Deborah was taken aback by her reaction and asked, “What’s wrong with you? You scared me!”
“Grandma, look! Oh My God! Isn’t this Natasya? How could this happen? Isn’t this ridiculous? She simply messed around with a beggar, flirted with the bodyguards, and even sent them nudes. I did not expect her to be such a shameless person.”
Deborah frown and took the phone from her to have a good look. She was also shocked upon seeing Natasya’s scandal which was evidenced by the photos and footage. “What has happened? Why would she be caught in a scandal?”
“I don’t know! This is so interesting!” Angel was delighted upon seeing Natasya in misery as Angel was not a fan of her. She convinced Natasya to be her spy but was clearly aware that Natasya was not an innocent person. However, Angel felt that it was not important as she just wanted to use Natasya.
Deborah had a displeased look on her face and said, “Someone must have plotted against her. She is a well-cultured woman even though she had spurt nonsense of claiming to be your cousin brother’s girlfriend. I do not believe that she would do something like this.”
“Of course! But who could it be? Valeria might be a suspect, right?” Angel seized the opportunity to throw Valeria under the bus.
“Valeria adores William and is pregnant with his children. Natasya is interested in William too and hence Valeria framed her as she deemed Natasya to be an eyesore. Wow! Why would someone as gorgeous as Valeria has a heart that evil and ruthless?”
Deborah was increasingly feeling upset while Angel continued to spice things up, “The degree of ruthlessness is highly correlated with the beauty of a woman. I finally understand the meaning behind it! Such a woman is ugly to the bone! It would be troublesome if she eventually becomes the wife of William! How could he live a peaceful life then? Grandma, you must find a way to convince William otherwise!”
Deborah took the mobile phone from Angel once again and read the news carefully. She realized that Natasya’s scandal did not mention a single trace about Valeria.
It was unsure that Valeria had thrown Natasya into the mud. Deborah did not want to accuse anyone before coming to a concrete conclusion.
She had to ask Sammuel about it first as he was the only one who would be aware of the exact situation. Deborah returned the phone back to Angel and said, “I’ll discuss this with your grandfather.”
Angel was secretly delighted as this had signified that Deborah had taken this scandal seriously.
Valeria, you were the one who made me receive an earful from cousin William. You shall be met with hell soon! Angel thought to herself.
Deborah left and immediately looked for Fandrey. She told him about Natasya’s scandal as well as the speculation of Valeria being a suspect behind this incident. Fandrey frowned and said, “Let’s not get too involved in William’s personal affairs.”
“This is a complicated matter as it involves the marriage of William. We will accept them as a couple as long as there is no dirt on Valeria. However, we have to advise William if Valeria is not as innocent as she looks.”
Fandrey remained silent while Deborah continued, “Angel has told me that Valeria’s mother is the one who killed Tilda. However, I don’t know how true this is and it’s best that we dig things further, right? We can’t let William marry the daughter who had killed his mother.”
“What are you talking about? Didn’t Tilda pass away due to dystocia? What does her death have any relationship with Valeria’s mother? Why would you believe such nonsense?”
“I was initially skeptical about it but rumors would not appear out of the blue, right? It’s wise that we check things out to seek justice for Tilda’s death. Valeria would have nothing to hide if she is innocent, right?”
“Alright, you do have a point. I shall instruct Sammuel to check things out soon,” Fandrey nodded and agreed to her idea.
It was daytime in New York the next morning when Sammuel received the phone call. Fandrey’s voice was stern and questioned, “How much do you know about the relationship of William and Valeria?”
“Well… I don’t know much about it. I managed to learn something new when Valeria called last time. She is the eldest daughter of the Saunders family and is genuinely the girlfriend of William.”
“I know that. However, I am actually interested in her pregnancy. Is she really expecting children that belong to William?”
“Erm… the news said so. I had no chance to see neither the two of them to confirm things, hence…”
Fandrey was a little upset and asked, “Are you telling me that you are as clueless as I am?”
“Yes,” Sammuel decided to be honest. He planned to sneakily follow William around to know more about him. However, it was hard to get ahold of William and the best that Sammuel could do was call him to ask about his updates. On the other hand, he did not see Valeria in person before as he was not familiar with her at all.
Fandrey knew that Sammuel was a trustworthy person and he had done his best. Fandrey suppressed his anger and said, “Alright then. You shall get ahold of William and tell him that I am interested to know what he has been up to. You shall follow him everywhere from now on and hopefully, you can get ahold of something new.”
Valeria had spent the night at the Howard Family’s estate. She only awaken when it was ten in the morning as she partied too hard last night.
William was not at home and Valeria was informed by the servants that he had gone to Wolf Group to do settle some official matters. Hayden returned home while holding a blueprint with him after Valeria had her breakfast. She asked Hayden upon seeing him being in a good mood, “Dad, did anything uplifting happen today judging by your cheerful look?”
Hayden nodded and spread out the blueprint on the tea table. “Yes, I am indeed feeling on top of the world. I intend to build a playground soon. Come and take a look as this is the design of it.”
“Hmm? Why are you keen to build a playground all of a sudden? Is it an investment project initiated by the company?” Valeria asked with a confused look on her face.
“Nope. This would be for my lovely grandchildren.” Hayden continued, “The little cuties that you would soon give birth to would be very happy to spend time here. It is every kid’s dream to have fun at the playground. However, I am feeling bothered as playgrounds are generally quite dangerous. I have then come up with an idea of building an indoor playground at our garden for them instead.”
Hayden made such a fuss just to build this for the babies that were still in her belly. She was taken aback and swiftly refused, “Dad, it’s not necessary to do that. They can always go to any playground and I would take the servants with me to keep an eye on them. There is no need to build an indoor playground for them at home.”
Hayden disagreed and said, “No way. This would be a good idea as my grandchildren would not need to queue up and wait for their turn to play. Besides, it would be at the comfort of our home and there is no need to bring along the servants with you as well. How convenient is that!”
Valeria was still very surprised and whispered softly, “But this is too over the top!”
“Not at all, as it won’t cost us a fortune. Besides, I’m always willing to fork my money out just to let my grandchildren have a good time.” Hayden’s face was filled with excitement and continued, “This is what I have in mind. You and William would definitely have more children in the future as you both are still very young now. It would be an exciting sight upon seeing four to five grandchildren of mine spending time together at the playground.”
