she stared at her.
She sighed as she folded her hand before the nurse. “Ella, I’m begging you; I’m not in the mood for this. You might be a drama queen, but I’m not. Go check up on him; he is in a coma, and you’re supposed to be with him at all times.” Kathryn said as she stared at Daniel, who just lay there, unable to move.
“Of course I’m supposed to be with him, but not as a nurse. I actually thought you were smarter, Kathryn, because even though you’re injured, you look smart. I thought you’d be, but you’re not, and that’s pretty unfortunate.” She said as she shook her head, and Kathryn rolled her eyes as she stared at her.
She took a deep breath. “What do you mean? Say what you want to my face; don’t try to beat around the bush.”
“Tell me, what kind of hospital discharges a patient who is in a coma, and with whom, only a nurse? Think about it, Kathryn. It’s ridiculous that you don’t see it. I told them I was his lover; I even showed them pictures of us together, and then they sent guards just to be sure he was fine. Don’t you get it?” She asked, and at that moment, Kathryn realized that the crazy woman had a point.
No hospital would actually release an unconscious patient, especially in a coma, to just a nurse. She must have really made them believe that she was Daniel’s lover for them to leave him to go with her.
She stood there; she didn’t trust this woman one bit, and how could she? If Martha could be part of the agency that wanted him dead, and she, the one who he had taken for a best friend, could have even thought at one time that she could kill him, who wouldn’t?
She parted her lips, about to speak, when she noticed something. It was Daniel, and his hands had slowly started to move. Ella had her back facing the room, and as such, she couldn’t see this, but she could, and she smiled.
Without even waiting for Ella to make out what was happening, she pushed her out of the way as she rushed into the room. “Daniel, Danny. Open your eyes, please. I’m here for you, and now I’m ready to tell you everything you’ve ever wanted to know. Please, open your eyes.” She pleaded with him as tears streamed down her cheeks, and slowly, his eyes started to open, and at that moment, the joy in her heart was unmatched.
She covered her mouth, shocked, as she stared at Daniel, who was slowly moving, and tears streamed down her cheeks. The moment his eyes came open, she started to kiss him.
“Daniel, I’m so sorry for everything. You’re alright now; I’m so happy. Thank you, Lord. Daniel. I’m so sorry, I… Before she could even finish speaking, Ella rushed in and dragged her away.
“Stay away from Daniel; he is mine.” She yelled, and Kathryn got up and pushed Ella away.
It didn’t take more than a single push before Ella fell to the ground, crying in pain, and Kathryn wiped her tears slowly as she gave him a kiss on the lips. “Daniel, I love you; I really did, and that’s why… Before she could even finish speaking, he spoke, and those words were the last words she ever wanted to hear her whole life.
“Who are you?” He asked her, and she stared at him, confused.
“Daniel, it’s me. Kathryn, Kathryn Wilson I’m your….”
“I’m sorry, I’ve never heard that name before, and I don’t know you.” He told her, and her hands dropped to his in shock.
