Chapter 1283 Learn Some Manners

Book:That Stranger Lying Beside Me Published:2024-6-1

Wayne called Callum after he gave Meadow some orders. “Mr. Floyd, I need your help with something.”
Callum was not very enthusiastic about the cooperation with Wayne before this, but he changed his mind when he knew that Azalea had done something so disgusting.
He replied politely, “You’re being too polite with me. You can just tell me what you need.”
“Alright then, I want to take the next step with Michael and Azalea’s matter, so I hope you can find some time to meet Michael.”
“No problem. You can decide the time and tell me the details.”
Wayne was relieved when Callum readily agreed to his plan. He did not intend to fall out with the Clark family, but he had no choice but to choose sides.
The Floyd family had William’s support while the Saunders family was backing William up as well. Hence, the Floyd family was much better off than the Clark Family, who had always stood alone. Therefore, he had no choice but to go aginst the Clark Family. Meadow was good at using underhanded means, so it was best to handle these things to her.
Meadow immediately called Helen again when she received Wayne’s permission. As usual, she planned to hurl countless insults to humiliate the Clark family. Meadow was just waiting for the opportunity to agitate Helen again.
Of course, Meadow would not let Wayne down and called Helen immediately. Helen did not answer when she saw Meadow’s call, so the latter sent a message.
“Helen, Abbie has gone to our company to look for Michael again today and she even brought food for him. I don’t know what to say. Doesn’t she have her own pride? What is she planning to achieve by shamelessly pestering Michael? Helen, I’ve already made it very clear to you. No one in my family likes Miss Clark, so she should stop embarrassing herself. I hope that you can manage your daughter well for the sake of her own reputation. I’m begging you!”
Helen was so angry that she had to catch her breath when she saw Meadow’s message. She had been humiliated by Meadow several times because of Abbie and she could no longer endure it. She had to find a way to solve this problem.
Helen sent a message to Richard after she paced around the house.
Richard was reading some documents when he heard his phone ring. After he saw the message sent by his mother, he flew into a rage and flipped over the documents on the table.
His assistant carefully pushed open the door when she heard the noise. She was shocked when she saw the mess on the floor. “Mr. Clark! This…”
Richard’s expression was extremely dark and his voice was bone-chilling. “Book a ticket immediately to send my mother and sister overseas for a vacation.”
“Alright.” The assistant hurried out to carry out her task while Richard got up and walked around the room a few times. He suppressed his anger and called Helen. “Mom!”
“Have you seen the message?” asked Helen.
“Yes! Mom, you’ve been wronged!”
“What are your plans so far? I want to hear your opinion.”
“I’ve already arranged for someone to book two flight tickets. I want you to take Abbie out of the country immediately.”
“Will she even listen to us? Richard, are you overthinking this situation?”
“It doesn’t matter if she refuses. You can go first and she’ll definitely fly over to you soon.”
“What do you mean? Explain it to me now because I’m too angry to think straight. Tell me why you want to do this.”
“Mom, we need to force Abbie to break up with Michael now. First, you need to call Abbie and ask her to go on a vacation with you to relax. You need to see how she reacts to that first. We don’t have to think of another way if she is willing to go out with you, but you can leave first if she’s adamant about staying.”
Helen asked suspiciously, “Will you be able to get Abbie to come when I get there?”
“More or less! You can go abroad first and make a phone call to tell me that you’ve hurt yourself. Dad and I won’t be able to go because we’re busy with the company. Only Abbie is free at the moment, so you can ask her to accompany you when the time comes. We can definitely separate them when the time comes.”
“Okay, let’s do it!” Helen immediately agreed. “I’ll get someone to prepare the luggage. But Richard, your plan will only keep them apart temporarily. You have to find a way to let Abbie give up.”
“I’ll think of another way. You can call Abbie first and pay attention to your tone.”
When Abbie saw that Michael had eaten all the food she brought, she was in a good mood as she stood behind him to massage his shoulders.
Helen called her less than 10 minutes after that. “Abbie, I want to go abroad to relax. Will you go with me?”
“I don’t have time and I have work to do. Mom, why don’t you ask Auntie to accompany you.” Abbie refused directly.
“Really? Okay, then I’ll go alone. Tell me what you want I’ll buy it for you.”
“I don’t want anything at the moment. Thank you, mom!”
Helen hung up the phone and ordered her servants, “Take me to the airport!”
Azalea washed up and went downstairs after she returned to her room. She knew that the only thing she could do now was to please Deborah, so she went to the kitchen to make a fruit salad for Deborah and brought it to her room.
Deborah was making a phone call when Azalea entered the room, but Deborah didn’t say anything when she saw Azalea coming in. She continued her conversation, “Valeria, are you awake? I need your help with something.”
Was Deborah calling Valeria? Deborah was using such a gentle tone when she spoke to Valeria and she even had a warm smile on her face. Azalea was filled with jealousy when she saw this.
She walked up to Deborah with the fruit salad in her hands. “Grandma, please try the fruit salad I just made.”
Deborah nodded and gestured for Azalea to sit down. Then, Azalea sat down obediently and placed the salad on the tea table in front of Deborah. Valeria’s voice came from the other end of the phone. “Grandma, what can I do for you?”
“I want you to find a famous etiquette teacher to let your cousin learn how to be a proper lady.”
Azalea’s heart skipped a beat when she heard Deborah’s words. It seemed that Deborah wasn’t joking during lunch and Azalea really had to fulfil her promise this time. How annoying!
Valeria felt unwilling when she heard that Deborah was looking for a teacher to help Azalea learn etiquette. However, she could not refuse Deborah. “I’ll ask around.”
“Valeria, your cousin has been used to loitering around outside and no one has taught her these things before. I want you to look for a strict teacher for her. For the sake of the Floyd family, you must help her with this matter.”
Valeria rolled her eyes when she heard this. It was a good way to deal with Azalea by placing her under a strict teacher. She immediately changed her mind and said, “Grandma, don’t worry. I will do my best to find a teacher for her, so please wait for my good news.”
