Michael left the Davis family’s villa and went back to the company. When he saw his assistant, he complained, “I’m starving. Quick, help me order some food.”
The assistant smiled and said, “Didn’t you go out for lunch? What happened?”
“I don’t want to talk about it. Order me lunch first. I want you to help me with something big later.”
The assistant immediately ordered some food for Michael. Later, his assistant brought him coffee when he delivered the meal.
Michael took a sip of coffee and suddenly burst into laughter. “Karma truly is a b*tch! Azalea, that b*tch, finally pays for what she did! I just feel sorry for that child! I thought he had problems with his IQ, but I didn’t expect him to have epilepsy. By the way, where did you find that child back then?”
“I found him randomly.” The assistant touched his head. “Who knew I had chosen such an unlucky one. Azalea must be very upset right now, isn’t she?”
“Yes, but it’s not only that. She doesn’t want to accept the truth either. I reckon that she will discuss this matter with Francis. Get ready to follow Azalea. Find out what she and Francis are plotting. I have a feeling that they will be heading to the hospital.”
“Why would they go there?” The assistant couldn’t figure it out.
“Don’t ask. Just arrange for someone to follow her. Remember not to alert them. You just need to collect some evidence.”
Michael had a sneer on his face. “That old b*stard Francis has taken the bait. We will let him know that he has been fooled in a few days. I’ll wrap things up and get everything ready. When the time comes, we will strike together, and Francis will not see us coming.”
That evening, Wayne went home to find that Azalea was not there. She had gone to Francis’ house. Later, Meadow immediately told Wayne about the child’s illness.
Wayne was stunned. “Epilepsy? How can this be? Where’s Michael?”
“I don’t know where he went.”
“Call him and tell him to come. I want to ask him about this. Where is Azalea?” Wayne asked again.
“She just went out. She must have gone to find Francis.”
Wayne frowned and called Michael. Michael’s impatient voice answered from the other end, “What?”
“Come home now.”
“I can’t. I’m busy with work.”
“Put it aside for now. Come home and tell me about the child.”
“What’s there to say? Hasn’t it been confirmed that he has epilepsy? So what if I tell you about it? Can you cure it?”
“We can’t just ignore it, can we? We are in a medically developed era. It can be treated somehow. Maybe I should send him abroad?”
“If you’re willing, then be my guest. Just don’t come to me. I don’t have the time.”
“What are you talking about? He is your child! How can you ignore his well-being? Michael, what you’re doing now isn’t right. No matter how much you dislike Azalea, the Davis family’s blood flows through the child. I will not let you ignore him like this!”
When Wayne finished speaking, he found that it was silent on the other end of the phone. Michael had actually hung up.
“B*stard! D*mn it, that little b*stard!” Wayne scolded angrily. Michael had never taken care of the child since he was born, and now, the child had become sick. Poor thing!
Wayne felt sorry for the child in his heart. He cursed a few more times before getting up to check on the child in the nursery.
Meanwhile, in the Gurney family, Azalea started to cry the moment she saw Francis.
Francis gave her some advice while Frederick helped to persuade Azalea too. She stopped crying as Francis took her to the study.
Francis closed the door and motioned for Azalea to sit down. He sighed and said, “I didn’t expect things to turn out like this. Azalea, we have to find another way to give birth to a child behind Michael’s back.”
Azalea did not quite understand what Francis meant. “What do you mean?”
“Now that things have come this far, I won’t hide it from you anymore. It was me who caused Michael’s infertility.”
“What? Why did you do that to him? He is the one I love most and my husband. How can you be so evil?” Azalea was shocked and angry.
“I had no choice. Michael treated you like crap and refused to marry you. I had to do something, so I caused him to be infertile through some means. This way, your child will be Michael’s only child. I never imagined that your child would be sick.”
“Why didn’t you discuss it with me first?” Azalea was so angry that she could not speak. Francis understood what she was feeling now. “I know you’re mad at me. Azalea, everything I’ve done is for your own good. I didn’t wish for things to turn out like this either. For the sake of your and your child’s happiness, we must find another way.”
Azalea was not a fool. Therefore, of course, she would not completely believe Francis’ words. Francis must have done this to take complete control of Michael and the Davis family. He had ignored her happiness for his own purpose. How evil!

This was true. Michael certainly would not think that Francis would be so vicious to him, so Francis’ idea was feasible. Francis knew that she would not refuse when he saw Azalea’s expression, so he continued, “I am your father. I would never hurt you. We can’t delay this matter and have to do it immediately. It will be better for us this way. I have already thought of a way for you to get Michael in bed. I got someone to get me a kind of drug. Let Michael take them when you have the chance. If you succeed, I have already arranged for doctors to perform the IVF. They are all our people. There will be no mistakes.”
Francis had already calculated and sorted out everything he could do. Azalea knew that there was no turning back for her. “There’s no need for the drug. He will grow suspicious of me and might even hate me for it.”
