William’s car stopped in front of Lucian’s house at half-past eleven in the morning.
Lucian was pushed out of the house by a guard. “Hello, William! Please come in!”
William nodded indifferently when he was welcomed into the house and Lucian said respectfully, “Please have a seat, William! Would you like some tea?”
“There’s no need for that. Let’s get down to business!” William sat down on the sofa.
Lucian looked at her nurse and said, “You can leave first, I have something to say to William.”
Lucian lowered her head and she didn’t dare to look at William when the nurse left. “William, I have a few things to tell you today and the first thing is about what I did. I’m not a good person. I know Gurmisran and I even worked with him before. There’s a big shot behind Gurmisran, but I don’t know who he is at present. He’s very mysterious and he had a lot of schemes. Raelyn and Declan were his accomplices as well. I’m afraid that he will hurt you…”
“What’s the second thing?” William interrupted Lucian.
Lucian thought that William would show interest in what she had told him, but his reaction was beyond her expectations. Did William know that she was colluding with Gurmisran all along?
Lucian was stunned for a moment before she said, “The second thing is about Braelynn. She wasn’t picked up by Lamont. I exchanged her with an abandoned baby in the hospital and deliberately let Lamont pick her up by the roadside. I always thought that she was the child of the big shot behind Gurmisran, but I found out that she’s not.”
Lucian thought this news was enough to shock William, but he said lightly instead, “Of course not, because Braelynn is the daughter of Callum and Emily. She’s my cousin!”
Lucian was extremely surprised. “Are you sure Braelynn is part of the Floyd family?”
“Of course!”
“This… I’m sorry!”
“You don’t have to be sorry! Although you have done some unbearable things, everyone will make mistakes. No one can guarantee that they will take the wrong path in their life. Although your initial intention of exchanging Braelynn was evil, you saved her in the end. If you hadn’t done that she would have been killed by Gurmisran! You didn’t do anything bad at all.”
“William, I feel so ashamed!” Lucian was extremely guilty.
“I don’t mean to insult you. I’m very grateful for what happened to Braelynn and the Floyd family would also like to thank you as well.”
William’s attitude towards her was neutral. He didn’t dislike her, nor did he like her. Hence, Lucian could not understand him at all
Since William knew so many things, it was obvious that he about everything that she had done before.
She still thought that she was very smart for taking the initiative to explain to William and she could gain his favour from this. Now it seemed that the only reason why William did not teach her a lesson was that she had saved Braelynn’s life after she swapped the babies that year.
William had let her off because of this!
Lucian gave a wry smile. “I always thought that I was very smart, but I’ve realized how foolish I am. Do you know the whole truth?”
“Almost! I know who that big shot is, and I know that you colluded with Devon and Gurmisran. I even know that you schemed against my mother-in-law. I don’t know everything you’ve done, but I found out about most of it. The reason why I left you alone was that you accidentally saved Braelynn’s life! Even if I know that your purpose wasn’t pure, I didn’t intend to go after you because Braelynn is still alive!”
William’s straightforward words made Lucian blush. “William, can you not tell Braelynn that I swapped her? I admit that I had ill intentions at that time and I know that I’m shameless, but I want to maintain some of my dignity in front of her.”
“Don’t worry. I will never tell her that you swapped her with another child because it’s for her own good as well.”
“Thank you, William!” Lucian was grateful to William for saving her dignity “William, I have something to tell you. It’s about your mother. Although Raelyn orders someone to kill her, the perpetrator has always been Gurmisran and the mysterious figure behind him. I hope you can find them and bring them to justice!”
William nodded. “Do you have anything else to say?”
“No!” Lucian shook her head, so William got up and left. When he reached the door, Lucian suddenly said, “Thank you, William, for saving my life! I will be a good person from now on!”
William nodded and strode away.
He called Valeria when he entered his car. “Dear, are you free tonight?”
“Of course, when have I ever been busy?”
“Alright, I want you to go to the wolf Group tonight to have dinner with Braelynn and Grandpa.”
“What’s the matter?” Valeria asked.
“I told grandpa about Braelynn’s identity and he wants to see her.”
“Is that so? Did you tell Braelynn about her identity?”
“No, I am going to see her now and I’m sure she’s strong enough to accept it.”
“Do you need my help? I’m closer to Braelynn, maybe it’ll be better if I told her the truth instead.”
“Forget it. It’s not convenient for you because you’re pregnant now. I can go and see Braelynn myself.” However, Fandrey called him as they were talking. “William, can I see my granddaughter today?”
“I’m making arrangements and I’ll call you after I meet Braelynn!”
“Okay, explain everything to her properly first and I’ll see her at night. Speaking of which, I have to apologize to her.” Fandrey felt very guilty. If he had known that this would happen, he shouldn’t have treated Braelynn that way at the beginning. If he had treated her better, it would be much easier for him to reconcile with her.
William frowned when he hung up and pondered. Bobby glanced at William through the rearview mirror. “Sir, do you think Ms. Saunders will accept the Floyd family?”
“Braelynn is so kind. Grandpa and Grandma are not evil people as well, so she would definitely accept them.”
“Then why do you look so worried?”
“It’s nothing, I’m just trying to figure out how to explain this to Braelynns.” William sighed. “The matter between Azalea and Angel has not been settled yet, so I have to trouble Braelynn for a few more days. In fact, I wanted to tell Braelynn when the matter is completely solved. That way, the Floyd family can openly announce her return to the family. However, I feel so sorry that she has to endure everything for the time being.”
“It’s not up to you to decide. Ms. Saunders is a righteous person and I’m sure she will understand.”
While they were talking, the car stopped at the place where William had planned to meet Braelynn.
Braelynn had already ordered the dishes when William got out of the car and entered the private room. She grinned and said when she saw William come in, “William, I have already ordered your favourite dishes.”
