Abbie was giving her a hard time without cursing her out. She mocked Meadow for attempting to use Azalea against her. Abbie in fact did not take Azalea seriously at all.
Meadow did not expect things to turn out this way. Wasn’t Abbie deeply in love with Michael and was willing to sacrifice herself for the sake of him? Why did she change into a whole new person all of a sudden?
It was undeniable that Meadow had lost in this battle as she was deeply humiliated by Abbie.
Meadow was someone who easily holds a grudge towards others. She was prepared to mess around with Abbie as she was aware that she stood no chance against Valeria.
She had assumed that Abbie would give way due to her affection for Michael. She had discussed things with Azalea before making her way over and planned to humiliate Abbie before Azalea make her appearance. In fact, Azalea was currently waiting for her turn at the parking lot.
Meadow thought that she was the winner and did not expect Abbie to turn things around.
She was embarrassed but had to go all the way out. She then picked up her phone and said, “I shall call Azalea and tell her to join us then.”
“That would be great! Meadow, do make the call now.” Abbie smiled without a single trace of feeling bothered or uneasy.
Meadow had no choice and forced herself to give a call to Azalea. It was useless for Michael to persuade her otherwise and watched her dial the number.
She said hurriedly when the phone was answered, “Azalea, we are having dinner in the club. Do you want to come over?”
“What a coincidence! Meadow, I happen to be here as well. I’ll head over right now!” Azalea immediately agreed.
A sneer had crept on Valeria’s lips upon hearing the call between Meadow and Azalea. What were the odds?
It was without a doubt that Meadow had discussed things in advance with Azalea. Meadow was not intending to make peace but planned to cause a scene instead.
She did this to mess around with Abbie and she would definitely regret it soon!
William pushed the door open as soon as Meadow ended her call. He entered the room with a smile on his face and said, “I apologize for the delay. I assume that everyone has arrived?”
“William!” Everyone in the private room greeted him politely. Braelynn, who was sitting next to Valeria had given up her seat to William.
He then sat beside Valeria and glanced at her with a gentle smile on his face. She asked upon taking a good look at him, “Honey, what happened to your hair?”
“The rain has gotten my hair wet!” William answered with a grin.
“Is it a heavy one?” Valeria used a piece of tissue and brushed his hair to let it dry.
“Yeah. My father had specially given me a call upon knowing that you are here. You have been advised to stay here tonight due to safety reasons.” William glanced at Archer and asked, “Archer, is there a place for us to crash tonight?”
“Of course! I’ll arrange the best room available right now and you both can stay as long as you desire.” Archer immediately called his men to arrange a room for the couple.
Meadow and Stanty were both surprised upon hearing the conversation. Valeria was adored by the Howard family besides being treated like a princess in the Saunders family!
Meadow knew that she could only cause trouble towards Abbie as it was impossible to lay a finger on Valeria. After all, both of them were best friends and were as close as sisters. Valeria would be pissed upon seeing Abbie being bullied.
The sound of high heels was suddenly heard and it came outside of the private room. Azalea had finally arrived and greeted gently upon pushing the door open, “Hey, aunty!”
“Azalea, you’re here! Come and have a seat!” Meadow smiled and signaled her to sit beside Michael.
Azalea nodded and immediately walked towards her assigned place. Valeria, who had been observing them carefully suddenly voiced out coldly, “Wait for a second!”
“Valeria, what’s the matter?” Meadow knew that Valeria was feeling agitated and wanted to protect Abbie. She was secretly feeling delightful but pretended to act dumb.
Valeria looked at Meadow with an icy expression on her face and asked, “Mr. Davis, you have invited my parents to enjoy dinner together, right?”
“Yes!” Stanty nodded.
“What is she doing here then?” Valeria pointed at Azalea and continued, “My parents and I, as well as my husband, are here to meet you. We are not expected to see a useless piece of shit and now she is intending to have dinner with us. Isn’t this too outrageous? Stanty, Meadow, what do you have in mind? Are you trying to mess with my parents or me and my husband?”
“But… ”
Meadow did not expect Valeria to react this way. She immediately retorted, “You have wronged Azalea. She is Michael’s fiancee!”
“Michael, is that so?” Valeria cut to the chase and continued, “I shall take back what I just said if she is indeed your fiancee. I would apologize and invite her to enjoy dinner with us. However, she has to get out of here immediately if that is not the case!”
It would be a miracle for him to admit it and he swiftly said, “No! We have no business with each other!”
“Azalea, did you hear what Michael had just said? You are not his fiancee. What do you think about your relationship with Michael then?” Valeria questioned Azalea further.
“Don’t worry, you can admit publicly and I would not go back to my words. I will apologize and suggest you have a meal with us if you are Michael’s fiancee!”
Azalea was embarrassed as she was convinced that her act with Meadow was flawless. She did not expect Valeria to behave in such a cold-blooded way. She was feeling worried as she had convinced Michael that her act was for the sake of him. He would definitely give her a hard time if she were to lie that she is his fiancee.
Valeria knew what was going through Azalea’s mind judging by her pretentious behavior. She decided to show the world about Azalea’s outrageous personality once and for all.
Azalea stuttered and said, “Michael is not my fiancee!”
“Are you sure? Why would Meadow say otherwise then?” Valeria stared at Meadow and questioned.
Meadow glanced at Azalea with a disappointed look on her face and said, “Azalea, why would you chicken out? Don’t you adore Michael? Both of you have been deeply in love with each other for so many years. Why would you deny it?”
“Why am I not aware of it then?” Michael looked at Azalea with a stern look on his face.
Azalea was intimidated by his cold gaze and denied, “No! There is nothing going on between us! Meadow, I have deceived you to earn some brownie points from you!”
“What?” Meadow was extremely upset as she did not expect Azalea to turn her back against her. “You… you have disappointed me!”
“Why are you here then? Get out immediately!” William chimed in and raised his voice.
