Frederick called the doctor for an appointment while Azalea immediately called Meadow to tell her that she would be back late. Then, she got in the car with Francis and rushed to the hospital.
The doctor gave Azalea an examination, while Francis and Frederick waited outside. Half an hour later, the doctor who examined Azalea opened the door and came out.
Francis immediately stepped forward and asked, “How is she? Can you do it?”
The doctor shook his head. “There’s no need to. She’s already pregnant! There’s no need for it!”
“What?” Francis and Frederick looked at each other. Neither of them could believe the doctor’s words. “Are you sure?”
“I’m sure! I’ve been a gynecologist for many years, and I would never mistake a pregnancy. But in order to be sure, I just gave her a pregnancy test, and the results showed that she was indeed pregnant too.”
“This is…” Francis felt that it was unbelievable. Wasn’t Michael infertile? He swallowed his question and said, “Please check again carefully. I want a confirmed result! This is not a small matter. You can’t make a mistake.”
The doctor nodded and said, “Alright, let’s do a blood test.”
The blood test came out an hour later, and it was confirmed that Azalea was indeed pregnant.
Later, Francis, Frederick, and Azalea left the hospital together. After getting in the car, Francis asked Frederick, “What’s going on? How could Michael still be able to have a baby?”
“Perhaps he didn’t drink the wine?” Frederick felt that this was the only possibility. “If that’s the case, then it can be considered a good thing. At the very least, we don’t have to spend so much effort on an IVF.”
Francis also felt that it was not a bad thing, so he told Azalea, “You should pay more attention to your health since you are pregnant now. Don’t tell others about your pregnancy first. We will find a way to let the Davis family know tomorrow.”
Azalea agreed naturally as this was a pleasant surprise to her. Originally, she was very depressed because of the child’s illness, but now, the frustration was gone. She did not wait any longer and returned to the Davis family immediately.
She didn’t know that what had happened in the hospital tonight had been witnessed by someone that Michael’s assistant had arranged. The assistant immediately told Michael the situation.
Hearing that Azalea was pregnant, Michael laughed and said, “What a coincidence! The people you hire are truly capable. Things are getting more interesting now that Azalea is pregnant!”
The assistant asked him, “What should we do next?”
“Get someone to spread the news about the child’s illness. The more people talking about it, the better! Also, prepare the documents on Azalea seducing men, and then release it when I give the order.”
The assistant nodded and said, “Okay, I’ll do it right away!”
Meanwhile, in Leonard’s villa, Abbie was taking a shower for Emma with the nanny in the bathroom.
Emma was very happy. She chuckled giddily as she played with a rubber duck.
Abbie applied some shower gel over her body. When Emma saw the bubbles, she reached out to grab them happily. She was having a lot of fun. The nanny laughed and said when she saw this, “Miss Emma has gotten taller and her weight has increased recently.”
“Yes.” Abbie reached out and rubbed Emma’s face. “My little Emma is getting fatter and fatter. Will she become a little fat pig?”
“This is normal baby fat. Miss Emma has fair skin and her features are very beautiful. She must be a great beauty when she grows up. I have never seen such a beautiful girl.”
Abbie pursed his lips into a smile. Emma had inherited all of her and Michael’s strengths. It wasn’t an exaggeration to say that she would definitely be a great beauty when she grew up.
Thinking of Michael, the smile on Abbie’s face faded.
This afternoon, Azalea had held the child in her arms and showed him off to her. If it weren’t for the child’s sudden attack, she would have taught Azalea a lesson.
Michael and Azalea had hurried to send the child to the hospital back then. Leonard had arranged for someone to find out what was wrong. Later, he came back to report that the child had epilepsy.
He also said that both Michael and Azalea were very dispirited. When Abbie heard that the child had epilepsy, she felt a great deal of sympathy for him.
Although she hated Michael and Azalea, the child was innocent. Abbie didn’t want anything to happen to the child.
Leonard said that Michael’s attitude was very bad after knowing that the child had epilepsy. He was such a young child, yet his biological father was actually treating him like this. Michael was really cruel!
Azalea was cunning, vicious, and shameless too. Michael and Azalea were really a good match!
Abbie was glad that she had seen this side of Michael and planned to no longer have anything to do with him.
After helping Emma take her shower, she wiped her body with a towel. Emma was unhappy about it as she wanted to continue playing in the water, but after coaxing her for quite some time, she was obedient as Abbie dressed her.
Emma was babbling while holding a toy in her pink cot, refusing to sleep. Abbie accompanied by her side and hummed a song gently.
Leonard watched from outside the door for a while. Under the light, Abbie’s features were highlighted as they complimented her beauty. He couldn’t help but admire her.
Leonard did not disturb Abbie and turned to leave. When he went downstairs, his assistant came in from outside.
Leonard waved at his assistant. “Follow me.”
The assistant followed Leonard to the study and closed the door. Leonard lowered his voice and said, “I don’t want to endure it anymore!”
The assistant looked at Leonard in confusion. Leonard continued to whisper, “I have to think of a way to make Abbie mine.”
“What do you wish to do, Mr. Floyd?”
“It’s not easy to do it openly. I want to do something in secret. Do you still have that drug?”
“It won’t be good if Miss Clark knows about this, will it?” The assistant reminded him. “We’re not overseas now, and she’s not any ordinary woman. If she finds out about your intentions, it’ll affect your relationship with her.”
“I know. We just have to cut down on the dosage. I can’t stand to only gawk at such a beautiful woman and not have my hands on her. Besides, she will listen to me more after she becomes mine. Women are the same. Do you remember Evelyn? She stuck to me for days after we slept together and became even bolder!”
“Evelyn and Miss Clark are not the same. Besides, Evelyn was bold only because she had thought that you were William.”
When the assistant finished reminding him, he noticed Leonard’s gloomy expression and immediately shut up. What Leonard cared about the most was that he wasn’t as good as William. The assistant was toying with death as he had dared to say such things to Leonard. He immediately changed the subject. “Mr. Floyd, I still have some of the drug left. Do you want to use it now?”
“Use it now. Add a small amount of it to some red wine. I’ll treat her to a drink later and see if it works.”
The assistant immediately went to prepare it. He poured a little powder into the red wine and gave it to Leonard.
Leonard sat on the sofa in the living room and waited for Abbie. After waiting for about half an hour, Abbie came downstairs after putting Emma to sleep.
Leonard stood up with a big smile on his face. “Is Emma asleep?”
“Yes!” Abbie nodded.
“Come and have a drink!” Leonard opened a bottle of red wine in front of Abbie, poured a glass, and handed it to her.
