Talitha had trusted Raymond and finally came clean to him about the blood vermin. He pretended to be surprised about it and said, “Talitha, I was told that Natasya had also planned to use the same tactic at William. Are you sure that you are successful since your sister’s plan had failed?”
“Of course! Hardy was forced to accept me as his girlfriend ever since the scandal broke out. He was very cold to me last time but things have finally changed for the better. He is very caring towards me and even proposed to take my hand in marriage. I am certain that his attitude has taken a total turn.”
Talitha continued to tell Raymond about her dating life, “Everything was going really well until I found something fishy about him just now. There were lipstick marks on his clothes and hickeys on his neck. I also realized that there were a few strands of hair which I believe is his lover’s on his clothes. That’s so strange! How could he have an affair when he has been poisoned by the vermin? Raymond, can you find out which b*tch had slept with him? I will not let that woman off the hook!”
“No problem, I shall arrange matters right now!” Raymond was very willing to help her out.
Raymond gave William a call after the conversation with Talitha had ended. “Talitha wanted my assistance to find out Hardy’s lover. Should I tell her about the truth?”
“Of course! However, we shall be very subtle about it. The best situation would be to let her witness everything herself when Natasya and Hardy would go for a date. Things would be much more interesting,” William replied.
“Hardy and Natasya would lay low for the time being, don’t you think? We can’t get a closer look if they continue to date in secret within the Anthony family’s hotel. I’m afraid that they would eventually notice us keeping an eye on them,” Raymond replied worriedly.
“Don’t worry about it, Natasya will be the one who would dig her own grave judging by her despicable and shameless behavior. That bitch would not be satisfied by her current circumstances as marrying Hardy is now her ultimate goal in life. She will quickly come up with something to speed the progress of her chance to become the future Mrs. Anthony.”
Raymond was feeling reassured and asked, “Will you send someone to keep an eye on Hardy? Or would you prefer me to arrange things instead?”
William was not very confident with Raymond and said, “I shall do it as my men are all professionals. They will keep a close look on both Hardy and Natasya. You can just sit back and relax for the time being.”
Raymond accepted William’s idea. They then chatted about Valeria’s pregnancy updates and eventually hung up the phone.
William stood up and left his study room. His presence had halted Bobby and Silas’ discussion as they were resting in the living room. They immediately stood up and greeted, “Sir!”
“What are you guys chatting about?” William gestured them to have a seat.
“We are talking about the things that happened in South Africa back then,” Bobby brushed his head and answered.
“Reminiscing about the past, huh?” William chuckled and continued, “Are things too boring and too comfortable for you guys nowadays?”
“Yes, a little,” Bobby nodded and admitted. He was used to going into ferocious wars In the past. He had yet adjusted himself to living a peaceful life.
“You can always brush up your martial arts skills or do some exercise to occupy yourself. I think running ten kilometers every day can do good to you.”
Bobby and Silas immediately stood up and agreed, “Noted, Sir!”
William giggled as he was just joking around with them. “Are you guys for real? Don’t take it seriously as I’m just kidding! There is something that can finally fill up your time. Silas, do keep an eye on Natasya for the time being. You have the knack for spying on others, right? I am confident that we can obtain something useful from her real soon.”
“Sir William, what about me? Please assign me for some tasks as I’m feeling extremely bored nowadays,” Bobby volunteered himself.
“Bobby, I’ve got nothing for you but I hope that you can continue to be the bodyguard of my wife. Her safety is the utmost important matter to me.”
Bobby brushed his head and said, “Sir, she would bombard me with weird questions every time she is out and about. I don’t think I am capable enough to answer her queries.”
“What would she normally ask you?” William asked as he was feeling very curious about it.
“Well, it would always be related to women. For example, the flowers that women adore, the romantic acts that women would go crazy about… I think she is still very persistent to find me a girlfriend. I don’t think that I can hold on any longer.”
William burst into laughter upon seeing the troubled look on Bobby’s face. “You’re such a foolish man! You can always pretend that you are currently in a relationship with someone.”
“She would not back down and demand to have a meet-up with my girlfriend. Where on earth can I get ahold of one to satisfy her curiosity?”
“Well, why don’t you just agree and let her arrange a blind date for you? You can try to date someone since you’re so free nowadays,” William persuaded him.
“No! I’m really not interested in it! Sir, please help me out!”
William grinned and eventually listened to him, “Alright, I’ll tell her about it soon.”
The door was being pushed open in the midst of their conversation. Valeria entered the living room with a delightful face alongside Abbie.
Valeria was holding a bouquet of flowers with her. She then asked William as soon as she entered the door, “Honey, don’t you think these flowers are very pretty? Abbie was the one who gave it to me.”
“Yes, indeed!” William nodded in agreement.
“What do you guys think?” Valeria turned her gaze onto Bobby and Silas. They swiftly nodded like a woodpecker and replied, “It is gorgeous!”
“Do you guys know what is the meaning behind these flowers?” Valeria questioned Bobby and Silas once again.
“I don’t know,” They answered truthfully.
“What? You guys have to do more research! It’s vital to know about horoscopes, blood types, and flowers. It would also be beneficial to strike a common topic and be a humorous man. Besides, you guys ought to dress up nicely and become sophisticated men. Take a look at the both of you with an unrefined taste in fashion! How on earth would you attract the gaze of a woman? Abbie, do you agree with me?”
“Yes, you’re absolutely right!” Abbie agreed and nodded her head.
“William has zero knowledge in flowers, horoscopes, and blood types. Why does he get a free pass in that?” Bobby retorted.
Valeria glanced at William and asked, “Honey, do you know the meaning behind these flowers that I am currently holding?”
“Of course! Orchids represent friendship, am I right?” William said.
“See? My husband is aware of it. However, it is true that he would get a free pass even if he is unaware of it because he is a popular man. However, things are different for you guys! It is really hard to get a girlfriend with that boring attitude like you guys.”
Bobby and Silas looked at each other with eyes that were filled with despair. William waved his hand and said, “Gentlemen, it’s time for you guys to get busy.”
They immediately fled from the scene. Valeria eventually came to her senses and questioned William, “Are you helping them to run away from me?”
“No, I wouldn’t dare!” William swiftly changed the topic and continued, “Sweetheart, your dad gave me a call just now. He invited us for dinner tonight as he had ordered something delicious for you.”
“Are you heading back with me as well?” Valeria asked.
“Of course, I’ll follow you wherever you go.”
“Okay then, let’s head back tonight.” Valeria glanced at the time and continued, “I have to leave with Abbie right now. We have an appointment to catch.”
“Where are you going?” William asked.
“We are heading to a blind date session with a talented man who used to work abroad. You don’t have to accompany me as the appointment is in Wolf Group anyways. I will help Abbie out and would update you on how it went later.”
