Both Madelyn and Azalea were taken aback upon hearing his voice. Azalea immediately wanted to hide from Thomas. On the other hand, this was the first time that Madelyn had met with him. She questioned, “Who are you? How did you manage to get into this house?”
“I am not obligated to tell you about my identity! I have overheard about a car accident just now. Is Emily really involved in it?”
“How should we know whether she is telling us the truth? I heard it from her just awhile ago.”
“Damn it!” He felt anxious upon hearing about it. He needed to pay Emily a visit to get ahold of her condition. He warned Azalea and Madelyn before leaving the house, “It is advised to stop playing tricks on Emily from now onwards. I will not let things slide if I catch the both of you deceiving Emily ever again!”
Madelyn glared at Thomas and questioned, “What are you going to do about it then?”
“You are always welcomed to test my patience!” Thomas snapped back and hurriedly left the house. Madelyn raised her voice and cursed, “What the h*ll? Who on earth is that fella? How daring of him to be so bossy towards us!”
“Alright, cut it out! My head is in a mess right now. What should we do if he tells Emily about us? She will not help me out ever again!”
Madelyn did not take her seriously and said, “Don’t worry as she won’t have the heart to give you the cold treatment. You have my word!”
“Really?” Azalea was feeling doubtful and questioned further, “Why would you say so? Why would she be so lenient towards me?”
“I am not intending to tell you as it is a secret. Don’t worry as you will eventually know about it in the future. Anyway, you need not feel bothered about that fella. Emily will never leave you alone!”
Talitha was lost in her thoughts after Raelyn left her alone at the hospital ward.
She was not a foolish person. Raymond told her about Gavin giving money to her mother in hopes to sow discord. Both Raymond and her had the same objective in mind. Hence, she hoped to use him in seeking revenge for her.
Talitha was no longer concerned about her health condition despite needing more rest. She decided to have a chat with Raymond in person.
She went to the Saunders Family’s company in B CIty. However, she felt upset upon being halted by the security at the company entrance.
Raymond had coincidentally came out from the elevator. Talitha caught sight of him and immediately sought for his attention, “Raymond!”
He frowned upon seeing her at the company. “Why are you here?”
“Raymond, I would like to have a word with you.”
“I’m currently busy!” Raymond outright refused her.
“Raymond, I just want to have a quick chat with you. I just need half an hour from you… Wait, ten minutes shall do. I have something utterly important to tell you.”
A trace of disgust flashed in Raymond’s eyes upon seeing how hard was Talitha trying to butter him up.
She must be left with no other choice judging by the desperate look on her face.
He initially wanted to ignore Talitha but had a second thought. She had used him just to seek revenge on Natasya. On the other hand, Raelyn still did not back down and continued to deceive Gain to achieve her ulterior motives. Hence, Raymond decided to teach Raelyn a lesson and Talitha was useful for him.
He said casually, “Follow me.”
Raymond took Talitha to the guest room and asked, “What do you want to tell me about?”
“Raymond, I came here to apologize! I’m sorry as I was clearly at fault!” Talitha apologized.
“Hmm? What matter that you find yourself guilty?” Raymond’s expression remained indifferent.
“I shouldn’t have listened to Natasya in scheming against you. She was the one who caused you to have a broken leg. I was also being plotted against just so she could get William under control,” Talitha threw her sister under the bus and exaggerated matters further.
Raymond chuckled and questioned, “Well then. Did you come to see me just for this apology?”
“Raymond, I’m aware of how much you dislike us. Natasya is the mastermind behind all this chaos and it has nothing to do with me. Can you please forgive me?”
“Is my mercy towards you that important judging by current circumstances?” Raymond asked.
“Of course! I’ve been feeling guilty these days as you used to treat me so kindly. How could I be so silly to plot against you alongside Natasya? I have regretted my choice and I will turn over a new leaf. Raymond, I swear to become a better person!”
“I assume that you are done blabbering? Well then, goodbye!” Raymond pretended to leave despite knowing what was her purpose of visiting him.
Talitha halted him and said, “Raymond, I still have something to tell you.”
What is it?” Raymond asked with a frown on his face.
“Raymond, Natasya has gone too far as she has no mercy on both you and Valeria. However, I was also her target despite being her twin sister. She not only wanted to win Hardy over from me, but she had also got rid of my baby…”
Raymond interrupted her impatiently, “That is your personal matter between her and it is none of my business.”
“Raymond, don’t you want to let Natasya have a taste of her own medicine? She framed you and Valeria so viciously. Don’t you think that it’s ridiculous to let her off the hook? We have the same enemy and I propose to work as a team. We need to seek revenge as payback!”
“Did you come here just to take advantage of me?” Raymond asked and sneered.
“Absolutely not! I don’t have any bargaining power given my current circumstances. I am just aware that you and I don’t see Natasya eye to eye. We can join forces and eventually get rid of her. What do you think?”
“You’re proposing for a partnership, aren’t you? Well then, you have to show me how much you mean it. Otherwise, how am I supposed to believe you?” Raymond glanced at her with a mockery gaze.
“But…” Talitha stuttered as she felt troubled. It was clearly impossible for her in convincing Raymond to join hands with her just by a few words.
She thought for a moment before continuing, “Raymond, I am aware that Natasya absolutely hates Valeria. She has not given up yet and still plans to plot against Valeria. By the way, she is joining forces with Miss Floyd for the time being.”
“Really?” Raymond pretended by showing an intrigued look on his face.
“Yes, I heard from my mother that Natasya aims to mess with Valeria by using Miss Floyd in the game. Valeria would eventually get hurt if you don’t do something about it.”
“Is Natasya really that ruthless?” Raymond put on an angered face and raised his voice, “How dare she try to lay a finger on Valeria! She must be looking for trouble!”
“Raymond, my sister is absolutely crazy. You have to believe me before things get out of hand. We should join forces together and get rid of her forever.”
“I’m okay with that idea but you need to show me how desperate you want it. How about this? You shall visit grandpa and tell him everything that happened between you and Natasya. Don’t forget to tell him how Raelyn had tried to deceive him into obtaining financial aid. I will consider working together with you as long as you do what I say. Otherwise, don’t even think about it.”
