Angel rushed towards William and was about to hug him. Bobby immediately stepped forward and stopped her.
She had intended to give William a big hug before Bobby disrupted her plan. She questioned in a displeased tone, “Who are you? Why are you blocking my way?”
Bobby replied with a blank expression on his face, “I am the bodyguard of Mr. Howard, who is also responsible for the safety of his family. Strangers are forbidden to have physical contact with him!”
“I am not someone random! Do you know who am I?” Angel was furious as this was the first time that she had experienced such humiliation. “I am the eldest daughter of the Floyd family. I also happen to be William’s cousin!”
“Miss Floyd, how do you do? Welcome to B CIty!” Bobby greeted politely but still stood between William and Angel. His body posture was clearly firm that Angel ought to not touch William.
Angel was feeling displeased but William chose to ignore her feelings. He greeted with a smile, “Angel, hello there! This is the lovely B City that I currently reside at!”
“William, do tell your bodyguard to back off!” Angel raised her voice and pointed at Bobby.
William smiled apologetically and replied, “Angel, I do hope you understand where Bobby is coming from. He is just carrying out his job.”
William still kept a distance from Angel and said, “Angel, do wait here for a moment. Uncle, grandpa, and grandma are coming towards our way. I shall head up and greet them!”
“But, William!” Angel stomped her feet in anger but there was nothing that she could do. She stood there and watched William walking towards Fandrey and Deborah.
William strode towards his grandparents with a smile on his face. “Grandpa, grandma, and uncle, hello there! Welcome to B City!”
Fandrey and Deborah glanced at their dashing grandson with smiles all over their faces. Deborah was exceptionally pleased upon the sight of William and reached out to hold his hand. She said, “William, you seem to have gained a bit of weight, right? I mean it as a compliment as you look much more handsome compared to when you were overseas!”
“Grandma, you look increasingly stunning as the days go by!”
“Pfft! How can I be stunning when I am clearly aging day by day?”
“Grandma, I do think that you age gracefully. You are the most gorgeous grandma in the world!”
Deborah was feeling over the moon and said, “William, you’re such a sweet talker which is way different than your grandpa. He do not say nice things to me ever!”
“Grandpa shows his affection towards you by actions instead of words. Grandma, he deeply cares about you but just does not express it to you.” William then turned towards Fandrey and asked politely, “Grandpa, are you feeling tired after the long journey?”
“I’m actually feeling alright!” Fandrey replied in an uplifting tone.
“Your accommodation and dinner plan are already being arranged accordingly. Grandpa, grandma, and uncle, let’s head out right now as the vehicle is ready for all of you.”
William held both Deborah and Fandrey by his sides and exited the airport.
Callum followed them behind with a smile on his face. Angel felt disregarded upon seeing William being so affectionate towards Fandrey and Deborah. She had no choice but to follow the adults’ pace while pouting her lips.
William prepared a posh minivan to pick up the Floyd family from the airport. Bobby opened the door for them and hopped on the vehicle before igniting the engine.
The minivan headed straight to Wolf Group Hotel. The hotel manager and the staff were already waiting for their arrival at the entrance. William and the others eventually arrived at the hotel. The group of employees immediately paced forward to open the door for them.
“Mr. and Mrs. Floyd, how do you do? Mr. Floyd and Miss Angel, hello there. Welcome to Wolf Group Hotel!”
The lovely hotel receptionists gave the guests a bouquet of flowers and politely greeted them. Deborah accepted the flowers and said in a pleasant tone, “Wow, what a bombastic entrance! William, I love it!”
“Grandma, I’m glad to make you feel ecstatic!” William replied with a smile on his face.
The hotel manager led them towards the elevator and the guests eventually arrived at the presidential suite. William had arranged for the best and finest quality of accommodation for the Floyd family.
Fandrey and Deborah were very satisfied upon seeing the luxurious suite with glamorous decorations, “Wow! This looks really good!”
“It’s my pleasure to provide the best hospitality for my lovely guests!” William grinned and further suggested, “You guys can rest up and take your time. We can have a taste of Wolf Group’s specialty dishes later!”
“I have been anticipating the famous cuisine being served here. Let’s not wait further and head there now instead,” Deborah was extremely excited about it.
“Alright then. Let’s make our way to the restaurant now!” William stood up and led them on.
The mouth-watering dishes were being served one after the other. Both Fandrey and Deborah were enjoying their meal while repeatedly nodded their heads with satisfaction.
William was a sweet-talker and tried to brighten up the atmosphere. The guests were all in a good mood except for Angel.
She felt omitted as William did not pay attention to her at all.
William’s phone suddenly rang just when the pleasant meal was about to end. He stood up and left the private room. It was from Hayden, “Dad! What is up?”
“William, your wife fell down from the stairs not long ago!”
William was stunned and said, “Send her to the hospital right now. I’ll be there soon!”
“Don’t worry, we are already on our way there. You shall meet us at the hospital then!” Hayden replied in a worried tone. Valeria’s comforting voice then came through the phone, “Dad, I’m fine. You don’t have to make such a hassle by calling William. I’m really feeling alright.”
“How can you be feeling okay when your feet are already swollen from the fall? William, you ought to come back immediately!”
It was impossible for William to feel at ease when Valeria was currently pregnant with his lovely children. It would be chaotic if something bad happened to Valeria.
William hung up the phone and returned to the private room at a hasty pace. “Grandpa, grandma, something urgent has come up. Please excuse me for a while!”
Fandrey and Deborah immediately asked upon seeing the distressed look on his face, “William, what is it?”
“There is a little issue currently happening at home,” William gave a vague reply.
“What has exactly happened then?” Fandrey questioned further.
“It’s about my wife. She accidentally fell down from the stairs.”
“William, what are you waiting for? Make your way to the hospital right now!” Fandrey, Deborah, and Callum were utterly shocked upon hearing about it. They were not a fan of Valeria but there were two babies in her tummy. It would be worrisome if something terrible happened to her!
William exited the private room and left in a hurry. Angel sneered and said, “Pfft! What a trouble-maker! Valeria is such a baby!”
“What nonsense are you talking about?” Callum scolded her.
“I’m just saying the truth. Why didn’t she pick us up from the airport when she is the wife of William? Does she not take us seriously at all? It’s fine if she chooses to act arrogantly as we don’t even want meet her. However, why would she demand for William all of a sudden?”
Angel continued expressing her opinion, “She is just using her fall from the stairs as an excuse to force William in meeting with her. She ought to be much more careful upon knowing that she is pregnant, right? How could she make such a careless and silly mistake?”
Callum frowned and said, “Angel, mind your language. It’s just an accident and you should stop spewing nonsense.”
“I’m not convinced by it anyway as she is not as simple as you think. She has gained control over William and her aunt is Raelyn if we have a deep think about it. Raelyn and Natasya are cruel people which makes Valeria a suspect too as they are a family. I’m confident that Valeria is a cunning person. She must have come up with this as she is jealous at William to meet with us!”
“That’s enough! Cut it out!” Fandrey raised his voice and continued, “You are crossing the line. Who have you learned from to be such a trouble-maker? How could you show no respect towards the adults at all?”
Fandrey had a stern expression on his face and Angel eventually backed down.
She had intended to sow discord to convince Fandrey and Deborah to have nasty opinions about Valeria. She did not expect her plan to fail and even received an earful from Fandrey. Angel hated Valeria much more now!
