Silas mixed Talitha’s vermin powder with Natasya’s. After stirring it up, he sealed it up and handed it to Raymond.
Raymond looked at him strangely, “That’s it?”
“Yes, that’s it! You are in charge of the rest. If you want to know the reason behind me doing this, go to the Wolf Group and ask William about it tonight.” Silas said as he handed the antidote to him, “I’m leaving now. Talitha will wake up after you spray this on her.”
After Silas left, Raymond sprayed the antidote on Talitha a few times and then put it away. Soon, she opened her eyes.
He looked relieved, “Talitha! You finally woke up. You fainted so suddenly just now and scared me to death.”
Talitha did not know what had happened, so she looked at him dizzily, “Raymond, did I faint just now? What happened?”
“I don’t know either. You just fainted out of nowhere, so I helped you to my car in order to take you to the hospital. How do you feel now? Are you still feeling uncomfortable?”
“I’m much better now.” She struggled to sit up, “Why would I faint out of nowhere? What’s going on?”
“I don’t know. Is it because you have low blood sugar because of your pregnancy?” He asked calmly.
“Probably…” Talitha was not sure either. She looked at the time and realized that there was not much time left, so she immediately took the bag and got off the car hurriedly, “Raymond, I’ll go first.”
“Okay!” He did not stop her from leaving as a sneer appeared on the corners of his mouth.
He was not a fool and basically guessed William’s intentions.
William was an extremely intelligent man for coming up with such a bright idea to deal with the Anderson family.
Talitha rubbed her forehead and went to the private room she booked. However, she realized that something was wrong when she suddenly passed out.
She had always been very healthy and never felt dizzy. Why did she suddenly feel dizzy today? Did Raymond do something to her?
As she thought about it, she immediately opened her bag to check, but the vermin powder was untouched, so she sighed in relief. She must have been overthinking. How could a kind-hearted loser like Raymond ever do something bad to her?
After she sat down in the private room, she began to think about how to drug Hardy.
The best thing to use was to drug the wine and fruit juices. She ordered her food first, ordered two boxes of black charcoal yogurt, opened one of them, and poured in all the compote powder before she mixed it well.
The next thing to do was to wait. Hardy was on time today and appeared at the door at six o’clock sharp.
She smiled and asked him to sit down. Then, she handed the yogurt to him and said, “I specially ordered this for you. It’s very delicious, and I’ve already finished mine.”
Hardy looked at the empty yogurt box in front of her and took it without thinking much. He could not escape from her anymore, and he did not think that she would hurt him, so he took the yogurt and drank it.
Seeing him drink the yogurt, Talitha’s eyes twinkled, and her heart blossomed with joy. She smiled and asked the waiter to serve the dishes.
The dishes she ordered were all Hardy’s favorite. He was hungry and started to eat.
Today, Talitha was much more likable than usual. She did not spew nonsense nor tease him about anything, so he had a relatively peaceful dinner.
He had always thought that she would be shameless enough to ask him for inconsiderate requests.
Therefore, he was very satisfied with her quietness, but, at the same time, he was confused, “Does pregnancy change a person’s character and temper? Talitha is too quiet today. The impossible is happening!”
Hardy found something odd about Talitha’s quietness, so he slowed down his eating and observed Talitha. She felt his gaze upon her and asked, “Hardy, why are you secretly looking at me?”
“No, I just feel that you’re different from usual.” He replied.
“Really? I don’t think so?” She smiled sweetly at him.
Previously, his attitude towards her had always been lukewarm, but now he said that she was different from before. Was this an effect of the vermin?
As she thought about it, she decided to test him and reached out to grab his hand. He frowned slightly and pulled his hand away from her’s, “What are you doing?”
“Can’t I touch your hand?” She asked.
“Sure, but I’m eating now.” He picked up his chopsticks and started to eat again.
Seeing that he was still very much against her, she decided not to probe any further. She put down her chopsticks and went outside.
In the bathroom, she sent a message to Raelyn, “Mom, I succeeded. He has eaten the vermin!”
“Really? That’s good to hear!” Hearing that Talitha also succeeded, Raelyn was extremely happy, “Talitha, since you have already succeeded, don’t stay here for too long. Come back soon.”
Talitha returned to the room and made up an excuse to tell Hardy, “My mother is a little sick, so I have to leave first.”
“Is that so? Let me give you a ride!” Hardy was relieved when he heard that she had to leave early and immediately asked to send her back thoughtfully.
“There’s no need for that. I drove here.” She refused.
He did not insist anymore and got up to leave with her. When they parted ways in the parking lot, he especially told her, “Drive carefully.”
She nodded and got in the car to start the engine. As she drove out of the parking lot, she looked at her rearview mirror and saw him still waiting for her.
Talitha didn’t care about what he was thinking because she was too busy being happy that he had eaten the blood vermin. She didn’t have to worry that he wouldn’t listen to her anymore.
Hardy watched Talitha drive away in the parking lot and turned to get in his car. He felt an uncomfortable and strange feeling in his chest. Did he eat too much tonight?
Or was there a problem with the food?
This private home cuisine restaurant was very famous, so that wasn’t possible, but why did he feel so uncomfortable?
He suppressed the discomfort in his heart and started his car to leave the restaurant. He thought that the discomfort would be temporary, but he didn’t expect it to become increasingly more intense.
At first, he just felt an uncomfortable sensation in his heart, however, now his whole chest began to ache.
He felt as if something was tearing at his heart, so he hit the brakes and parked his car on the side of the road. He reached out for his phone and called Paisley. She answered, “Yes, Bro!”
“Paisley, I’m not feeling well! My… my chest hurts so much… Come and send me to the hospital right now!”
“Ah? What’s wrong with you? I’ll be there immediately. Hold on.” She ran out in her coat in a hurry.
Hardy rested his head on the steering wheel after the phone call. The heart-wrenching pain was getting worse, and he couldn’t hold on for any longer and passed out.
