William and Valeria sent Deborah back to the hotel before making their way towards the Howard family’s old estate.
Valeria was extremely tired and leaned against his arms before closing her eyes to have a rest. He put his hand on her belly and began caressing it gently.
The children in her stomach were growing up and became increasingly active. They would strike from different directions at random times. William grinned happily upon feeling their movements.
Valeria opened her eyes and glanced at him. “Why are you smiling like an idiot? Have you gone mad?”
“No, I am just mesmerized by our babies. Honey, what do you think they are currently doing? Are they exercising now? Can they hear us?”
“Of course they can. Why would I insist you in telling them some stories every day then?” Valeria looked at him and asked further, “What are you going to tell them tonight?”
“I haven’t thought about it yet. I will eventually come up with something when we arrive at home.”
“Let us scrap the idea of you telling a story tonight. I suggest you in singing a song for them instead!” Valeria proposed.
“No thanks. You shall be in charge of singing whereas I am a storyteller. We have agreed on it long ago!” William refused.
“But honey, I would want to hear you sing. We would be your most supportive spectators! Since we are on this topic, I have only listened to you singing once and it has been a long time ago.”
William smiled awkwardly and said, “Erm, I’m a tone-deaf person. I may scare the wits out of you and our lovely babies should I try to sing.”
“You did perform relatively well last time, didn’t you?” Valeria queried.
“I prepared immensely just to not make a fool out of myself. Besides, I only know that one song and nothing else. I am happy to fulfil any requests of yours except for singing.”
“Pfft!” Valeria glanced at him and was about to tease him further but his phone suddenly rang. He grinned and caressed her head before answering the call, “Is the result out yet?”
“Yes, your speculation is spot on. Angel and Mr. Floyd are not related to each other at all!”
“Wow. It looks like I have guessed it right then!” William sighed and didn’t know what else to say.
Marcus asked, “Mr. Howard, should we tell Mr. Floyd about this?”
“Not for now. I’ll think it through before we shall make a move.” William refused and asked further, “By the way, what is the status of Natasya’s matter?”
“I have already arranged things according to your plan. All that is left with would be waiting for Hardy to take the bait.”
“Do keep a close eye on this matter as this is the perfect opportunity to get rid of him. He shall not be able to turn things around forever!”
Valeria heard the conversation between William and Marcus clearly as she was in her husband’s arms. She glanced at William with a confused look on her face. She immediately asked after William ended the phone call, “Honey, Marcus claimed that Angel and your uncle have no connection at all. What did he mean?”
“I should start from the day that I have invited my grandparents to have dinner with us together. You and grandma were busy taking some photos, while I was alone with grandpa. I then seized the opportunity to ask him some questions and obtained a piece of important news. My grandparents and uncle has always regarded Angel as the daughter of Emily. However, I knew that it was not true based on my findings and I suspected something fishy was going on. I then secretly ran a DNA test and it turns out that Callum is not the father of Angel either.”
“Wow… What’s with all the bizarre incident that has been happening recently? Raelyn is not the daughter of my grandpa and the exact same case happen to Angel and your uncle. What on earth is going on? Your grandparents and uncle would be utterly depressed if they know about this!” Valeria muttered.
William sighed and said, “You’re right, hence we should be cautious about this matter. We can’t simply expose the truth as this is a sensitive topic. No one knows about the full picture and I need to ask my grandparents what happened back then. I must come up with a perfect plan as it would seem inappropriate to ask them about this all of a sudden.”
Valeria suggested, “How about this? I promised to hang out with grandma tomorrow, right? I shall then seize a good timing and test the waters about this matter.”
“Are you able to handle it by yourself?” William was feeling doubtful.
Valeria felt that he did not take her seriously and retorted, “Of course I can! Honey, I do happen to be an intelligent person too, okay?”
William grinned and tried to explain himself, “Darling, you have misunderstood me. It is just that my grandma is no ordinary person as she has a sharp mind. She might get ahold of your intention should you let your guard down.”
“Don’t worry as I am a relatively capable person. You shall sit back and wait for my success patiently. I shall help you to find out some dirt tomorrow.”
The following scene took place in the Anthony family’s house. Hardy, Bevan, and Paisley gathered together to discuss Natasya’s matters.
“We should have commenced our plan earlier if we had known that she would be caught so soon. It is not easy to lay a finger on her since she is currently at the police station,” Bevan said with a face full of regret.
Hardy remained silent whereas Paisley replied, “Who says so? I have a totally opposite view compared to Bevan. I do think that this is the perfect timing for us to act. Hardy, what do you think?”
Hardy immediately understood what his sister meant and nodded his head. “I am with Paisley on this one. This is a safe and secure situation for us to make a move. No one would even realize us!”
“What do you mean?” Bevan asked with a confused look on his face.
Hardy smirked and said, “Devon can’t do anything as he is already arrested. Raelyn is currently being hospitalized and is unable to rescue her daughter. Archer and his family would not bother about Natasya as they truly despise her. Hence, all hopes are on us to save her from trouble. Bevan, do arrange for a lawyer to bail her out right now!”
“Are you sure?” Bevan still struggled to understand the full picture.
Paisley burst out of laughter upon seeing the disoriented look on Bevan’s face. “Of course! Do bring a lawyer with you to get Natasya out from the police station. It won’t be an easy task as she was suspected of murder. However, we can always claim that she is sick as a sure way for our plan to succeed!”
Paisley continued, “Natasya is still thinking straight but will eventually agree to put on a good act. The police will then send her to the hospital for emergency treatment. It will then be a good time for us to take action.”
Bevan finally understood what she meant and said, “I see. Natasya will pretend to be sick and we can mess with her at the operating room. We can obtain the blood from her artery by then. It will not be troublesome should she be declared to be dead due to complications during the surgery process. The Anderson family will not come for her rescue as they are currently caught in their respective mess. On the other hand, the Saunders family will not even bother about her. This is indeed a perfect plan!”
Paisley had a stern look on her face and said, “Why are you sitting here and doing nothing then? Do arrange things immediately! As a reminder, there must be foam in her mouth to deceive everyone that she is seriously ill. No one would investigate further when she eventually dies in the hospital.”
