After Abbie nodded and went to the sofa to sit down, she immediately reached out to grab the wine glass and continued to drink. Richard did not know if Abbie had heard what he had said just now and looked at her carefully. Abbie took a sip of wine and looked at him. “Why are you staring at me?”
“It’s nothing!” Richard gave a hollow laugh.
“You should go out with Braelynn more. Why did you stop? By the way, give me your mobile phone.”
“What for?”
“I wanna play a game. My phone is dead!”
“You’re really something. You’re actually in the mood to play games even when you’re out here.” Richard muttered and threw his phone to Abbie. She unlocked the password skillfully and Richard’s word kept replaying in her head. Did she lose her memory?
Was this true? Or did Richard make this up to lie to Braelynn? It must be a lie!
Abbie scrolled Richard’s phone as she thought about this. She inadvertently opened Richard’s WhatsApp and suddenly saw that he had added Angel.
Angel’s profile picture was a picture of herself and Abbie recognized her at a glance.
“Why would Richard add such a bitch like Angel?” Abbie thought and clicked on Angel’s account to see who she followed.
Angel posted an Instagram story to her followers half an hour ago and she was wearing silk pyjamas that were paper-thin. She pouted her red lips and winked at the camera with a playful expression.
Abbie was shocked. Was Angel crazy?
Usually, the daughters of rich families would not post provocative pictures like this. Even if they did this, they would certainly block irrelevant people from viewing the picture, right?
Angel actually posted it without blocking Richard. She must have been drunk when she did this.
Abbie thought and laughed in her heart, “Richard, Braelynn, look at this, Angel… hahaha! Has she gone crazy? How can she post something like this?”
Richard and Braelynn heard Abbie’s words and looked over. Braelynn burst into laughter when she saw Angel’s picture. “Is the daughter of the Floyd family trying to sell herself?”
“That’s right, is she crazy? She actually took such pictures in the middle of the night. Oh, she’s really disgusting. She’s half-naked! Richard, when did you add her? Why don’t you mute her right away?” Abbie immediately muted Angel on Richard’s account.
It was disgusting to even think about it. “Richard, why don’t you block her?”
“Come on, I added her for the sake of Mr. Floyd. I won’t even interact with her.” Richard answered indifferently.
Abbie immediately blocked Angel and began to play her games on the phone.
Angel didn’t know that she was blacklisted by Richard. The photos in her pyjamas were naturally not taken when she was drunk, but they were targeted at Richard and she blocked everyone except for him.
Angel thought that the photo she took was seductive, and she looked absolutely beautiful. What would Richard think if he saw it? Would he like it?
Would he be attracted to her?
Angel lay in bed and kept browsing her Instagram, but Richard didn’t react to her story at all even though it was already late. She fell asleep feeling extremely disappointed.
Her eyebags were obvious when she got up in the morning.
By the time she washed up and went downstairs, her grandparents and Callum were eating breakfast in the dining room. When they saw Angel coming down, Fandrey glanced at her and lowered his head to continue eating breakfast. Deborah also looked up at Angel. “Why are your dark circles so heavy? Didn’t you sleep well last night?”
“Yeah, I’m worried about the company bidding and my first job.” Angel didn’t cover up her dark circles in hopes that Fandrey and Callum would pity her.
Fandrey widened his eyes when he heard this. “You can’t sleep over such a small matter? If you can’t do it, then don’t take the job. I’ll let someone else do it.”
“No… I don’t mean that… I will get used to it.” Angel immediately explained.
Deborah glanced at Fandrey. She felt that his attitude towards Angel recently was strangely cold, so she smiled and tried to ease the situation. “Isn’t it normal to be worried about not being able to do a good job? She had never done such a thing before, but she will slowly get used to it if you give her time.”
Angel immediately promised, “Yes! You’re right, I will adapt to the job slowly in the future!”
The corners of Fandrey’s mouth twitched. Then, he put down his tableware and swept his gaze across the servants standing beside him. “Why haven’t I seen Madelyn?”
Why did Fandrey keep paying attention to Madelyn when he usually didn’t care about his family’s matters? Madelyn ate her breakfast in the dining room every day. Fandrey probably asked casually because he thought about her.
Angel thought while she lowered her head to eat breakfast and secretly glanced at Deborah.
Deborah had already decided to fire Madelyn and she would talk to Fandrey about it. Since Fandrey had always been obedient to her, there shouldn’t be any problems.
Sure enough, an expression of disgust appeared on Deborah’s face when Fandrey asked about Madelyn. “Something happened to Madelyn last night and she’s in the hospital now.”
Callum didn’t know the truth and asked in confusion, “What happened?”
“I don’t want to talk about it. The people who know should explain what happened.” Deborah looked at the servant standing next to her.
A servant who went to the hospital last night immediately said, “Madelyn secretly went out last night and she had an affair with a married man. She was beaten after she was caught, and she is now hospitalized.”
“Ah… This…” Callum was shocked. How could Madelyn do such a thing?
Fandrey must be extremely disgusted by Madelyn’s evil deed when he heard this, so it was inevitable that Madelyn was driven out. Angel took a sip of milk at ease.
However, Fandrey unexpectedly said, “Oh, really? Isn’t this too much? Is there proof?”
Angel thought that Fandrey would ignore this matter, but she didn’t expect him to ask for evidence and she felt a little uneasy.
The maid answered immediately, “Yes, someone took a picture of her on the scene. She and the man hugged and kissed on the street. Later, the man’s wife came with a few people to fight. At that time, several people beat Madelyn up. Her nose was broken and her teeth were knocked out. It was a terrible scene.”
“How can it be serious? Where are the culprits now?” Fandrey asked again.
“I don’t know… It seems… it seems that they ran away after beating Madelyn up. I heard that some passers-by called the emergency number to help Madelyn.”
“How can there be such a thing? We’re living in a society ruled by law, so how can those people be free after they injured someone so badly?” Fandrey asked coldly.
Angel started to panic when she saw that Fandrey’s expression was starting to change. Her grandfather wouldn’t interfere in Madelyn’s matters, would he?
