William’s face turned grim upon hearing Richard’s mockery. Michael had also burst into laughter upon hearing about it.
“What should you do now? Natasya is deeply in love with you. William, did you do something fishy with her behind your wife’s back?”
“Do I look like one?”
Richard and Michael questioned together, “Don’t you?”
“Guys, cut it out. You guys would be responsible if there is any crack in my relationship!”
The both of them giggled upon seeing his serious expression. Richard then said scornfully, “She’s a slut but pretends to be an innocent little girl. I’m genuinely disgusted by her actions! She refuses to give up until she manages to give you the paper cranes as your birthday present.”
“Guys, cut it off. Stop mentioning about the paper cranes as both me and my wife are not interested in it.” William changed the topic as he was afraid that Valeria would be upset, “Sweetheart, are you feeling hungry? Let’s have something to eat.”
Valeria grinned and said, “It’s fine. I’m actually interested in it. I need to grant Natasya her wish of being an innocent woman. Let her attend the party tonight as I am confident that she has something in store for me.”
“Alright then. Do not worry as I’ve already made the necessary arrangements!” William smiled and continued, “Let’s have something light in order for you to regain some energy to plan your next move.”
Valeria was dragged by William to have some afternoon tea at the dining table and both Richard and Michael had also followed the couple.
William had been taking good care of her for the whole time. Richard and Michael glanced at each other and giggled upon seeing him serving Valeria some juice alongside some pastries.
“I did not expect William to be such a caring person.”
William replied calmly, “You would behave the same when you have a wife and children next time.”
“Pfft,” The two of them snorted. The sound of a car engine has emerged outside and Abbie soon came in hurriedly.
She mocked Valeria and said, “You are always busy eating whenever I visit you. You should dress up when your husband would be in the spotlight tonight, right? Why are you still here and not getting things ready?”
Valeria took a sip of the juice and gestured Abbie to sit beside her. “Both my husband and my father-in-law do not want me to put any makeup on as I look fine being bare-faced. However, I clearly know what they mean as they are worried that the chemicals would do harm to my babies. I know it all since the very beginning! I’m not as foolish as they think I am!”
“Are you implying that I’m the dumb one? Valeria, you’re so mean!” Abbie replied while sitting down and took a serving of pastry. She asked while having a bite, “You still ought to put on something pretty and fix your hair even if you choose to go without makeup. Why are you still relaxing here when it is already getting late?”
“Don’t worry about it.” Valeria explained further, “My husband had hired a stylist to do my hair later. My party gown will also be arriving soon. I shall relax and only get myself ready when I am done with my afternoon tea.”
“It would be a blessing to have a husband like yours!” Abbie replied with an admirable look on her face. Her gaze was suddenly met with Michael’s and she grinned at him without a hint of avoidance. She then asked, “Richard, don’t you intend to find a boyfriend for me? Have you yet to find someone that is a match with me? I admire Valeria’s relationship so much.”
Michael’s gaze was slightly sulky upon hearing it. Richard took a bite of the pastry and replied calmly, “My lovely sister, would you also want to get married soon? Don’t worry about it as I will pull some strings and find someone that would be your perfect husband.”
Michael was trying his best to suppress his emotions. William swiftly changed the topic as he was aware of it, “Sweetheart, do speed up for a bit as the gowns will be arriving soon. Abbie can give you some advice on the outfit that is the best for you.”
Valeria swiftly agreed as she knew that he was trying to ease the tension, “Alright, that sounds good. We shall fix our hair together later, okay? How about we have our hair tied up into a bun?”
“No, that won’t do. Having the same hairstyle would put me at a disadvantageous point as you are much more gorgeous than me. I don’t intend to make a fool out of myself,” Abbie had always been upfront about her feelings.
Valeria chuckled and asked, “What do you have in mind then?”
“Well, that would depend on the hairstylist that your husband had hired. I shall get my hair done if it’s a professional and well-known hairstylist. However, it will be a pass for me if it’s a mediocre stylist.”
“It’s a must that I hire the best hairstylist in town. Why would I hire a mediocre stylist for my wife?” William replied.
“Okay then. I shall let the hairstylist work his magic on my hair all thanks to Valeria today,” Abbie replied with an excited look on her face.
The party gowns were eventually sent over after they have enjoyed their afternoon tea. Abbie and Valeria then went upstairs to have a look at the outfits.
Richard was seen to be busy with a phone call while Michael was feeling moody. William then reached out and patted him on the shoulder, “Bro, come on. Crack a smile, would you?”
Michael replied in a depressed tone, “How could I be upbeat when she has blocked my contact number?”
William shook his head and was out of words. He thought for a moment and said, “Hang in there buddy. Things will change for the better when we get our hands on the antidote and she will then be able to recall her past.”
Michael sighed and said, “I guess I am left with no choice but to wait patiently.”
William had prepared three sets of custom-made dresses for Valeria. Each of them was equally beautiful and fitted her gorgeously.
Valeria and Abbie eventually selected a dress randomly as they had hesitated for quite a while.
The hairstylist had finally arrived and he was the most famous all-rounded stylist in B City. He tied Valeria’s hair into a bun as she decided to go bare-faced due to her pregnancy. Her hair was fixed into place with a customized jade hairpin.
Valeria had chosen to go without makeup but she did not look dull at all. She was born with perfect skin and pretty features. She was also slender which exploded a graceful aura throughout her whole body.
Abbie glanced at the angel-like Valeria and could not resist herself to caress her face. “You’re so gorgeous! I shall give you a little pinch on the face!”
Valeria blinked at her with a pair of dazzling eyes. Abbie let out a scream and said, “Oh My God! You have successfully captured my heart! I finally know does William feel as I would behave the same if I were a man.”
Abbie had also got her hair done and some touchups while they joked around with each other. William eventually went upstairs after they were done getting ready.
He hugged Valeria and kissed her without a hint of shyness. He let out a sigh and said, “Wow, my wife is so gorgeous today!”
“Are you saying that I look ugly during normal times?” Valeria asked.
“No, you have always been beautiful but you have gone a level up today.”
Abbie stuck out her tongue and said, “Pfft, I’m being tortured here. I shall leave you guys alone.”
William held Valeria and they made out after the stylist and Abbie eventually left them.
The servant then informed them that both Archer and Gavin had also arrived. William had no choice but to let go of Valeria and ended their intimate moment.
