Chapter 1360 No Evidence

Book:That Stranger Lying Beside Me Published:2024-6-1

“Dead?” Josephine shivered because she did not expect that she would accidentally kill Abbie.
After all, Abbie was not someone she could provoke. Josephine knew very well that she would be the primary suspect if Abbie was killed.
After all, she had sent so many messages to Abbie and she was the one who initiated the meetup. She could not escape when the evidence was so clear. “What… what should I do? Miss Clark! What should I do?”
“I don’t know either and I’m just suspecting. Either way, I didn’t see Abbie. The ocean breeze tonight is extremely strong and the waves are so violent. My body is already drenched, so there isn’t much of a chance for Abbie to survive after falling into the sea.”
“Let’s go to the beach to find her. Maybe she was just knocked out by the waves and she has been brought ashore.” Josephine was in a panic.
“Do you think I’ll standby and watch as Abbie dies? No matter what, her life is precious as well. To tell you the truth, I searched the entire area when I went there, but I didn’t find any trace of her.”
Azalea looked at Josephine and sighed. “I just asked you to tell her a story and provoke her to break up with Michael. I didn’t ask you to push her into the sea. It will be troublesome if Abbie dies!”
Josephine was in a state of panic because Azalea was implying that she was the murderer. “Miss Clark, I really didn’t mean to do that at all. Please help me. You have to help me!”
“How do you want me to help you? The Clark family will definitely avenge Abbie if she dies. You know how Richard is, so I really can’t help you.”
“Why can’t you? Miss Clark, I did what you asked me to do. I have nothing against Abbie at all and I met her because of you. You were the one who asked me to provoke her because you wanted to be with Michael. At the end of the day, you were the one who ordered me to do all these things and you’ll be in trouble as well if you don’t help me.”
Josephine panicking so badly that she lost all of her rationality and began to threaten Azalea.
“Why are you panicking? Did I say I wouldn’t help you? We’re both in this together and I can’t run away either if something happens to Abbie. I’m just trying to think of a way to solve this. Let me figure it out first.”
Josephine knew that it was impossible for Azalea to protect her. In order to survive, she had to escape as soon as possible. “Miss Clark, the only way now is to run away. Give me the rest of the money. I will leave this place immediately and never come back.”
“I know and I think that’s the best way as well. I’ll send you to the airport first and I’ll give you the money there.”
Josephine felt a little relieved when she heard Azalea’s words. The car then sped up and went straight to the airport.
Azalea handed Josephine a bottle of water as she drove. “Don’t be nervous. Drink some water first! Don’t worry, I will send you to the airport, but you can never come back to this place.”
“I know. I won’t come back again as long as I can leave this place. I will never return to this place for the rest of my life!”
Josephine took the bottle and opened it to take a sip of water while Azalea stared at her. The smile on her face deepened as she watched Josephine drink the water.
Josephine felt that something was strange with Azalea, so she raised her hand to cover her mouth as she coughed. “Miss Clark, will you end up badly because of this matter?”
“No!” Azalea replied with certainty.
Josephine asked tentatively, “The Clark family will definitely suspect you if something happens to Abbie. If they do something to you, you…”
Azalea’s eyes flashed with contempt. “They wouldn’t dare! I have the support of Wayne and Meadow now! Right, let me tell you something else. I’m also the eldest daughter of the Floyd family. The Clark family wouldn’t dare to do anything to me without any evidence.”
“If that’s the case, then I’m relieved!” Josephine suddenly rubbed her forehead. “I feel a little dizzy and I’m so sleepy!”
“You can sleep for a while. I’ll wake you up at the airport!”
Josephine nodded and closed her eyes before she immediately fell asleep. Azalea observed Josephine while she drove. When she saw that Josephine was sleeping like a log, she wore a contemptuous smile on her face and spat, “Fool!”
The car soon arrived at the beach. Azalea stopped the car and went around it to open the passenger seat. Then, she dragged Josephine, who was unconscious, out of the car.
She dragged Josephine to the beach. The morning sea breeze was whistling as the waves washed ashore. Azalea threw Josephine into the sea and watched as the sea swallowed her body.
As Josephine’s figure gradually disappeared from the surface, Azalea clapped her hands and returned to the car.
The bodies of Abbie and Josephine should be discovered tomorrow. At that time, there would be no witness and no one would think that this was murder. They would only think that this was an accident.
So what if the Clark family guessed that Abbie’s death had something to do with?
Josephine was the one who wanted to meet up with Abbie and both of them were dead. Since there was no witness around, how could the Clark family have any reason to hurt Azalea?
She would marry Michael with the backing of the Floyd family and become the future daughter-in-law of the Davis family.
She would live a happy life and give birth to Michael’s children. No one would remember what had happened to Abbie. Everything was going to be so perfect!
Azalea happily went home and went straight to the bathroom to take a shower after entering her room. After that, she opened her bag and was about to take her phone when she realized that the money she had prepared in her bag was gone.
She pretended to prepare the money for Josephine and she didn’t dare to transfer the funds in her bank account for fear of being discovered. She deliberately prepared the whole sum in cash. She thought that she could get all her money back after Josephine died, but the money disappeared. What was going on?
Who took away the money she placed in her bad?
Azalea frowned and thought for a long time, but she couldn’t figure it out because only two of them were alone in the car. Josephine was unconscious before she was dragged out of the car and thrown into the sea, so she shouldn’t have taken the cash.
Who could it be?
Was there someone else keeping an eye on her? If that was the case, it would be terrible!
Abbie didn’t come home after taking a walk and she didn’t answer Helen’s calls either. She immediately arranged for the servants to look for Abbie in the garden, but they couldn’t find her. Finally, they found that the back door of the garden was left ajar and Abbie had left the house through the back.
What would Abbie do after leaving the house so late at night? Was she going to see Michael?
Helen was upset and she was ready to call Michael to ask about Abbie’s whereabouts. At this time, she suddenly received a message from Abbie, who told her not to worry because she had to deal with something.
Helen was furious. Abbie definitely didn’t want to come home because she was with Michael.
She angrily replied to the message and asked Abbie to come back immediately, but there was no reply at all after that.
Helen had no choice since Abbie didn’t come back. She thought that Abbie was with Michael, so she angrily scolded Michael before she went back to her room to rest.
