In the Howard family’s old estate, the staff of the company had already completed their arrangements for the birthday party and began to leave.
Valeria wandered around the hall, looked around the courtyard outside, and finally went to the garden.
The garden was the main venue of the party. White tables were arranged in a row, with a huge flower arrangement that spelled out the words ‘Happy Birthday’, which was also illuminated by colorful lights. Valeria’s eyes fell on the large display screen that would show William her birthday gift for him tomorrow night.
She personally drew a portrait of him. Since this was his first time celebrating his birthday in his twenty-eight years of living, she racked her brains to think of a good party for him.
Her love for him was incredibly deep, and she only wanted the best for him.
She wanted to make up for the twenty-eight years he missed out on and make him happy, so she had a number of things she wanted to do. After much thought, she decided on drawing a portrait of him.
However, the more she thought about it, the more she regretted not preparing more gifts for him.
Footsteps came from behind, and William came over with a glass of juice. He stopped beside her and pat her head lovingly, “Why are you here alone? I’ve been looking for you for a long time.”
She smiled sweetly, “Honey, what’s in your hand?”
“It’s kiwi juice, Dad asked me to bring it to you. Drink it.” He put the cup to her mouth, and she took a few sips before hugging him at his waist, “Do you have any thoughts about your birthday tomorrow?”
“My thoughts? Let me think. Thank you! My dear wife, for planning all of this for me.”
“That’s it?”
“I’m happy, overjoyed, and filled with glee!”
She burst into laughter, “Honey, are you making a report? You’re so funny!”
He also laughed and said, “Finish the juice. Dad said that this will replenish the baby. He even wanted me to prepare two cups for you since you have two gems in your stomach!”
“Heavens!” She stuck out her tongue and said, “If that’s the case, then don’t I have to eat three portions of the food? Two for the babies, and one for me?”
“Yes, that’s what dad meant. He said that you are too thin and need to strengthen your nutrition. He’s afraid that the babies will be too frail and small when they are born.”
At the thought of Hayden’s serious expression, William laughed, and Valeria followed suit and said, “Hubby, if I really followed Dad’s instructions to eat and drink that much, will I gain 300 extra pounds of weight?”
William nodded, “I think so.”
“Then will you still like me?” She continued to ask.
“Of course, I will still like you even if you gain 500 pounds!”
“You’re lying, aren’t you? If I gained weight to that extent, you would definitely run away without looking back. Then, I wouldn’t even be able to catch up to you because I’d be too fat.” Valeria gesticulated and laughed.
“To get you to keep on liking me, I have to control my diet and take care of my body!”
William smiled evilly and said, “That’s not necessary. I think it’s better to be fatter. It feels good to touch.”
“Humph! Nonsense! I don’t want to talk to you anymore!” She pretended to be angry.
“No! Finish the juice!”
She refused, “I won’t unless you feed me.”
“Okay, I will!” William took a sip of the fruit juice and looked down at her. Valeria looked at him with wide eyes, surprised by his seductive ways.
She kissed him with a blush, and the juice slowly flowed from his mouth to hers. It was wonderful. She swallowed the juice as he continued to kiss her.
As they were kissing, his cell phone rang. He raised his head with difficulty and sighed, “What a good timing!”
Even though he spoke with sarcasm, he still answered the phone, “Hello?”
“Mr. Howard, Hardy fainted and was sent to the hospital.” Marcus’s voice was filled with excitement, “This happened shortly after his meeting with Talitha. Looks like the blood vermin has worked.”
“Hehe! So fast?” William raised his eyebrows and chuckled. He thought it would take at least a day for it to work, so he did not expect Hardy to be defeated so quickly, “So we can finally see the effects of our hard work?”
“Yes, I have arranged for people to go to the hospital, and I will know what will happen soon.”
“Okay, keep an eye on him and let me know if there’s any news.”
After hanging up the phone, he looked back at Valeria who was staring at him intently, “Our plan is finally bearing its fruits!”
“Would Hardy have the same headache as you did at the beginning?”
William shook his head and said, “I don’t know! It’s said that this blood vermin’s ability is to control. Hardy’s symptoms should just be the beginning, right? I guess he will feel pain when he is disobedient and fights against the people who cast the vermin.”
“Is that so? Anyway, they’re all bad people, and I wish the Anderson family would suffer the same fate as Hardy!”
“The Anderson sisters will soon go against each other. In fact, compared to Hardy’s pain, it would be more amusing to see the two sisters fight for him. Natasya is not as noble as she looks, and she would definitely look for another target when she realizes that her plan against me has failed. Therefore, Hardy would be her most convenient option!”
“Dear, I suddenly remembered something. When are you going to announce the relationship between Raelyn, Devon, and Declan?”
“I’ve thought about it, but I didn’t dare to do it because I was afraid that it would damage your grandfather’s and Archer’s reputation. Think about it, this information doesn’t merely affect Raelyn, and it would be detrimental to the Saunders family!”
“That’s true.” Valeria nodded in disappointment, “Raelyn is so vicious. How could she be from the Saunders family? Look at my father, grandfather, and even Raymond! None of them are vicious, so why is she? Maybe she’s not actually from our family? She doesn’t resemble neither my father nor my grandfather at all.”
William laughed, “If she wasn’t from your family, Gavin would never treat her so well! He isn’t stupid!”
“But I’m really suspicious!” She sighed, “Maybe there’s been a genetic mutation!”
“Alright, let’s go back first. Didn’t you say you’re going to bake a cake for me? I’m waiting for it.”
She was immediately reminded after hearing his words, “Let’s go! I would have forgotten about it if you didn’t mention it.”
After she returned to the house, she put on an apron and went to the kitchen. William wanted to follow her to see her making the cake, but he was pushed out.
“This is a surprise. Go upstairs and wait. I will call you when it’s done.”
She was being so mysterious. Since she didn’t want him to watch her, he shook his head and left with a smile.
