Valeria was taken aback and asked, “Four to five grandchildren?”
Hayden nodded and replied, “Yes, you heard me right. You’re currently expecting two and you might be pregnant with another pair of twins maybe after three years. That would make them four and well, five isn’t too bad either, right? It would be nice if you are planning to have seven to eight children as the more the merrier.”
How is it easy for me to be pregnant with twins? Am I a machine to blindly give birth to so many children? Valeria thought to herself but did not voice out her feelings. “I shall discuss this with my husband first.”
“There is no need to as William adores children. Besides, he would be delighted to have more as long as you are okay with it. I was told that he might want at least eight to ten children.”
Valeria froze and asked, “My husband wants at least seven or eight children?”
“Yeap! William told me himself.” Hayden was increasingly excited and continued, “Youngsters nowadays are not keen to have too many children and some even chose to have none at all. I am very grateful and happy when I heard that you are willing to bear children.”
“But, dad, seven is too many!”
“Not at all. Besides, it’s not like we can’t afford it as I have already prepared the childcare fund for you. Both you and William would not have to worry about financial matters. All you both have to do is just give birth and I will take care of the rest.”
Valeria did not want to spoil the mood upon seeing Hayden being so uplifting as he talked about it. She just nodded and pretended to agree with Hayden’s idea.
They had continued to chat for a while before the construction workers finally arrived. Hayden then excitedly followed the workers to the garden. Valeria immediately left the estate and made her way to Wolf Group with a sullen expression on her face.
William was just trying to coax her while telling Hayden about his decision of giving birth to at least seven children. He might even want more! How dare he! He did not even discuss things with her.
A man’s words were full of lies. William was an intelligent man and might have set up a trap for Valeria to fulfill his desire. Valeria was actually keen on having more children with him but she did not like the idea of being deceived by him. She decided to get ahold of William and asked him more about it.
She did not park her car at the underground parking lot upon reaching Wolf Group. She had instead pulled over at the entrance and headed straight into the building. The lobby manager immediately greeted her politely upon seeing her entering the company.
Valeria was in a bad mood and headed straight to the elevator after she had nodded to the manager. He quickened his pace and assisted Valeria to press the elevator button.
Sammuel, who was sitting in the hall had seen the interaction between the lobby manager and Valeria. Wasn’t this William’s woman?
Valeria had a serious look on her face and was not seen to be friendly. Sammuel had then assumed that Valeria was an ill-tempered woman.
Isn’t she known to be a kind and gentle person? Well, it looks like she had been faking it all along. Sammuel was lost in his thoughts while Valeria had eventually entered the elevator.
Valeria angrily pushed open the door of the presidential suite. She raised her voice, “William! William!”
William had just settled the official matters and knew that she was in a bad mood based on her tone. He got out of his study room and asked, “My lovely wife, is there anything that I can help you with?”
“Follow me!” Valeria pulled him to the bedroom and shut the door. She cut to the chase and asked, “Are you intending to have at least seven children?”
“Nope. Why would you suddenly come up with this?”
“Stop pretending as dad has told me about it. He wants to build a playground at home and you have agreed on the number of children that you desire.”
“I did not say that before. Dad was the one who suggested it,” William explained.
“Why didn’t you refuse his idea? You have been planning to have at least seven or eight kids all along, right?”
William put his arms around her waist and grinned weakly. He asked, “Are you feeling upset just because of this?”
“Of course, and you better come clean to me. Have you been deceiving me all along? You have been coaxing me and intend to lure me into your trap, right?”
“No! I wouldn’t dare to! My love, I really am innocent!”
“Stop spewing nonsense. Now tell me, how many children do you actually want?”
William hesitated and asked, “Sweetheart, would you want me to tell you the truth?”
“Of course. Who would be a fan of listening to lies and broken promises?”
“Well, I would really love to have around eight to ten children with you.” William continued while staring at her big brown eyes, “However, I have read that giving birth would take a toll on the woman’s body and I have since then changed my mind. I will just go with the flow after you have given birth to our twin. Don’t worry about my dad as I will convince him otherwise!”
“You better stick to your words then. I shall repeat to you that I am in charge of how many children that I ought to have. You have no say in this!”
“Yes, you’re right. You always have the final say no matter what we do, right?” William asked with a smile on his face.
Valeria had run out of excuses to get mad at him. William reached out to caress the tip of her nose and said, “Look at you being so pissed off just because of this. You have indeed been spoiled by me!”
He had a solid point as women would be happy to have children with him regardless of the number.
He was however uninterested as he adored Valeria very much. He only wanted to have children with Valeria and only she could make unnecessary fusses with him. He wanted to spoil her as much as he could in the name of love.
Valeria felt that she had overreacted and her anger had finally subsided. She hugged his waist and asked, “Honey, why didn’t you give me an earful? Why would you let me do whatever I want? You will eventually spoil me into a chaotic princess.”
“It’s fine. I enjoy treating you like this.”
“Will you always treat me in such a loving way until we grow old?”
“Of course! I will never change!”
“Why would you treat me so kindly? Didn’t you bribe me with a billion in cash just to cut ties with you? You had also used Paisley to get on my nerve and I was really pissed off at that time!” Valeria thought about the past.
“Hey, why would you suddenly mention this? Didn’t you start the war by flirting with Hardy first?” William retorted and continued, “I was so pissed and spent the entire night at the balcony as I had trouble sleeping. You are the only one who could do this and I was unable to control my emotions.”
“Really? Did you struggle to fall asleep that day?” Valeria was not convinced.
William nodded and replied, “Of course. Why would I lie to you about such an embarrassing thing about me?”
“Honey, I love you! So, so much!” Valeria hugged his neck and kissed him upon hearing that. She did not know how upset William was as the couple had never brought up this topic before.
“I shall try my very best to have more children with you! However, I do think seven children is too many. We shall have four children at most, okay?”
William giggled as he did not expect Valeria to want more kids with him. He agreed with a delightful look on his face and said, “Alright then! I shall follow whatever my wife intends to do! She has the final say!”
