Lincoln’s car stopped at the entrance of Wolf Group Hotel. He still felt upset after losing the bet today when he got out of the car and entered the hotel.

Lincoln wanted to know if Evelyn and William were partners, so he asked her with a big smile, “May I buy a lovely lady like you a cup of coffee?”

The two of them went to the coffee shop and ordered two cups of coffee. Evelyn asked impatiently, “Are you William’s friend?”
“We’re somewhat friends. What about you? What’s your relationship with him?”
“We’re also friends!” Evelyn replied. “We met overseas many years ago and very close.”
If Evelyn denied her relationship with William, Lincoln would definitely believe that Evelyn was on William’s side. However, Lincoln began to have doubts when Evelyn said that she was friends with William.

“Yes, I was his girlfriend. We had a good relationship and we almost got married.” Evelyn had a sad expression on her face. “I fell ill and stayed overseas for a year, but he was already married when I came back.”
“That’s so sad and I feel sorry for you, but you should let it go since William is already married.” Lincoln looked at Evelyn with sympathy. It turned out that this woman was his ex-girlfriend, so it was no wonder William wanted to avoid her.
“I’m going to let him go. I’m going abroad tomorrow, but I want to see him one last time. Can you help me?”
“Well… William has a strange temper, so I can’t help you if he doesn’t want to see you. Besides, he is already married. I don’t think it’s good for you to see him.”
“But I feel so sad! Isn’t it alright for me to see him once?” Evelyn looked upset. “How about this? Give me his phone number and I’ll call him. I’ll give up if he doesn’t want to see me.”
Lincoln hesitated and Evelyn looked like she was about to cry. “I beg you!”
Lincoln was a little scared when he saw her tear up. “Okay, I’ll give you his phone number.”
Michael went to the company early in the morning and he was so busy with countless phone calls. He had asked for help from everyone he knew and did everything he could think of, but there was still no turning point for the company.
He leaned on the chair and sighed. Then, he closed his eyes and reached out to pinch his eyebrows. It seemed that there was only one way.
However, he did not know if Wayne could accept it. This company was founded by Wayne and it was built with his painstaking efforts. Would something happen to Wayne if they declared bankruptcy like this?

“Of course not! I’m happy to see you.” Michael got up and led Abbie to sit down. She handed the food to Michael and said, “I prepared it for you. Have you eaten yet?”
“I was so busy that I’ve forgotten to eat. Thank you!”
Abbie’s eyes were full of distress when she saw Michael wolf down the food she brought. “You look very tired. Were you working all this time?”
“Yes, there are a lot of things to do in the company and the situation is not very good. I think that I’ll be busy for a period of time.”
“I feel so upset when I see you like this. I think you should give up if there is no hope for the company. It’s alright if we can’t be wealthy and I don’t mind being in the middle-class.”
“Yes, that’s what I think as well, but Grandpa and my parents can’t accept it. I just have to do everything I can to make the situation slightly better.” Michael sighed. “Well, when the Davis family goes bankrupt in the future, I will have nothing but my law degree. You have to think about it carefully, so please don’t leave me because I’m poor.”
“How much can you earn in a year? I have to see if you can support my living expenses.” Abbie asked vaguely.
Michael counted with his fingers. “Probably 200 thousand dollars?”

“Thank you!” Michael reached out to hold Abbie’s hand. Their eyes met and their gazes were full of affection.
Meanwhile, Wayne’s assistant was calling him in her office outside. “Sir, Miss Clark is here.”
Wayne was very angry when he heard that Abbie had come over. “What are you doing? How can you let her in and why didn’t you let the security guards stop her?”
“I asked someone to stop her, but she said that she’ll call Mr. Michael out if we don’t let him in. Mr. Michael will probably come back late if he goes out with her, so it’s better for them to meet in the company. She said that I’ll be able to remind him to do his work as well.”
The assistant’s words made sense, so Wayne sighed and hung up the phone. Then, he called Meadow after thinking for a while. “Have you called Helen yet?”
“I did. I slandered and insulted Abbie so viciously on that phone. Helen was so angry that she stammered.”
“What’s going on? Why did Abbie meet Michael again? Moreover, she went to the company to find Michael.
