The couple locked hands and eventually went downstairs to greet their newly-arrived guests. Hayden had also stood by the entrance to meet both Gavin and Archer.
The servant opened the car door and Gavin then got off the car. He reached out to shake Hayden, his old friend’s hand.
However, Gavin was in a much seniority position as both Valeria and William were now a couple. Hayden was feeling uneasy about it.
Gavin understood his feelings and decided to address him the same way as before. Hayden was feeling increasingly relaxed as both Archer and Natalie were also very polite to him.
Hayden then took the lead and brought the Saunders Family into his estate. Both he and Gavin were at the front whereas Archer and Natalie were behind them. The latter was busy having a word with Valeria and William.
Natalie praised upon seeing Valeria, “Valeria, you look stunning today!”
“My husband said the exact same thing to me just now,” Valeria replied with a confident look on her face.
“You’re indeed spoiled by William!” Archer grinned.
“I have no choice as he enjoys doing it. It is said that a woman’s marriage signifies a reborn life and it looks like I have made the right chice!” Valeria replied proudly.
“Our daughter has her way of talking back to us.” Natalie giggled and reached out to hold Valeria’s hand, “You seem to have put on some weight despite just a few days not seeing you.”
“Hmm! I guess it is because my husband has been feeding me mouth-watering dishes every day. What if I fail to slim down in the future?” Valeria was feeling distressed.
Natalie comforted her, “You would eventually lose some pounds after you have given birth. However, you should eat more for the sake of your children. We do not want the children in your belly to be malnourished, right”
“Mommy, you said the exact same thing as Hayden.”
“Alright, I shall put an end to this topic. Valeria, I would want to have a word with you privately.” Natalie smiled and took her away. She lowered her voice and said, “We happen to see Natasya just now.”
“Really? Where is she?” Valeria was interested to know more about it.
“She is seen at the corner of the villa and her car is parked at the flower bed. It was a coincidence that I saw her as I glanced out of the window just now. What is she doing here? Do you think that she is here to cause a scene?” Natalie asked in a concerned tone.
“Natasya is such a thick-skinned woman. She needs to be stopped just in case she causes trouble at the party later,” Natalie continued.
Valeria smiled and said, “Mom, don’t worry about it. I have actually been waiting for her today. Just so you know, our guests would need an invitation card to enter the party tonight. However, I have specially instructed them to give Natasya a free pass.”
“Why would you do that?” Natalie asked with a confused look on her face.
Valeria then told her about how Natasya had attempted to poison William with the blood vermin. “She dares to show up as she thinks that my husband is under her control. She wants to use him and humiliate me publicly later.”
“She has crossed the line! How could she be so ruthless?” Natalie continued with an upset tone, “I have to tell your father about this and he will have a word with your grandpa. We treated them as part of the family and had always been kind towards them. However, we can no longer let them have their way as it will be a mess soon.”
“There is no need for that as she will have a taste of her medicine soon. We have prepared things accordingly and she would soon fall into the trap,” Valeria sneered and said.
Natasya was still in the car. She glanced at the paper cranes that were placed at the driver’s seat and began to rehearse her lines with a passionate tone.
She had replayed a few times in her mind the things that she ought to do tonight.
She had to first come up with a way to enter the villa as the Howard Family had a tight security team. She would be halted as she neither had an invitation card nor she was very close to them.
Besides, it would be much more difficult for her to enter as the bodyguards did not have a good impression of her.
She had to seize the perfect opportunity as it was impossible for her to enter upfront. An idea had finally emerged after she had thought of it for a long time.
She planned to closely follow the guests who would attend the party. She should be able to sneak her way in if she managed to conceal herself well.
She had been waiting until the skies turned dark as she observed the luxurious cars that eventually went inside the villa. Her patience finally paid off as she finally saw someone that she knew.
It was the leader of B City alongside his wife. Natasya knew the leader as Devon had introduced to her last time. She swiftly ignited her car engine and followed the car.
Natasya parked her car beside the couple and warmly greeted them, “Hello!”
“Natasya, is that you? Did you come to the party alone?” The leader asked politely.
“Unfortunately, yes. I initially plan to attend the celebration with my grandfather and uncle but I had something urgent to do just now,” Natasya lied through her teeth.
“I see. Let’s head in together then.” Natasya deliberately struck a conversation with the leader’s wife and walked towards the entrance. The bodyguards greeted them politely and they eventually entered the hallway without the verification of their invitation letters.
Natasya let out a sigh of relief as she had managed to sneak into the party. She was confident that it would be a success today and bid goodbye politely, ”Sir and Madam, it’s nice catching up with you. I shall head over to find my grandfather and uncle. See you later!”
The leader’s wife lowered her tone as soon as Natasya left the couple, “Natasya is behaving rather sneaky. She must have something in mind.”
“I doubt that. Her grandfather and uncle are both at the birthday party. What could she possibly do?” The leader was not aware of Natasya’s scandal.
His wife sneered and said, “Don’t you know about her scandal that happened a few days ago? She is a shameless woman who seduced a married man! I did not expect her to have such a bad attitude as she does not look like one. She has made a fool out of herself.”
“Alright, that’s enough. We have to be cautious just in case someone overhears us,” The man interrupted her wife, and the couple passed by the courtyard.
Natasya sneakily made her way to the garden. It was seen that there were many guests there busy having a bite while chatting. Pieces of romantic music were on repeat, and William’s twenty-eight portraits were being presented on the big screen.
The crowd was commenting on it and said, “Do you see that? The twenty-eight portraits were sketched by the eldest daughter of the Saunders family as William’s birthday present.”
“Really? It seems that she has a knack for drawing as the portraits are beautifully drawn.”
“Yes, I do agree with you! It does look lifelike!”
A wry smile crept on Natasya’s face upon hearing the comments and praises of the guests.
The higher one climbed, the harder one would fall.
The guests could praise Valeria however they wanted but the tables would eventually turn when Natasya seek her revenge later.
Valeria would be a joke and suffer the greatest humiliation of all time.
‘You b*tch, you shall patiently wait for a taste of hell.’
‘Aren’t you deeply in love with William? Let’s see how could you bear to watch me and your husband make out publicly later. It will be game over for you!’ Natasya thought to herself.
